It fits no bookshelf I own, but it’s useful and pretty enough to sit out for display and or reference. Haven’t fact checked much of it yet but it does seem to be carefully researched. Most of all the illustrations are strikingly detailed,love it!

This is not a book that will enable anyone to restart civilization after a catastrophe but instead gives a basic explanation of how things work using creative hand drawn images that are somewhat steam punk in style. It is very well done and makes for entertaining as well as informative reading. Good for the coffee table and for kids to read. The large hard copy version I purchased is worth the money I paid, just do not expect a detailed description of each subject it covers.

Everything you have seen or heard about this book doesn’t do it justice. It’s so much bigger than you think it is. The paper quality is above and beyond exceptional. The illustrations are fantastic and the beautiful way that the water colors bring the images to life is spectacular. Absolutely everything that a person could ever need to know is in this book. It’s not the most detail in depth explanation of what you need but it is enough of a base that any person with little to no knowledge or comprehension, could survive well if they only had this in their possession.One of the greatest purchases I have ever made.

This book is so satisfying for my autistic mind. I love the way the book smells!! The cover is sparkly and smooth like velvet. The material inside is so amazing, such a great assembly of fun, useful facts and ideas. The drawings are really beautiful. The texture of the paper of each page feels so nice. The words a bit small, but understandably so, they fit a lot of content into each page. It’s a lot of information that one can find online if they looked it up, but the way this book presented everything is just an exceptionally tantalizing sensory and mental experience.

I highly recommend getting the book and I highly recommend getting it off Amazon it’s the exact same book you see on Instagram. The illustrations are beautiful. This reminds me verily about David Macaulay’s books from the 70s and 80s, which I enjoyed thoroughly. It’s high quality. Its oversized, like they were, art on every single page, succinct text, varied content. What a delight. I’ll take one off only because I was terrified to set this down on any surface. It needs a dust jacket, so so badly. The cloth boards are exquisite, but they’d clearly stain/soak easily. This isn’t just some tik tok gimmick. It’s really something. Great job.
