I bought this book for a friend who had breast cancer. She had 4 small children and wanted them to feel her love even when she was not around. This book is beautiful and uplifting.

I got this book for my son (4) and he really likes it! He asked for read it 6 times in a row the first day we received it. The first time I read it, I bawled like a baby. It’s one of those books that is great for children, but also for adults. It’s also really helped my son in certain situations I remind him about the invisible string that connects us. Great book and I’ll be giving this away to friends with kids!

I bought this book to have as part of my counseling stash for kids. It arrived in perfect condition. My 4 year old saw it and asked me to read it to her. Even at 4 she understood the message and loved it. Highly recommend for personal and professional use if you work with little ones.

This book is great for little ones who are getting ready to make a move. (Or have experienced a loss) It is a reminder that despite the distance they are always connected to the ones they love. It is beautifully illustrated and easy to understand. There’s also a page about a family member who is in Heaven. I found it useful.

This book helped my child focus on the invisible ties that hold us together when we have to be apart. It gave examples such as the mom being in the living room while the kids were in bed, the mom being at work while the kids were in school, and then morphed into more abstract ideas such as staying connected across different parts of the world, outer space, or even heaven.Probably best for moms and kids. No mention of dads at all, which is too bad. My partner is a single dad whose kids can get emotional when they know they won’t see him for a while. The concept of the book is right, but could be more inclusive (of dads, minorities, other family members, etc). In all, my child loves it because it is very similar to our home circumstance.

We recently transitioned our 2 1/2 half-year-old into a big boy bed… He was struggling with us leaving his room at night, so we purchased this book along with some others to help him with the fears he was having of us leaving the room and – this seemed to be his favorite one, highly recommend and it’s such a cute message.

My daughter has just separated and her 5 year old was having a hard time with it. He loved this story and helped calm him tremendously since he could send an invisible string to his dad. I would definitely recommend this book to whoever is going through the same situation. Btw, I’m always searching for great books like this. I read them myself before I give them to my daughter.

Our family is in process of losing a patriarch and we needed a way to open a serious conversation with our 8yr old. This book is so sweet, and provides a great conversation starter about love, life, and death. Connection is what it’s all about.

I got it for my son to deal with some separation anxiety. It is colorful and sweet, with great message. Will note one page mentions “uncle Brian in heaven” so depending on your religious preferences or if you have even talked about death, just wanted you to be aware.

“The Invisible String” is an absolute gem! I bought it for my 7-year-old daughter, and it quickly became one of her favorites, as well as mine. This heartwarming story is perfect not only for Valentine’s Day but for any day, especially for mothers and their kids. The message is so touching that it brings tears to your eyes. It beautifully captures the bond between loved ones and the comfort of knowing that we are always connected. I’m definitely looking forward to buying more books from this author!

This was an amazing book for my 2 year old who had a lot of big changes in life in a short amount of time. Sweet and just what we needed to remind her of the connection we all have as a family, near or far. Definitely good for separation anxiety and as a bedtime book to help instill those warm fuzzies.

As one who is new to the mental health field, I am constantly on the lookout for books on the topic of attachment. This is a great choice for parents to read to their children. The book stresses the idea that we all are attached to an invisible string of love from our caregivers, friends etc. The book is a light, easy and enjoyable read.

This book is very sweet and my toddler seems into it. It’s nice for bedtime since that’s when the story takes place. My only hesitation is the reference to an uncle in heaven. I love the sentiment that people who have passed are still with us. But I wasn’t prepared to broach the topics of religion and death yet. So far, it’s all good though. I glossed over it and my toddler hasn’t noticed.

My daughter’s school lent this to us whenever my dad was declining. The story is wonderful for a loss or moving distance. It helped us navigate conversations. We had to have our own ❤️

I’ve been wanting to purchase this book for quite awhile. In fact, it’s been sitting in my saved cart since one of our close friends passed away over a year ago. I was trying to find the right way to discuss it with my young boys, and this book was continually mentioned.Recently, my youngest, started having some major attachment anxiety issues when leaving for school in the morning. His amazing teacher recognized his spike too. I actually came on here to order a “pocket hug” to show I’m always with him, and as I went to check out I noticed this in my saved items.I thought it’d be perfect! The next morning, I read it to both boys. Honestly, I barely managed to keep a dry eye! We discussed all the invisible strings we have (each other, sister in college, nana, our doggies in heaven, etc). They can feel it tug in their hearts whenever needed. Each morning, we mime tugging on a string to each other before they leave now, just as a reminder. I did purchase the pocket hug and tied a string to it- but, I forgot to give it to them, and I haven’t had to either. So, we’ll save it for now. This is such a special book, and one that will be passed down and shared in my family for many years!
