I was having codes thrown on my dash like service traction control, service anti theft, etc., etc. It wouldn’t happen all the time just sometimes at random. This last time my pickup started but the tach wasn’t working and my pickup was very hard starting. I disconnected the negative battery cable for 5 min then reconnected it and my pickup started up fine and no codes on dash and the tach worked as it should. I did some research and Chevy pickups older ones, mine is an 09, were saying the ignition switch could be bad. The ignition switch controls a lot of different things. I bought this switch and watched some u tube videos and installed it myself. I haven’t had any problems since. Everything seems normal again. Wasn’t too hard to install and saved me 2-3 hundred dollars in labor cost. Watch the videos!

My 08 GMC Sierra 1500 was having a problem with starting. I bought this. Watched a YouTube video on how to change it. Took me less than 15 minutes to do it. It works just like new now. I highly recommend this part to fix the ignition switch problem.
