I have a parallel loop back circuits,to keep my dogs front going out front. The length of the circuitry is probably 10,000 feet in length 7 rolls of #12 stranded 1500 foot reels. 5 foot between the wires.I was able to find the cables.The tool was too sensitive.to fine the break.So I bought a tool that did work for this type of circuit loop back, I used an ohm meter to find my break. Lighting stroke my dog fence wire, burn up the transmitter. and splices that I made.

I knew approximately where the power line was. Just needed to find the break. This item was worthless in that regards. I purposely walked 20-30 feet away from where the power cable was and it was still registering as “the cable is here”. I connected both of the transmitter clips to the neg & pos wires going underground. Item beeped everywhere when it was close to the ground. Item was returned and the cost was refunded.

First thing I’ve found that can accurately locate underground or hidden cables. I have expensive Fluke and other cable locaters, and this one actually works for underground cables. Suggest the sensitivity be adjusted down as another reviewer mentioned for best results.This unit is worth the money.
