Our original plug was getting quirky. We had to wiggle it to get the lights to work on our boat trailer and sometimes it wouldn’t work at all and we had no lights. Our plug looked fine, so we were a bit skeptical of buying a new one but to our surprise this one works perfectly. So glad we purchased this.

Very good quality, and a must have for newer vehicles that have the trailer wiring plug a good distance from the hitch. This adapter will work for all 5 pin applications, and most 4 pin. I have a 2008 Ram which has the 7 pin outlet all the way up by the license plate, making the non-extended adapters impossible to use with most trailers, as the trailer wiring rarely extends much more than 6″-8″ beyond the hitch on the trailer.
