Compatible with brother printer/fax machine. Ink is good quality, performance wise it lasts pretty long definitely getting my moneys worth. Color is black ink that I mostly buy at the moment this is not my first time buying from this brand. Easy to open and install. You can also box up your used one and recycle it back.

Yes, these cartridges and toners are about twice the price of the imitations out there, some of which may work . . . or not. Considering the price difference against the huge number of printed pages each one will flawlessly produce makes the decision easy. Aftermarket printer supplies also rarely speak to the software that lets you trouble-shoot, check condition, and properly set up the new supplies. I’ve had them spill ink and toner powder and do all sort of nasty things that all of a sudden make the price of the Real Thing a bargain. I’ve NEVER (over the last 40 years) had an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) printer cartridge cause a problem. Also, a lot of the cheap imitations use inferior quality ink, too. It just isn’t worth the hassle to save a few dollars, especially for something that lasts as long as printer consumables do.
