This makes finding the right fuses for tapping into a breeze. Also an easy way to test if motors/lights work without messing with wires.Only major issue is that using it on 24v doesn’t always work and I’ve burned out 2 probes already.

This tool is much reviewed on the internet – seems usually by people/techs that have never taken it out of their tool box.It most certainly is useful but I think more for the ability to activate/test components. A lot to remember in the instructions and so if you’re like me, an occasional DIY user, you’ll need to actually take it out and use it while reading the instructions to properly access it’s usefulness. I seem to have survived without it for 50 years, but I always like buying tools. The four stars is just because I can’t fully address the practical uses yet. Four stars for easy to use is because I think I’ll need a couple of lead accessories to compensate for thickness of test tip. Three stars for accuracy is because I can’t compare it to anything yet, although the voltage reading is the same as my Extech DMM.Whatever you do, understand the electrical circuit before activating the power button or you’ll fry something. I think a double safety on switch would help prevent to hasty a decision to power the circuit.

I’m a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic. I use this tool twice a week. It gets me out of a bind every time. I recommendthe wire piercing attachments also. Makes it easier to send power through the wire. Especially in those tight places.

I was skeptical at first but read a lot of reviews and did a lot of research. From what I gathered it was a must have tool. The reviews were right, it is a must have tool. My multimeters now collect dust. Does everything an auto mechanic needs for electrical repairs and diagnosis. Plus provides 12v power or ground. I would recommend getting the test leads with it, makes it even more universal and convenient.

I’m an avid automotive DIYer and I absolutely love this tool. It is a quality diagnostic tool that can be used for basic electrical problems. It supplies power and ground if you want it to. It also can check for power and ground. This tool has saved me lots of money on just one job. On my 2009 Civic, my rear door would not lock when I pressed the lock button. This tool helped me confirm that the lock actuator was broken. I removed the door panel and revealed the connector for the lock actuator. This tool helped me do two things: 1) Check for power and ground on the wires that feed the actuator and 2) provide power and ground to the actuator to see if it would engage. I found that the wiring was fine (power and ground were present) but when I provided the actuator with power and ground the lock did not engage. Dealers or shops would likely charge an hour’s worth of labor for that job, and that’s what this tool costs.
