  1. Great product but-

I love the printer. Works amazingly. Prints slow though. Took a while to connect to my phone and wifi. You have to really read the instructions carefully. The second instruction sheet took a while to understand. Burned some braincells for 30 minutes trying to get the printer to connect. Probably error on my end. Pictures step by steps arent always easy to understand. Overall, great printer for its price.

    Great product but-

I’ve been very pleased with this purchase. It replaced a similar older model and is working well. Installation was a breeze, and it connected to my wifi easily. With the downloadable Canon app, scanning is a breeze. I saw a video online which gave directions such as “Press this button, press that button, hit x 3 times, press more buttons…” and I couldn’t belive how many steps it gave to scan. But with the app, you just hit “scan” and it scans. The app connected quickly to this model. I’ve read that printing is very slow, but printing in black is quite fast.I’ve also been happy with how easily it prints saved documents stored on my phone via wifi from the living room to the office without me having to go to the printer each time. All my documents whether printed, scanned, or copied, have come out crisp and legible. The nice red color and the light weight is a plus. The only slight downside is that installing the cartridges is physically more difficult than earlier models, but this is not a deal breaker, and most users probably won’t be bothered by this. Seniors like myself will probably find it a minor inconvenience.

After one year of use, they stop using it because of an issue with the paper not printing, but they didn’t know how to troubleshoot. The quality of the product is great. The image quality is also superb. It’s easy to use. I never used it for scanning.

KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) — this Canon printer does exactly that. It prints, it scans, and it supports AirPrint. It just works, with no nonsense. I love how straightforward these inexpensive Canon printers are; they don’t bombard you with horrible software, cumbersome drivers, or features you’ll never use (cough cough HP). The print quality is excellent for the price. I’ve even helped relatives print things like wedding invitations on heavy cardstock, and the quality looked professional. My last Canon printer was nearly a decade old and still printed like new, but the scanner gave out, so I upgraded and passed that one alone. I honestly appreciate that this printer doesn’t even have a screen — it’s a printer and doesn’t need one! It just needs to print.

Nice printer just right size for my office. I don’t do a lot of printing just about 4 times a month.I had to contact a Tech on the phone to help me to connect to internet. I must warn you after a lot of noise it will print just wait and be patience. The printing is fine. The copier works fine. Good printer for the price.

Okay! From reading some of the reviews about the set up process I was skeptical in purchasing however obviously I bought it! At first I became frustrated with setting up the “wireless” part of the printer via following the instructions because it was not recognizing my connection. LUCKILY I had a usb cord so I connected it that way. Once the connection was found I took the cord out and it was wireless! So I HIGHLY recommend using a usb cord to connect it afterwards you will not need the cord! I tested printing from my laptop and iPhone! Print quality was great. The printer is durable. I do believe you have to purchase specific ink for this printer. The ink that I prev purchased with my mg2500 printer is not compatible for some reason. The instructions had more than needed information. With all the updates with the androids and IOS iPhones wireless printing feature should be automatically installed. Downloading the canon app in order to print wirelessly is not necessary but you still can download it if you’d like. I see a lot of people saying the set up is confusing. You just have to know what information to utilize and what is not necessary due to there being multiple ways you can set this printer up. When in doubt YOUTUBE 😊😊. Enjoy

got scared when i bought this because of all the reviews claiming it was complicated setting up and also using in general. it is not. literally just plug it in, download app. they’ll send you a ton of stuff about setting it up but that’s if you don’t have a smart phone. it’s really not complicated. as far as print goes, it’s crisp, not that fast, and ink doesn’t last very long. as in i print larger, mostly black, artworks and i used my first cartridge after over a year i think. so maybe for more average use it’s closer to 2-3 times a year. also it DOES come with ink. for the price, this is a solid printer. no need for anything crazier imo

I’d first like to say this is not the most intuitive printer to connect to wifi. It took about 2 hours to figure out how to connect to my router. The included paperwork doesn’t help much so I resorted to internet videos. Once that was done my laptop found it easily then my phone. The overall print quality is excellent. Clear, crisp and the colors are true. It’s a pretty good deal for the price. Took one star off for initial connectivity. If you’re looking for a basic printer at this price point you will like this one.

I have had three Canon MG3620 Printers. The MG3620 is a budget-priced Printer that delivers superior performance. I do a lot of printing of graphics, cards, calendars, letters and so on. The ‘Pros’ are the MG3620 is compact, copy’s well, prints crystal clear, speedily and does so using, in my opinion, minimal ink. The only ‘Con’ for me is that at some point, after considerable use, an Ink Absorber Full error message comes on and the printer stops functioning. The Ink Absorbers are easy to replace yet the Printer will still not function, Canon has it so the error message has to be professionally eradicated. That said, at $54.00 the Printer does a great job for three or four years before the error message appears so the Printer is still an amazing value. I highly recommend this Printer over much more expensive printers.

You have to work hard to make software this bad and this ugly. The default software install scattered its garbage apps, including an always on “quick menu” in the bottom right corner, all over and the apps’ UI was straight from Windows Vista. It made such a mess of my Mac I ended up having to restore my system from Time Machine. Also forget wi-fi printing from macOS and get a USB printer cable.Thankfully there’s a very easy solution: connect the printer via USB, download “MG3600 series CUPS Printer Driver…” from the Canon support website and install. This will just install the CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) drivers. Using System Settings quickly and easily install the printer and scanner without any garbage software. The printer works well and Image Capture has no problems scanning.Canon needs to rewrite their macOS software from scratch or even better just distribute the CUPS drivers.Printing from iOS works but again one of the worst UIs I’ve ever seen [on iOS].

For many years, I managed to get by without having a printer hooked up to my computer at home. Then the pandemic hit and I had to start doing a lot of my work from home. Somewhere in the bowels of my home, I had a Canon printer that I had purchased for, literally, ten bucks from some deal-of-the-day site. I took it out of the box, set it up, and used it until it died, which, surprisingly for a ten-dollar printer, took a good four years. It was so easy to operate and so useful and durable, that I figured I’d get another Canon printer. This one, while not quite as simple and cheap, has not disappointed me. I can’t speak to some of its features, because I’ve never used ’em. The printer very much wants you to use it wirelessly, and I don’t. I have a direct cable plugged from my laptop to the printer, and it works great. Setup was easy, and inserting the (rather expensive) ink cartridges was a snap. It led me through an alignment process and I was up and running. This printer can also, they say, be used as a scanner. Again, I’ve never tried this because I don’t care about that. All I wanted was a simple printer that will suck in blank paper and print out nice black-and-white or color documents. This does those things well and in over a year of use now has not let me down. I’ve had to replace the ink cartridges along the way, and replacing them was just as easy as the initial installation. On the rare occasions when something confused me about its operation, the online tools were easy to access and helped me to fix my problem. I liked my last Canon printer, I like this Canon printer, and my next printer will probably be a Canon, too.

This printer will work fine for my minimal home printing needs. The footprint is larger than I was expecting but I was able to find a place in my home office that worked fine. I’m very glad I read the reviews before placing the order because if I hadn’t, I would have boxed it back up and returned it.Pros:- All in one scanner, copier, and printer- Nicely designed app that connects to the cloud along with the files on your device- Wireless printing- Relatively small footprint for what it is- So far, nice paper feeding and processingCons:- The set up. Oh boy, the set up. I initially tried to set the printer up using wifi and my MacBook Pro. I downloaded the installer just like the instructions tell you to. It says to pick the printer but the actual model number isn’t listed, so I just picked the closest one (this is also the case in the app, but I’m only talking about desktop at the moment). I tried for almost an hour to get the blasted thing to work using the setup and troubleshooting wizards. I knew this was going to be a challenge. All the reviews I read told me so. I decided to switch to set up on my iPad using the Canon PRINT app. If I can impart any wisdom to you in this review it would be: START WITH THE APP AND A TABLET OR PHONE. It was simple to set up and the set up wizard worked a lot better. This model is the MG3600 and that is not an option listed, so you’ll select MG3620. A minor inconvenience and quite confusing, but the app figured it out right away and it wasn’t a problem. Once I had my phone, iPad, and my husband’s phone connected, I grabbed our computers. Because the printer was already set up, all I had to do was select the printer from the printer menu in whatever file I was in to print. No desktop set up necessary and completely wireless. That’s really the only con I can think of at this point. I was able to print several pictures using each of our devices and the printer is relatively quick for an inkjet. I haven’t tried the auto duplex (auto double sided) printing yet, but that’s a feature I’m looking forward to testing out. I’ll update this review as my thoughts change.

Update- This printer is a rattletrap. Very cheaply made, the front door won’t stay closed. So far it has eaten most of the paper I’ve fed into it and has taken me quite a bit of searching online how to get it unjammed. When it works it is lovely. When it’s bad its very, very bad. I’ll use it for another couple of weeks and then if it hasn’t straightened up I’ll return it.Original review. I ordered the Red MG3620 Canon Pixma printer. It is a pretty red except the top is a not so pretty brownish red. Why? Just why.Set up was easy enough with a USB cable but here are some things to know.1. I ordered the printer alone (59.) yet it came with ink. I almost ordered the “Printer+ink” for 114.00 but found ink cheaper elsewhere and THEN it came with ink anyway. It would have been nice to know.2. There was tape and some packing material stuck inside the printer near the ink slide bar that was in pretty tight and I was afraid I would break something if I pulled it out so I waited to get it out until I turned on the machine thinking it would be easier. No mention of how to remove without damaging the unit. When I plugged it in and turned on the printer the slide bar moved and it sounded pretty bad. I had to yank out the tape etc. to stop the awful sounds. It printed fine later so fingers crossed there.3. I had to watch a Youtube video on putting in the ink cartridges which was fine but odd that there was no mention in the instructions.4. Ditto on how the paper is inserted. The video I watched showed several little swing-out paper holder/guides for outcoming paper. This comment is for those saying the paper falls on the floor.5. At first the computer could not seem to find the printer and I realized the printer was not turned back on but it WAS connected with a RED USB cable that I bought on Amazon. Very snazzy with my red printer. So I turned it on and my computer found and installed the printer very quickly and then I printed my 1 page book club meeting list which shot right out. It is very crisp and clean.I think the instructions that came with the printer are for a range of printers which may be why it does not have ink and paper loading instructions.Like I said I am happy so far. I have 2 Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II printers which have been work horses. Occasionally quirky but with Kenoungh (go see the Barbie movie) looking around online I have been able to find the sometimes weird work-arounds.

La compré para las impresiones de trabajos escolares de mi hija.Y también para imprimir imágenes para que ella recorte.Venían con 2 tintas una tinta negra y otra de color.También tiene el servicio del escanear.Fue una buena compra. Y un precio razonable.

I got this printer for my art studio upstairs because I do like to print my photos and draw from them. It was difficult for me to connect with Wi-Fi so I’m using a USB cable. I had to installing uninstall a couple of times before it worked. Don’t give up!

I’ve been looking for a mobile printer to keep on my work truck, but I quickly found out that printers specifically made for on the go don’t use ink, regular paper, or even color, so I ordered this printer. When I first opened it and started learning about it. I was ready to return it, especially when I was having connection issues. After a five minute tech-support phone call with Canon I know keep the printer in my van at all times and could not be more happy with the product and the price!

This is a great printer for a small home office. I’m not doing a lot of printing, so this is perfect for what I need. The physical set up was easy however, connecting it to my laptop via Wi-Fi was a little frustrating and took a while. I gave up on connecting it to my phone because it just wasn’t working. My husband and I both tried multiple times and although it found the printer, it wouldn’t connect it to the app on my phone. Not a big deal, but rather annoying. Other than that seems to be a good printer.

This printer has basic function, but price is good. The only thing that I concerned is that there seems like not brand new, it has some color left inside the cartridge holder. I guess someone has used it before and then send it back. I didn’t return the printer but Amazon should really only sell brand new products.

I got this printer as a replacement for a failing model – the exact same model (Canon MG3620) that I’ve had for many years without any problems. Then it started to fail. Roller failure, print head issues, and regardless of cleanings and maintenance, it was time for a new one. This printer lasted me longer than any other printer I’ve had, so I wanted this same one, and fortunately, Amazon had it (from a third party of course), and it is BRAND NEW, not a refurbishment, like some other retailers are offering. This made the choice a simple one. This one is easy to set up on your wireless network. Within minutes, I printed from my PC and my phone. I had no idea I could find another new one of the same model after all these years.

The hardest part was prying it out of the styrofoam. Next challenge was getting the power cord to stay seated; it does not fit snugly and will fall out if you jar the machine too much. Setting it up was easy. I went to the Canon website, used a USB cord and was up and running quickly. I knocked off a star for the feeble power cord. This replaces a 5 and 1/5 year old Canon printer that started to refuse to speak to the computer-no amount of troubleshooting would get it to quit sulking.

. Print quality is perfect. However, when finished printing the printed paper flies out & lands on floor rather than the printer tray. Printer trays made of flimsy plastic but that’s not a problem. For the price this printer is very good for home use & small jobs.

CD disk to make it easy to install. I just installed this printer and actually have not used it much however I will say if you are looking for an installation that does not take you to websites to try to navigate this Cannon actually offers you the option of installing with a CD which they included. Another brand I bought and returned was a nightmare and I returned it. This installation went smooth. Just make sure you delete an old printer if you have one so it still does not try to connect to that one. That is what happened in the end once I deleted it it recognized the new printer. I hope this information helps because they deserve credit for making the installation work and easy.

ously got an HD 4155 series and it just kept creating errors for no good reason at all. So far this printer hasn’t given me any problems. Both the HD and the Canon have wireless capacity but I haven’t really needed it, whereas on the HD it seemed to be obligatory just to set it up. All I care about is that the thing runs and it prints what I tell it to print. Apparently that’s a real achievement nowadays.

Hz WiFi – Updated. The installation was not smooth. It took me several times to get it to connect to my Samsung S23+. The PC connection went smoothly. The main failing of this printer is that it does not support 5 GHz wifi. I run all of my equipment on 5 Ghz because of all of the 2.4 GHz networks in the neighborhood. So, I have to disconnect and reconnect to my 2.4 GHz network to print from any of my devices.–Update– I am able to print from my phone that is connected to my 5 GHz network on the printer connected to the 2.4 GHz network. I think my router (Xfinity gateway XB6) is making that happen. I am running with split bands, but somehow, the printer is printing.

ters for years. I’ve had many of these printers over the years and they seem to last quite awhile but eventually Iwill get a notification about the printer heads and the printer if too inexpensive to have repaired. I just but another one. The print quality seems okay but I’ve not have another printer to compare. My biggest issue with the printer is that it cycles through a noisy process and you have to wait, sometimes multiple times to complete the printing process. Ink is expensive but the 240 XXL is the best value.

ing!. So at first, I almost threw this printer out the window because it would not connect to my iPhone or Windows laptop. But, I put my pride aside and decided to call Customer Support, then hung up when the automated service said I needed a My Canon account first. So off I went to their website, created an account, registered my printer, waited for their blessing (it took about one full minute) to confirm my account, and then called Canon support. The young man that answered was very helpful and patient, and we figured out after the first failed attempt that my wifi is 5GHz and this Canon printer requires 2.4GHz wifi. So I turned the 2.4GHz on via my T-Mobile router/modem and off we went again through the setup.During the failed attempts, I would get the yellow/orange light turn on near the end of the setup, so for anyone who gets this error, it can be two different things, re-check the wifi password and make sure your wifi is setup for 2.4/5ghz or just 2.4ghz.The second time, the yellow light did not go off, and I could connect my Windows laptop to the printer (but not my iPhone, I still have not re-tried). I printed three pages to test it out; it was super fast and clear! Better than the laser printers at my office! ^_^The color of the printer is very nice with a dark burgundy top cover (where the scanner lid is), and the rest is a brighter red tone. I love the color, and since it is wireless, it does not need to sit in my room where my laptop is. I put it on a bookshelf, which looks like a shiny red box decoration. :)Would I suggest this printer? If you have the patience to set it up, I bought a canon printer before this one and had the same issue, and I went right back to the retail store and returned it.It’s also not a small printer, but it’s not ‘huge.’

less support. updated review – called support and was able to connect the printer to wifi and computer wirelessly. It’s extremely important to note that to connect your device, you should be using 2.4Ghz wifi, not the 5G version that is typically recommended by the service provider. The first time I tried to call support I was hung up (by the automated system) for not having a MyCanon account. After creating an account, the support team was very helpful. I wish they have placed the connection information into their troubleshooting, as it would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.

s printer was easy to connect to my computer and android phone. Printed on 8.5×11 and some 4×6 photos and all looks great. The printer is nice and small and looks neat in my office. It’s a little loud when it does it’s “dance” to get ready to print. (Not sure what’s it’s doing but I learn that most printers have to move parts prior to printing)Keep in mind that the included cartridges are starter cartridges and don’t have a lot of ink.

ted my sister to help me set this up, since I’m not exactly adept at technology–well, neither is she, but there’s safety in numbers, right? The good news is: even people who don’t know what they’re doing can set this up. It’s compact, so it doesn’t need a lot of space. I don’t print a lot–but what has come out of the printer looks fine, in BW or color. I suppose it’s a bit noisy as it goes through its printing process; I don’t care, since the noise lasts for about 30 seconds, at most, and the noise is also a reassurance that the printer is doing what it needs to do.

been using my new printer for 2 weeks & am still learning it’s features, but so far I’m loving the print quality. I hardwired it to my computer & am only using it to print recipes so far. I have learned to leave the printed copies alone as they come out until they dry — about 20 seconds. The first few I touched right away & smeared the ink. Completely my fault & part of the learning curve of a new product. Be sure to order a new ink cartridge right away as intro cartridges that come with any new printer aren’t completely full. I’ve already used half of the black & Amazon says a new cartridge is taking over a month to get shipped. So be forewarned, have a backup ink cartridge in the queue, both if you print a lot of color.

in art?. The quality is a little fuzzy and i can’t change the DPI on mobile which is a bummer since that’s literally a feature, being compatible on mobile devices, but also dark skin comes out very poorly. I had to bump up the saturation and change a characters skin to a bright purple for the printer to print her skin properly

aper jam. This printer worked as you’d expect it to, but the scanning was a little slower than I’d like. One day several pages got stuck at once. I hope I didn’t confuse the thing by having thicker colored paper included in the paper tray, but it’s so bad that this printer isn’t usable anymore probably unless I take it completely apart. Currently shopping for a different printer now.

I purchased this for my 76 year old step mom.Since I Purchased it I have only had to help her with it once because, I want the one who installed it and they didn’t remove her old one so it was defaulting to it.I live an hour and a half away and oh see her once a month so it’s nice she hasn’t had any issues with it. 😊

had good luck with Canon printers. When connected to my laptop via a printer cable it works very well and print quality looks good.I have not been able to get it to work wireless that would be nice to get working for when I am using another laptop or not at my desk . I just haven’t had time to dig into troubleshooting or call support.Maybe it’s me but I also did not find the paper trays very intuitive.I work from home and the primary use is occasional document printing. I did use it to print a photo and it actually looks pretty good once I put the paper in the tray facing the correct way.Overall this will do nicely fir the intended purpose. Please note my ratings for tech support and tech screen are only because I haven’t really used them yet. I’m not even sure what touch screen refers too since it seems to have the same controls similar to my older orinter

Where to begin. 1st, we have had this model of printer for five years. After thousands of trouble free copies, scans and printing documents my first printer had a massive paper jam which caused me to have to take the machine completely apart. After reassembly the printer heads were not aligned and for the life of me I couldn’t get past this error. After much searching for an affordable printer (original printer cost $40 on sale) and going to my daughter’s house every time I had to print something I came across this deal on Amazon. Only $10 more than originally paid five years ago seemed like a great deal. I had seen the same printer going for up to $120 elsewhere. Plus I already had new ink cartridges for this model and believe me when I say they’re not cheap. 2nd, I read ALL kinds of reviews stating how hard this printer is to hook up to the internet or the instructions weren’t clear or the printer is cheaply made. The list went on and on about avoiding this printer. I used to pay attention to those reviews but as I’ve gotten older and wiser I have come to the conclusion that you can’t always trust those reviews. Some people can’t be satisfied no matter how easy or good something is. I got my new printer today. It took me about ten minutes to set it up including unboxing it. The instructions were straightforward, easy to follow and understand. The printer printed my first of many to come documents without any difficulty and beings I had just put new ink cartridges in the old printer before it broke I now have two each extra ink cartridges. What a great deal. I know from experience that this printer is an exceptional piece of equipment and look forward to many years of printing, scanning and copying. I read a review that said this printer doesn’t scan and that is wrong. This printer, the PIXMA MG3620 does everything a home would need INCLUDING scanning. All done from my smart phone which is exactly what I need and want. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone needing an all in one inkjet printer.

ced am mg 2120 with this mg 6220. The old one got to the point of not feeding paper but it was about 8 years old. This is my first one with Wi-Fi. No problems setting it up and I expect to use it for a long time.

d Copies. Printer worked perfectly. I was able to load over 60 blank sheets in the front and every print feed properly and looked good. You have to load an application, but it was very easy to set up. only drawback is if you want 10 copies, you have to press the copy button 10 times. I would recommend this printer/copier for most home uses.
