Does what its supposed to do very well. However, it should come with coax female to female adapters so you can attach the sensor on the end of a cable. I bought 4 adapters so good now.

This will not last. Had to get a replacement for the first one after a couple of weeks of use because barrel in toner started spinning and broke whatever contact inside and would not tone outlets anymore. The replacement just broke last week for the same reason. But i can say this one lasted a good 4-5mo…

Works well but be careful not to twist the coax connector on the top of the device when attaching a cable to the connector. It is soldered to a computer board inside and if the coax connection gets turned it’ll snap the solder and stop working. I had to exchange my broken one for a new one.

Its easy to forget the test pieces but that’s a personal problem. Good tool for cable work though. Fyi it won’t tone thru a splitter but that’s normal anyway

A good unit for identifying cables except that, per the instructions, you have to verify the absence of voltage on each cable before hooking this unit up. It does not have voltage detection and seemingly no voltage protection. If you accidentally connect to a sat receiver or power supply fed line there goes this unit.

ection inside is weak ha to add wall plate nut to keep barrel from twisting off

ng our camper TV cables. My son was able to trace and test our cables in our camper. We just purchased the camper from a different party and they had only satellite TV set up. With this tool, we were able to get our camper so that it hooked up to cable in the RV park.
