Had to turn it to the lowest sensitivity, but it pinpointed the breaker just fine.I needed to find the breaker for a light switch so I unscrewed the light bulb and screwed in one of those adapter things that lets you plug something in where a light bulb goes. Those don’t have a ground pin so I used an adapter. I was afraid it might not work but the signal went through just fine and I was able to find the breaker. Nice to be able to change out a light switch without shocking myself or turning every breaker off until I finally found the one I wanted.

It can’t find the circuit you’re testing. To it all the breakers are plugged into the tester. Set the sensitivity to the lowest setting and all the breakers register. Total waste of money.

Great value for a tool that lets you find the breaker for a circuit. The instructions were written as an interpretation, so you must get past that. Also make sure you adjust the sensitivity(test on a circuit close by) or you’ll have to decipher from multiple breakers. All in all, it serves its’ purpose well.

I could not use this tool to identify the circuit breaker for circuits with multiple outlets or three way switches. I was able to locate the breaker for a circuit with only one receptacle like a refrigerator. The GFI TESTER WORKS OK

It’s difficult at best! Alerts on many circuits. Adjustments sometimes works.Ive used it maybe 10x and now the sending unit does not work.This is a huge disappointment. Always wanted one, should have spent a bit more for a real brand.Skip this thing! I’d give 0 stars but it’s not an option.

I’m a person who can do a lot of home repairing just by watching some videos, however electricity scares me a bit. This device is inexpensive and I wish I had bought one years ago. It helped me identify an outside circuit without flipping every switch on my circuit breaker box. I also found out I reversed the hot wire and neutral on an extension chord I repaired. It’s well made, well packaged and the seller contacted me after to make sure I was happy with it. I recommend it for the casual home repairman….like me.

This device does work for its intended functions. However, a particular bad design of this product was to combine the on/off switch with sensitivity adjustment together into the dial wheel. When you turn off the device, you lose the sensitivity position where it works. The next time you use it, you’ll have to re-calibrate and find the right position of sensitivity where it worked, the device can find the right breaker without sound off on nearby breakers. The wheel is a bad selection for sensitivity adjustment, too easy to be bumped to other positions. It does not have a lot of tolerance for the working sensitivity where the right breaker is identified while no false alarm sound off. So to use it appropriately, you have to always find a nearby outlet and adjust sensitivity to the sweet spot and then proceed to identify the correct circuits.

s testing and tracing system works well and can allow one person to identify every outlet connected to a load center without help. I would only add a means to attach the tester/sender to non 3-prong outlets, such as light sockets or via alligator clips. It does all that it claims and does it well.
