    I have been using Smart Ink cartridges for my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 for the past year. I have been really pleased with the quality of the ink and how long the cartridges last compared to HP. Recently I changed one of the color cartridges and my printer rejected the new Smart Ink cartridge as “non HP” and locked up. There must have been a HP software update on my printer; I have since set my printer maintenance to “do not check” following the recommendation of Smart Ink customer service via online chat. After trying a few possible fixes unsuccessfully and then understanding that I use a Mac computer instead of Windows, customer service shipped a new box of cartridges containing a new chip to me overnight without any charge. The new chip works like a charm. I am happily printing again and the color prints are great quality as usual! There was prompt follow up to make sure that I had received the replacement set of cartridges and to ensure that the new set works. Smart Ink customer service is exceptional – efficient, patient and so helpful.

    I’ve been ordering ink cartridges from this company for years and the ink works great. (I have an HP printer from about 2014.) I don’t notice a difference between this and the HP branded ink. If I was going to print something that needed to be high end to distribute , I wouldn’t print it on an inkjet printer anyway – for my at home needs this ink is excellent and the price is right.Excellent customer service + problem resolved quickly:My most recent order of cartridges were not readable by my printer and wouldn’t work at all. Customer service tried to help me troubleshoot them, and when that solution was not great for me, they sent me a new batch which arrived in 2 days at no cost. The “troubleshooting” only took a few minutes of my time – they didn’t make me jump through hoops – it was easy and I’ll continue to buy from them for sure.

    The product would not work with my printer. The first shipment was installed and the printer read that it did not recognize the product. I contacted the company and they sent a replacement. The new cartridges were installed. They all worked except the blue cartridge. The printer stated that there was a damaged or missing cartridge. Printed a sample page with blue in it. The quality was definitely affected.

    I bought the XL902 ink 4-pack for my HP printer and this is what occurred. Once I installed the cartridges, the printer didn’t recognize them and the printer didn’t work. I called the phone number provided in the package, a live representative answered the phone, and I explained the situation. The customer care representative tried to help me, but I still couldn’t fix the problem, technical issues. She promptly explained what I had to do in order to obtain new cartridges for the printer and sent them using a NEXT DAY DELIVERY!! Once I received the new ink, I installed them in the printer, and it WORKED!Thank you Alice for all of your help and for finding a prompt solution to my problem. I will certainly be buying from Smart Ink Cartridges again!

    I have to admit, the original package I received had a black ink cartridge that was defective. All the other cartridges worked fine, it was just the black one.I scanned the QR code on the ink cartridge and called the customer service line. One of the representatives walked me through the steps to troubleshoot my printer, to see if that was the issue. When we realized it wasn’t, they went ahead and overnighted me a whole new package of ink cartridges.Within 12 hours from that call, I had a brand new set of ink cartridges. All of them working perfectly, now!Having faulty ink cartridges is not uncommon for any company. So I appreciate how quickly I was able to get a representative to answer the phone, how knowledgeable they were, and how willing they were to overnight me a set of replacement cartridges.I would definitely buy from them again.

    I’ve purchased Smart Ink in the past, and had no issues with them. This time my printer did not want to print in black or blue. The magenta and yellow were absolutely perfect, but the black and blue just would not print.So, I went to the website and tried all of the tips they had for this issue. Unfortunately, I was still having problems. I reached out to customer service for help and they gave me some more things to try. After trying those, those two inks still wouldn’t print. Customer service immediately replaced my cartridges, and checked in to see if they solved the problem. Excellent experience.

    I purchased two sets of this ink last year and the first set worked fine. When it ran it recently, I went to use the new ink and ran into an issue with my printer not accepting it. I contacted their support on a Sunday via chat, and they responded immediately and gave me instructions on how to resolve. Unfortunately I ran into a snag with the instructions and they overnighted me a new set of ink overnight which worked perfectly. I can’t recommend this company enough!

    I called customer service because my printer would not allow me to use the ink I purchased. HP computer said ink was not compatible. Alyssa gave me the information I needed to update my printer and it’s working perfectly. HP is expensive and Smart Ink is affordable and works perfectly. I have used Smart Ink for 2 years and will continue to use them.

    Bought these reasonably priced replacement cartridges as I was tired of paying HP the ludicrous prices. The color cartridges worked great! I didn’t need the black cartridge until a few months later and unfortunately it triggered an error message on the printer. The I instructions to bypass the HP software update didn’t work either but customer service via email was super helpful and after sending them some verification data they are sending a whole new set of cartridges! I am assuming they will work, but if not, and if not resolvable I will update this post. Very impressed at their response time!

    I had an issue with chip compatibility and since I have a mac, I wasn’t able to fix the issue. I reached out to their customer service chat on the website and got someone right away (on a Saturday!) they immediately overnighted me a set of new cartridges that are chip compatible. I am very impressed with this company!Update – the new cartridges arrived 24 hours later and work perfectly!

    100% buy these ink cartridges instead of HP’s ripoff ones. Ink quality is great. Make sure you follow their directions and disable automatic firmware updates for your printer. The item description says they update their chips on the first Monday of every month. My firmware was a little over 2 months old and the cartridges worked without issue on first try.

    My HP printer blocked my print cartridges that I have been using. I messaged Smart Ink through FB on Sunday afternoon. I showed them a picture of the error I received and my Amazon order number which was from 2023. They weren’t able to “fix” the problem because I have a Mac, so instead she shipped me out a brand new box of ink that arrived THE NEXT FREAKING DAY! Absolutely amazing. I installed the cartridges and it works like there was never an issue! 100% recommend this company! Inexpensive HP ink that works great and lasts forever.

    I have bought these twice now. The first time I had no problems. The most recent time, I did have to get on with support and got excellent help from Alice. The ink is working for me now. It does take a little time to troubleshoot, but worth it for the price in my opinion.

    I’ve been using Smart Ink for years and have been very happy with the product. However HP forced a software update and they no longer worked. I beat my head up against the wall with HP. Got a ridiculous run around for days and none of their “work arounds” worked. Finally reached out to Smart Ink customer support and Alice was great. She’s shipping me out replacement cartridges for my on hand stock. Highly recommend. (had to google their direct website as I could not locate their contact info on Amazon)

    The packaging and instructions are five star. After installation, though, I started getting 0x6100002a errors. Customer support has been excellent to help resolve the issue. However, as this error has recurred multiple times, I’m less confident that I won’t be having a long term problem. I can’t say for sure it was the new cartridges, but I never had the error until the new installations.

    I tried a different, slightly cheaper, ink before this one and my HP printer would not recognize the chip and stopped the ink from being used. BUT Smart Ink chips won’t do that. I did have an issue where the black and yellow were recognized but would not come out on the page. I did all the trouble shooting with Customer Support but they would not work. Alyssa with Smart Ink was kind and patient in helping me resolve my issue. When we realized the two cartridges just would not work, she offered to immediately replace them. I won’t be buying my HP ink from anyone else at this point! Thanks Smart Ink!-One Happy Customer

    After I received our new ink cartridges I was having problems with the HP printer copier. Seems they have firmware that blocks the use of aftermarket ink cartridges. I contacted customer service and they quickly provided superb customer service and I was up and running in no time. Thank you!

    I have a HP6978. If you get an error message about a ‘chip’ call customer service. They send a set with the chips at once. My reason for a 4 star instead of a 5 is the instructions on the inside lid of the box don’t match up with the screen on my printer. However they work beautifully and their customer service was right on top of it.

    I was tired of paying exorbitant prices for ink toner for my printer. So I took the plunge with a small company, Smart Ink. Everything they claim has been true and I have been very satisfied with their ink and their customer service.Today I installed the black cartridge and my printer told me it did not recognize the chip in my toner cart. I emailed the company, within 5 mins they emailed me back and asked a few questions. Before long they sent me the instructions to solve the problem.The print quality has been excellent, the customer service also. I have been completely satisfied.

    Needed assistance in fixing the “Non-HP Chip Detected” message on my printer after installing SmartInk cartridges…. Went to smartink.pro for chat link…. Alexa was able to provide a link to instructions to download the old driver and disable the HP firmware that blocked the use of SmartInk cartridges…. The whole process took 15 minutes or less, and I was up and running (while she waited patiently in the chat channel to make sure everything worked)…. AND IT DID!!

    These are fine ink cartridges. This is my third time ordering them for my HP OfficeJet printer. The new HP firmware detects and blocks these non-HP cartridges, but with the help of Alice in Smart ink support I was able to overcome this and now the cartridges work fine.

    I had purchased ink in anticipation of almost being out in February. I just now ran out. The replacement cartridges were purchased from Smart Ink. When I installed the new ink my printer would not allow me to print with it stating that because they are non-hp the firmware has blocked it. Upon sending in an email with pictures and going through the trouble shooting steps to try to resolve the issue the customer service reps immediately sent me out new cartridges. I gave a 4 star rating because my printer still says it cannot guarantee non-hp cartridges, but the the new cartridges work exactly as they should and the print quality was perfect. Customer service is exactly as it should be over the top! Thank you!

    This ink has worked well for me and is worth the savings! I’ve been using it for about 8 months. It prints bolder than I’m used to, so I’ve had to tone down use of bold fonts and lines. I had some trouble getting my printer to accept the “non-HP” ink, but with some persistence and wonderful help from SmartInk’s online “live chat” I succeeded! The problem seems to be with HP doing their best to keep us from using anything but HP ink, but I’ve managed the work around and am using great ink for a better price!

    I’ve been using Smart Ink printer cartridges for years without issue or complaints. Today I put a new set in and for the first time one of the cartridges didn’t work. I contacted their customer service directly for a chat. I was treated wonderfully, with courtesy and respect. Kevin sent me a complete set, express mail, free of charge without requiring me to send back the other set with the one bad cartridge. He was intent on providing a solution that inconvenienced me as little as possible. I am a very happy customer!

    So, I bought these cartridges for my HP Officejet Pro 6975 and when I installed them, the printing was GLORIOUS…..until the cyan(blue for those who don’t know) decided to crap the bed. It wasn’t that the cyan cartridge didn’t have ink, far from it. It just wouldn’t print. Let me be clear: Everything else was phenomenal, crisp colors, ease of install, and easy level checking. The cyan cartridge wasn’t having any, and then we get to their customer service.The customer service is by and far head, shoulders and dang near the entire body over any other company! I told them my issues, they had me downgrade the firmware on my printer(and trust me you need to do this with HP, those monopolizing gits!), and gave clear and concise directions on how to troubleshoot my problems. Even through e-mail, they were fast and awesome at their jobs. Sometimes we had the same ideas, but they were patient and when we tried everything we could to resurrect my current set of printer cartridges, especially the blue one, they finally said they would send another set, free of charge to me. I can’t think of ONE other company that does that these days! HP sure as heck wouldn’t, they would just charge you for another set of cartridges.Other than my wonky cyan cartridge, when the new set runs out, I will be buying more replacement ink from Smart ink again. Worth every penny, especially today…..

So overall, since the company really does want their customers to be satisfied, I’m pleased with the product which is working just fine now and will purchase from them again.

    Bought cartridges for my HP printer a few months ago. Installed the yellow and black cartridges and they worked fine. Two days ago I tried to install the cyan and magenta and got the dreaded ‘the installed cartridges are not HP so they have been blocked’ message. I thought I was out of luck. So I looked online and found SmartInk’s website. I started a chat with one of their agents. Very patiently they walked me through the steps to correct things but I was out of luck again as I only use Mac computers and the software over-ride only works using a Windows computer. HOWEVER, the agent after spending so much time with me said no problem, I’ll send you a new set of cartridges. So yesterday they came from Amazon and I was back in business. The issue was HP continuously updates their firmware to block the ‘evil’ cartridges made by other companies. So you have to turn off auto-updates on your printer to avoid that problem happening again.Next time around I may not buy a HP printer, but I Will buy from SmartInk as they stand behind their products.

    Red, yellow and blue worked fine with my HP 6978 but black just wouldn’t come up. I purchased these in December 2023 and just today needed to swap out the old HP ink with the new Smart Ink. Alice at Smart Ink helped with testing and ended up sending via 1-2 day delivery new black cartridges to replace the original purchase. Can’t say enough about customer service and covering the quick shipment to get me back up and running. This is my new go to for ink cartridges, no more high priced HP products. Thank you Alice!Update – black cartridge arrived in 1 day, installed and printer is working just fine. Thank you again Smart Ink/Alice and looking forward to ordering again.

    First off let me say the serve was almost 5 stars. The delivery of items was timely. I received two sets of toners. The service provided by representatives was filled with courtesy and they were pleasant to work with.The only limiting factor I can mention, dealt with the first set of toner. That particular set did not function as described even after following the troubleshooting instructions provided. Additionally, I contacted Smartlink to assist in troubleshooting, which they responded to quickly and attempted to verbally remedy the problem via text with no success. At no additional cost they sent me a second set of toner which functioned trouble-free.Overall, the experience was fine and would recommend this company to others.V/r Ricky

    I have used Smart Ink for many months and am extremely pleased with their products and service. When I recently tried to install replacement Smart Ink cartridges in my printer they wouldn’t work. My printer company, HP, had automatically installed updates that wouldn’t allow printing with any ink other than their own, and I had a major project I needed to print the next day. Smart Ink came to the rescue, had a solution to my problem, sent me different cartridges, OVERNIGHT, that had been modified so I could use them. They are definitely customer and service oriented, providing well priced quality ink, and skilled, knowledgeable representatives that care. OUTSTANDING!

    The ink product is good and the customer service is great. When my cartridges wouldn’t work because of a software update, they walked me through a fix and then when that didn’t work expressed me a new set of ink that would specifically rectify the problem on my printer. Unfortunately, they need to have great customer service as they are constantly battling the printer companies who do everything they can to push you into using their proprietary (and much more expensive) ink. Turn off software updates on your printer if you are going to use SmartInk and you will have no problems.

    They helped get my HP 6970 firmware back to where I could use non-HP cartridges. I have no idea why HP thinks I rented the printer from them versus buying it. They make it so hard to keep the auto-updates from happening. These cartridges are so much cheaper than HP, and work just as well. I don’t want to buy a new printer every time I need new cartridges, which is almost how HP charges for their “new” cartridges.
