I got this 2-pack charger when my iPhone 8 plus stopped charging through the lightening port and I thought that I had to get a newer iPhone since replacing the port was so expensive. I knew those charged wirelessly, so I bought it in preparation for a new phone. Then a friend told me that some of the older iPhones charged wirelessly too, and luckily the 8 plus was one of them. Still, the description said that you had to have a MagSafe case for it to work with older iPhones and mine was not — it was a thin Speck case. I figured that I’d wait until the charger came and if it didn’t work, return it and get one that was designed for older iPhones. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that it DOES charge wirelessly through the Speck case. You have to make sure that you have it lined up at the right area of the back of the phone since it won’t get magnetically attracted to the right place like it does on a MagSafe case (which usually have magnets to get it to attract in the right place), but it works and I swear that it charges faster than my lightening cable used to. Keep in mind that my case was a thinner type case (I suppose), I’m guessing if you have a very thick case (eg., Otterbox?) it might not work for that. One thing that I’ve found is (for charging older iPhones at least) is WHAT you place the charger on is important since it has to dissipate heat while it charges. If it’s on something that traps heat somewhat (eg, a fabric placemat, etc) it might heat up and then the iPhone itself will say that it is stopping charging until the iPhone cools down. But if you have it on a “normal” surface (eg, hard countertop, wood table, etc) there is enough air circulation for the charger to continue to completion. The iPhone will be warm (and so will the charger) but not dangerously so.I also had the occasion to use this charger on my wife’s newer iPhone 13, which this charger is specifically designed for. It snapped strongly to the back of the phone and charged fine. I didn’t check the rate of charge, but I assume that it charges the newer phones faster than the older ones due to an upgraded charging mechanism that is supported in the newer iPhone models. The chargers themselves look nice – plain white, non-intrusive, they could fit in anywhere without standing out much. And if you have a MagSafe case or you’re using an iPhone without a case, they’d snap right onto the magnets easily. It’s only if you have a non-MagSafe thin case like mine that you might have to line up the phone properly until you see the charge symbol turn on your phone display.I got this 2-pack when it was on sale, it was definitely worth the price then. I see that the price has increased now — if it’s in your price range, it’s definitely a solid model (I’ve been using it for over an month now). But if you’re thrifty, check periodically and maybe the price will come down substantially. If so, snap them up! I’m thinking of getting another pack of them when they come down in price again.

I was looking for a backup charger for my iPhone 14, and I found this off brand magsafe charger. It was a great value, since it came as a 2 pack for less than 20 bucks. The charger works well, it attaches to the phone magnetically and charges it without any problems. However, I was very disappointed by the charging speed and the compatibility. It is supposed to be a 15w fast charger, but it feels like it takes forever to charge my phone. It is much slower than the original magsafe charger from Apple, which is very noticeable. It also doesn’t work with my usb c power adapter (despite having the adapter for it), which is designed for fast charging. It only works with the old usb a power adapters that I have from different devices. This is very inconvenient, since I wanted it to work with all kinds of adapters. I would give this product 4 stars out of 5, because it charges my phone reliably, but it is slow and not compatible with usb c power adapters.

Before I get to the good stuff, I want you to know that I was using this magsafe charger to charge my Galaxy S20 5G. Yes, that is right. It is an android and not the iPhone that many are able to use with magsafe chargers. I bought the case from another site. The charger upon initial inspection shows the circular section that sits on the back of your phone. It has a strong magnetic feel and won’t fall off and it is strong enough to hold my phone on it. I can jiggle and swing it around which means it is strong enough to stay on. The section in the center feels soft and prevents the charger from scratching up your phone or case. The design was able to work well with the wireless charging capabilities of my case. I tried to hold the charger close to my phone and not on it to see how far away it can charge. I believe it to be around 1/4 inch (5mm) for it to hold the charge. What I love about the charger is that I can hold my phone in my hand and not have the cable in the way when holding it in landscape or portrait mode. You can turn the cable around in any direction. Pretty much 360 degrees. Great for anyone who want to attach anything into the port(s) while still charging at the same time. The usb end is another fave of mine as it has 2 connections built into it. It has the USB-C end and you can connect that end into the adapter for USB-C to USB. It can be removed easily and without any issues. When plugging into the adapter, you can feel that it’s of good quality and has a nice clicking sound that its situated in it’s port.Charging the device is decent and it is best to use with a charger with quick charge capabilities. Since my phone is older, the screenshots can give you an idea of the charging rate of the device.I love that it was a 2 pack so that I can have one at my desk and one at my bed for when I go to sleep. There are no issues with charging with the device but it is advised not to use it mainly when you use apps that use more power than what is necessary versus an actual usb charger to your charging port. It is meant to be used for normal use and not for extensive use that drains the battery. If you are not on it all the time and have it to use here and there, then that’s fine. I tend to grab my phone and not have to worry about it not losing a charge.I forgot to mention and this just came out as a thought. If you somehow detach the charger by accident in the scenario of an actual charger to charging port, this would save your phone and a charging port from having the chance of snapping a charger and damaging your phone. I have had many phones both android and iPhone since the Samsung Intercept and iPhone 4. I had to sometimes worry about breaking a usb cable in the ports and damaging my phone. I only had one phone with the usb port snapping and breaking both the cable and my port. Thus rendering my phone unable to charge unless I held another charger in the port by hand to find the sweet spot to get a charge. Motorola E (2nd Generation) was the phone that met its demise.Other than that, I would highly recommend getting your hands on a set like this. Either have it for yourself or share it with another person. You will love this alot. I sure am.

this charger. The larger size is nice and a two pack was great so I could keep one in my car.

these as my younger kids have ripped so many of the traditional plug in apple charges. Love the fact that when the mag charger is connected it’s connected and doesn’t slip off when kids tug on one end . No worries about cord being bent . Might be ordering more to leave at work

I used it for a few weeks now and it works good. The magnet doesn’t stick because it falls off my phone but for the portable charging where you just lay down your phone and pick it up, it works well.

as a plus. I litrally recieved the product in the middle of the winter storm 2 days after ordering.I tested it it works. It holds my heavy phone with no stress of falling. Super strong. 10 mins on the charger went from 72% to 80% on my new iPhone 14 pro maxI’m new to iPhone so I don’t know how fast it takes for fill up. But it’s definitely a nice one to have as in extra. It’s easy to use. A little usp connecter included for each of the chargers.

he house. While they do work in the car, they’re much better in the house. They’re good quality chargers, it seems they just do better when they have a bigger power behind them. They do heat up some, I’ve had them being my phone to being too hot to use once in the car, to be fair though I did have my heat in the car on.

ese years, I have bought a number of lightning cables (each cost me around $10), but all of them won’t last long. This wireless charging cable is a solution I am trying. It can charge with the iphone protective case. So far it works well. Just have used it for about one week and may update later.

d a wireless charger for my new phone and saw this 2-pack. It was a great find! Having an extra charger means I can charge both in the office and at home. And, since it comes with a USB C to B adapter, I can use it on my new computer with USB-c ports as well as my older computer with the older USB-B ports!
