My last card reader had a bent pin. What I like about this one is how there is some depth to the card sliding down about 1/2 inch before reaching the pins, which allows the pins to align perfect. The last card reader I had less that a 1/4 inch before reaching the pins, so one of the pins got bent when inserting the card.

Call me old fashion but I was quite irritated when I realized my new laptop had no USB reader! Found this item and it’s the perfect size to not get in the way while working. Super nice, great options for the card slot sizes also.

I do not have to use this often, it works well on USB3 and will accept the SD and microSD cards. I use the microSD cards in my MP3 players so it is an easy switch to music or audio I want to use.

I came across several old compact flash cards from a camera I no longer have. I wanted to upload the photos on the compact flash cards to my computer (PC, Windows 10) but had no way to do it so I purchased this card reader. Plugged it into the USB port and it worked flawlessly.

I had gotten this along with some sd cards to essentially give myself more space for laptop games. It works fantastically. I was able to start Zenless Zone Zero after however long of wanting to play it thanks to this purchase. If you’re also getting this for the same reason, it’s worth the money. Would order again if for some reason my current one gets destroyed. Lol.

I thought I would be able to work with the short cable, but none of my USB hubs will work with this for some reason – I tried two. When I connect the reader to the hub, the cards don’t show up. When I connect the reader directly to my PC, the card shows up. However, when it’s connected to my PC, it’s not in a convenient location to insert/remove cards. So, I am purchasing a USB A extender cable. I hope that using an extension cable doesn’t have the same issue as using a hub. While I won’t remove any stars for the extremely short cable since it was my fault, I do wonder in what circumstances a cable of that length is useful; probably when connected to a laptop vs a desktop.

Like the subject says, this is my second reader (the older C368 is almost 2 years old). I decided to purchase the C368PRO model because I like the idea of being able to alternate between USB-A or USB-C connections. My MAC has four USB-C ports and my doc has only one USB-A port, so it just made sense. The first time I plugged in the reader to the USB-C port on my MAC, I didn’t push it in completely. It was a bit stiff at first, so I thought it was seated and the connection dropped while I was looking at files. This was 100% my fault. Once I pushed it a bit harder, it “clicked” (and so did my brain!). “You gotta push it all the way in, man!” From then on, the card reader worked very well with good speed when transferring data. I mostly use the reader to view high definition photos on SD, MicroSD and CF cards. The photos range from 3MB up to almost 20MB and I am pleased that I can preview from the card without bogging down my computer. It has always connected fast, and most importantly, it just WORKS. Obviously there are other variables to consider like your USB port speed and/or card speed, but as far as the reader is concerned, it works and works well. Highly recommend.

Very easy to use. Works well for my laptop that doesn’t take an sd card directly.

Could not pull images with this. Can still attach to no hard drive card pc. 32 gb card is nice but still miss pocket unit.

I needed an SD Card Reader and found this one. It has sockets for all memory card types I have used in the past and is totally plug and play in both my MacBook and Windows PC. Got to give this one an A+.

I needed to put some files on a micro SD card, but they are so small even with the SD card adapter. I was worried the transfer would take a while, but it went reasonably quick! My old laptop was able to connect to it right away and had no problems in transferring!

I have used this product for traveling for over a year. It is easy to use, lightweight and works as promised. I bought two and have not had any issues with either one. We travel with our DSLR cameras. We like to download the cards at night and cull through the shots for the day. This product makes it easy since our cameras have different size cards.

rchased this unit for the ones that came with some of the Micro SD cards did not work properly. This unite is just plug and play. Works faster if you plug it into a 3.0 or higher USB port but works good with a USB 1 or 2. It is a good deal but with the time now it is a bit more expensive than what it should be. Still it does the job.

ll and worth the purchse. This device much improves the download speed for RAW photos. My Canon camera, although state of the art, takes too long to download directly. By taking the data card from the camera and using the reader, my workload is much more efficient.

; Plug and play. I bought this to download photos off an old digital camera’s SD card. Plugged it into my Acer laptop’s USB-C port and downloaded the pics in seconds. It worked as advertised, now my PC can read multiple memory storage devices.

ve this thing. I have SD cards and Micro SD cards and this thing makes it so easy to download my photos. I’ve had it for a month and it’s been great. According to other reviews these don’t last long. Fingers crossed mine continues to function properly in the long run.

needs to do. It’s an SD card reader. I used it for transfering relatively small files (less than two gigabytes), so I can’t give a full review of it’s speed; but it does exactly what it needs to do, and does it well.

Chitown Reader –
several old SD cards of various sizes and needed something to read them. After a slight delay in my laptop recognizing the drive, this worked perfectly. The cards all loaded easily and I had no problems when this was connected to either a Windows laptop or a Mac.Great price point for a lot of versatility. Highly recommend.

d this for a new camera, and it works very well. Three different cards accepted, as shown. I find that when using a USB gang plug, it works on most, but not all, of the plug ins. I’ve had it for 5 years.

xpensive and it works beautifully!. Imagine my surprise (and dismay) when I discovered my new $1300 computer doesn’t have a card reader! Combine that with a camera that only saves photos to a card. I had NO idea what, exactly, I was looking for, but I made the right choice. It came today, I plugged it in to my computer and it was good to go. I love it! No more bad words (mentally) directed to the manufacturer of my computer. Fast shipping, too! My most sincere thanks and I highly recommend the SmartQ C368 USB 3.0 SD Card Reader.

ld give this a solid 5 stars if it weren’t for the cord. It is far too short. I have had to use an extension cable on it. The device works great however.

e so much easier. I like that I was able to just plug and play. It so effortlessly allows me to download my images and since I usually have a lot to download it saves me so much time.

ls. I am happy with the quality of the materials for this device. The reader has a good weight to it and doesn’t feel flimsy or easily breakable. The cord is coated with a nice material. The part that comes out of the device is reinforced and can bend quite a bit without me fearing it will fray or break. The device works as intended and can transfer raw picture files quickly. It’s not clunky to put in a bag. Good product!

lems at first. I attached a USB-C to USB-A adapter to the reader’s cable and plugged it into my older Windows 10 laptop, which does not support USB-C.All of the available “bays” of the device appeared (within “My Computer”) very briefly as separate drive letters, then disappeared from view. The operating system then presented an error message saying that the device was not recognized. This happened several times in a row.I rebooted the laptop, leaving the reader plugged in but with no card inserted. Again the device wasn’t recognized.Next attempt (no reboot): With the device not plugged into the laptop, I inserted an SD card into the reader and then plugged it in. This time the operating system recognized the device and it seemed to work fine afterward. If it is by-design that a card should first be inserted into the reader, the manufacturer should add a note about that within the packaging. (Other readers I’ve used have not had such a requirement.)Not the most auspicious beginning. I’m still putting it through its paces, so for now only 3 stars until I get a feel for how reliable it is.The cable is stiff and very short, which makes using the device a bit troublesome considering the strong curl. The manufacturer should consider a longer cable. If that were to add a dollar to the price, so what? It would be worth it for the convenience.

ppy with this purchase. It was inexpensive and can be used for all types of cards, which is great. Because, I have a lot of old cards that I had that I didn’t know what was on them.. lol 😂

rth more than the price. I read alot of bad reviews saying these card readers weren’t up to the task and stopped working after a few uses but maybe I just got one from a good batch made. I’ve been using mine nonstop for almost half a year now and it is stilling working just as great as day one. The price I paid compared to “better quality” versions leaves me wondering why other companies charge what they do. Definitely worth every penny.

ure out, even if you’re completely blind like me. I am a music producer who uses SD cards to record natural audio samples, things like ocean waves and other nature sounds. So I need to bring the SD cards back to the studio and process what I collected. This card reader was really really fast and works great on my Mac running macOS Monterey. As I said in the title, I’m completely blind. So I’ll tell you how to oriented if you’re having trouble as other reviewer‘s have said. There is one side where you can feel what feels like a shiny little window. That side goes up. The both sides have some engraving on it, I can’t see what they are. Assuming there the company logo and such. But as long as you have the little shiny window side facing up, it’s oriented properly for you. The other thing to note is that when you slide the SD card in, you might have to push a little harder than you normally do with some SD card slots on your camera or audio equipment. to get it out, you just pull it out. You don’t press it in and have it spring out like you do on some things. Once you have that figured out, works great. Really happy about this, as I have an ocean side trip where I need to take samples of a whole ton of different ocean waves and surface for some upcoming projects. And it doesn’t do me any good unless I can download the files to my computer. And my audio recording equipment doesn’t do as well or is fast connecting to the Mac. Not directly. So just popping the SD card out of it and putting it in this reader will be super super fast! I ran some test with it and it’s really speedy.
