It’s only been about 2 days since I started using this AC adapter for my newly purchased Nintendo Switch OLED from Japan while I was visiting Tokyo, and it has been working just fine! If you are or will be in Japan anytime soon, I would recommend buying the Switch from Bic Camera or one of the major electronics stores while the JPY is still weak comparable to the USD. Your savings will still be significant enough to purchase this power supply (or similar) and still have saved from your Switch purchase.As you may or may not know, the Switch is not region locked, so as long as you boot it in English, you are fine. Just be sure to pick up a replacement AC Adapter or you might risk frying your Switch. Also, if you are like me, you would take advantage while in Japan and purchase a few games. Just be sure that the game(s) have the ENGLISH option available. Otherwise, you might be stuck with a Japanese game. When in doubt, ask the sales staff, but at Bic Camera, the games on display had a sticker that indicated the game was English enabled.
