It plugs in between the tractor and trailer electrical connector. Its pretty straight forward and easy to use. The lights will tell you were the problem is, just be sure to read the instructions. This is a really greart product to have for fleet owners.

Having a tool like this in the shop is awesome. Saves a ton of time by not having to use a test light for every plug and go back and forth turning light on and off. Great tool good value.Built well, and performans as it should.

Unique and easy trailer wiring tester. 12V trailer wires can be a real problem and wrongly wired connectors can also be an issue. Use this tester to make sure things are wired correctly and working properly. Way easier than a test light and probe!

It works well. I just wish it could also check the trailer wiring. The round pins do not accept the trailer plug.

The description and title are very accurate. This is a round pin connector and on my truck I have the flat blade type connectors. Unfortunately I was unable to test the product, but it looks awesome and feels really well made. I was really looking forward to using it. My bad for not checking my truck first. Make sure you know before you purchase since there are two different types.

I had to use a magnifying glass to read the instructions. They were not clear and did not properly convey how to use the item. After thinking I may understand I went out to the vehicle and realized that there is evidently more than one type of 7 pin trailer hitch. No idea there were a regular and round type. This being round be careful and inspect the connector on the vehicle first as this may not be what you need. I guess it’s partially on me for not knowing but even if I did I think it is still not documented well how to use it.
