I received my travel kit this week. Delivery was a day late but not really a big concern. Online, the product looked much nicer than it is in person. My reason for ordering it was it looked nice and seemed like it would be functional for travel. I am not saying anything negative about the bag but it just does not seem as nice as it appeared online.It seems to fold up nicely and there are of various pockets on it. It has a hanger which allow you to hang it up in the bathroom or on a door knob. There are no clear compartments so it is matter of deciding where you want something to go and looking for it. From that standpoint it is like other bags but with four pockets it is hard for me to organize. With a traditional bag you can just open it and see everything.The outside leather if fine and it seems to be well made. The interior is a sort of canvas that I was not expecting for a high end bag. It almost feels like I am going through a my garage to get my toiletries.Lots of glitz but it really was not what I expected. With plastic, you at least know what you are getting.

I haven’t had a chance to test it on the road yet, but so far it’s as good a Dopp Kit as I can imagine anyone ever finding at this price point. For those of you worried that it might have a plastic, fake leather feel to it, like many PU leather goods, stop worrying. While true leather aficionados may not be fully satisfied, most of you will probably, instead, think that this bag is worth twice as much as its actual price. It really is quite nice.Color wise, it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. It’s less of a rich cordovan and more of a nice, light camel shade. I don’t know what it looks like on your monitor. :)Capacity wise, it’s perfect for me. I tend to use travel sized goods in my Dopp Kits, always packed and ready to go. So for me it closes just as easily and flat as it did when it was empty (and this is after stuffing it full of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, toothbrush and paste, mouthwash, floss, cologne, a comb, q-tips, a nail trimmer and a beard trimmer and probably another thing or two that I’ve simply forgotten).I don’t know if this was on purpose, but the positioning of the top pocket allows the contents to sink to just the right spot when folding, so that it folds in b/w the contents of the other pockets, thus conserving space. (Side note: this does, as others have pointed out, mean that contents sit horizontally in their pockets until you position them upright after arriving wherever you’re going and then hanging the bag. Didn’t bother me, but may bother some.)All in all, it’s one of my favorite purchases so far on Amazon.

I could have bought plenty of other toiletry cases for less money but I decided to splurge a little bit and buy this one, and I’m so happy I did. It holds a TON of stuff (especially if you fill it with travel-sizes). I had enough space for all my toiletries, with enough room left over for some first aid items and even a few small pieces of survival gear.The caramel colored leather that makes up the body of the bag is nice and thick. The same goes for the inside canvas that makes up the pockets. And I love that the zippers are all metal and trimmed with leather. I have a couple vintage pieces of luggage from the 1950’s that have those types of zippers, and while you hardly see them anymore, I love that Vetelli chose to use them on this bag. It’s that attention to small details that make this bag look and feel very classic and luxurious.With that being said, the one negative thing (and I’m nit-picking here) I’d point out is that the chocolate brown straps and handle, and the dark brown/black piping seem to be made of a synthetic/fake leather type material. I don’t believe this will affect the durability of the item, but I mention it because I was under the assumption that all parts were genuine leather. I would gladly pay more for this if at least the straps were made out of real leather.Bottom Line:This is a stunning piece and worth every penny. Looks much more expensive than it’s price. It’s one of those items that anybody could use, so it would make a great gift for someone who’s hard to buy for (male or female). If taken care of I could easily see this as something that can be passed down to a loved one one day and cherished. Highly recommend.
