Easy to apply with lite misting and results were decent. Can’t comment on longevity yet. The bottle I received leaked from the cap while spraying, that was annoying. Still though, good shine results. Nice and smooth finish to the touch. Water beads off very well on painted and glass surfaces. I’ll try this product on my other car and see how it preforms.

Well reviewed. One internet site compared to other brands including actual ceramic coating. Could not get the stuff off the metal. Goes on easy, like anyother spray wax. Durable after 2 coatings. Even snow slid off the hood. Bugs splatter are not permanent and comes off with a little elbow grease. Has good shine and slickness. Hybrid ceramic coating that is inexpensive and easy to apply. Note it is ceramic coating.

Excellent, and I’ve tried many! Easy to apply, and really brings out the deep color. I carry some with me at all times, but I am fussy! Its a bit pricey, but for best result, used sparinly it goes a long way. Fasteddie

Applied to 2 vehicles after clay bar treatment. Went on easy and looked great with good gloss and water repelling. Roughly 4 months later in typical southeastern US summer weather and there is zero sign of protection remaining on either vehicle.Bottom line is that it looks great, you just have to reapply it regularly which kinda defeats the purpose of a “ceramic”. Might hold up better if the vehicle is kept in a garage or similar cover. It is easier to apply than a paste wax so there is that.

This is the easiest spray on detainer I have ever used and it gives the best results. It leaves a remarkable shine and smoothness. Water beads like it’s on a freshly painted surface. My truck spends nights in a garage. I re-coat it about every eight weeks.

I’ve used multiple detailing products over the years, always on the hunt to see if I can find something better. I stumbled upon this ceramic spray coating after watching a Project Farm video, and this might be the best detailing product I have ever used.I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. I’ve used this on just about everything I own. My Corvette is relatively new with only 5,000 miles on it, so the paint was already in great condition and free of contamination. Application was easy and straightforward, spray on and wipe off. Use a small amount of product, less is more. The shine and slickness is unbelievable. My truck sits outside pretty much 24/7. Paint is full of contamination and I didn’t clay bar and remove it as I should (directions state to start with a very clean surface.) I’m not trying to win any beauty contests with my truck, so I gave it a good wash and applied this product. Again, the pictures will speak for themselves. After a few rains and several mornings of morning dew, the surface is still spotless and slick. You’ll find that dirt, dust etc won’t stick to the paint as easily and obviously water will run right off. This is the most my truck has ever shined. I haven’t washed it since application and have taken it on a few long trips, this is how the surface presents. And finally, this works on boats too! I couldn’t find anything that said this can be used on gelcoat, but I’ve used spray ceramic coatings on gelcoat in the past and it works great. My boat is kept inside and I keep the surface very clean, so application was easy. Spray on, wipe off, repeat. Again, less is more or you can end up with streaking and high spots. As you can see, the shine is nothing short of impressive. I’ve had it in the water a couple of times since application and it is still holding up, although being that part of the surface glides through water at 60+mph, it won’t last as long as on a vehicle. At the price of this product, I’ll happily reapply multiple times per year if needed.I hit both of my jetskis with this too (not pictured) and also got great results. Mind you, this is all with ONE bottle, and I still have some left. This stuff goes far. Will probably hit my 4 wheelers and side by side painted panels once I have those clean to provide some extra protection. If you’re on the fence, BUY IT! Impressive stuff for a bargain price. I’ll be a customer for life.

I needed something to protect my paint on a hood that I sanded down and rolled on paint. It’s an older Chevy Astro van so no worry about looks as I’m not obsessed with perfection. Anyway, after painting there were some imperfections left from sanded surfaces so I applied three coats of spray solution and believe it or not it sort of filled in valleys and covered up traces of old surface. Amazing that it made my hood look great despite shade tree paint job. I used Rust Oleum brand paint fyi. I also use it on my motorcycles and various objects needing a shine. It’s an all around great product and easy to apply.

Your car will shine so brilliantly, you might start seeing your reflection and question if you really need that mirror at home. They’ve pumped this spray full of synthetic wax polymers, which sounds like something a mad scientist whipped up. Your paint will have that “just off the lot” sparkle, minus the dealer markup. You can achieve all this wizardry by simply spraying it on and buffing it off. No foam applicators, no 2-hour ceremonies. Just a few spritzes, a swipe with a microfiber cloth, and boom—shiny, protected car. You could do this in direct sunlight, while juggling, with one hand tied behind your back. It’s that simple. For those of us who have slaved away with traditional ceramic coatings—using foam applicators and dedicating entire afternoons to the process—this is a godsend. You get 90-95% of the results in 5 minutes flat. Your Miata (or any other car) will be so shiny, you’ll need sunglasses just to look at it.If you’re ready to turn car detailing into a quick, enjoyable chore rather than a marathon, Turtle Wax 53409 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating is your new best friend. It’s like having a cheat code for an insanely shiny, well-protected car.

I bought this Turtle Wax product due to dissatisfaction with a Maguire’s product and inability to find the CMX ceramic spray product I had used in the past. The CMX product was fantastic! Easy to apply and wipe off with very little effort and no streaks! Turtle Wax required much more effort to remove all streaks from the wax application. I took a lot of care to NOT have the car in direct sunlight and still had to apply a lot more elbow grease to get the finish I wanted. I think I may have found a source for CMX and will use that going forward.

Ok, so it isn’t truly a hard core ceramic coating with SiO2 content and it is not going to protect your paint for three years (as other brands might claim). I have tried many many formulations over the years. Carnauba is unmatched for deep shine with dark paint but as a natural extract from a tree, is provides only limited durability and water repellency. I have also used Klasse products and Zaino but the application process is more involved and I would not say that the durability is anything to brag about. Mothers CMX is comparable to this Turtle Wax hybrid solutions spray but does leave some annoying little white beads on the paint; one drive down the road and beads are gone so I would say that it is not a problem. This Turtle Wax formulation is pretty impressive. I own four cars ranging from 2011-2023. They are fairly new and so they have modern clear coat paints. For 90% of applications, I would say that this spray will work well. If you work in the shade and wipe it off after a quick flash, it is very easy to use. I apply it every 6-8 months because it usually wears off but the durability is pretty impressive. Protection against bird droppings and acid rain is excellent. I apply it to glass and it leaves none of the white residue associated with other brands. It wipes off dark plastic trim without smears. Super glossy finish on painted surfaces. Easy to use. Very long lasting. Inexpensive. In 2024, it is hard to match for price and value. 5-stars!

Turtle Wax Hybrid Spray stands out as a versatile and efficient car care product that combines ease of use with impressive results. Its hybrid formula blends synthetic and natural ingredients to provide a durable, high-gloss finish that rivals professional detailing. One of the most notable features of this spray is its user-friendly application process; simply spray it onto a clean car surface and wipe it off for an instant shine. The product effectively repels water and resists dirt, helping to maintain the vehicle’s pristine appearance for longer periods. The spray also offers UV protection, which is a crucial benefit for preserving the car’s paint against the damaging effects of the sun. Moreover, Turtle Wax Hybrid Spray is lauded for its cost-effectiveness and long-lasting performance. A single application can last several weeks, making it a great value for car owners who want to keep their vehicles looking showroom-new without frequent reapplications. Users appreciate the streak-free finish and the smooth, slick feel it leaves behind. Additionally, the pleasant scent enhances the overall detailing experience. However, some users have noted that achieving the best results may require some practice to avoid potential smearing, particularly in humid conditions. Additionally, the product can be challenging to remove if too much is applied or if it is left on for too long before wiping off (minus 1 star). Despite this minor drawback, Turtle Wax Hybrid Spray remains a highly recommended product for both car enthusiasts and casual users alike, offering professional-quality results in a convenient, at-home solution.

This is my favorite product to use on my car. It leaves it looking so shiny, feeling very slick to the touch, and even smelling good. Out of all the car coating products I’ve used over the years, this one is my favorite. It’s easy to apply, lasts decently long, and again, leaves my car looking, smelling, and feeling amazing.Remember to use one microfiber for application and one for buffing and to shake the bottle before applying!

Since I moved to an apartment I don’t have use of a hose and I wanted to do an easy “ceramic” polish. This is very easy – get your car washed and dried and then spray on and wipe off. Did my Acura MDX in less than 45 minutes. I can’t tell how long it will last, but the surface is very slippery and the car looks great. I can now feel a few little stuff in the paint on the hood, so next time I will clay bar the hood first.

Long time vehicle detailer and someone who works hard to keep my stuff nice. This product is very easy to apply and long-lasting…good shine and water deflection. I use it annually on all my newer rigs. You will need a clean surface, so older rigs will need a clay bar or buff prep beforehand. YouTube Project Farm (sensational reviews for all mech stuff, rated it #1). I agree!

This product will definitely make your car looks like new again. Here is how to use this ceramic spray if you want to avoid streaking. After a good wash and dry of your car, apply a thin layer of the product on the car’s body, but without saturating the panel you’re cleaning though. Use one cloth for buffing the product on the panel, and one dry fiber-cloth to do the finishing touch. Also, go panel by panel, instead of trying to spray the whole car at once. Also, even if the bottle state that it’s safe to use it under the sun as well, chemicals will dry quickly with heat, so it’s always advised to use those products in the shadow, or after the sunset.

Like any coating, make sure your paint is absolutely clean and free of dirt, oils or oxidation. My small Miata was a perfect test subject. I went through my normal clay treat procedure using a clay pad and a container of detailing spray as a lubricant. The clay treat/detail fluid can leave a slight residue so I always do a final wipe down with a microfiber towel slightly dampened with distilled water, then a dry towel. The prep was the hard part. Applying the coating was a breeze.Make sure you shake this stuff real good before and during the application process. That’s really important. Also, I read reviews stating people had problems with coating spray on the windshield. I usually throw a towel over the window before using any spray applications to eliminate such problems. The other advice would be to work in small areas. There is a tendency to overspray with too much coating when you hit big areas. The applicator towel becomes too saturated and it takes so long to wipe the area that the coating starts to evaporate, leading to streaks. Also, in tight or contoured areas, it’s easier to spray the fluid onto the applicator towel than it is to spray directly onto the car. But the application goes fast with very little effort. The result: First, let me state that I have babied my Miata for 28 years, therefore, it always looks great after a waxing. But I have noticed that some conventional wax can discolor and can cause the car to slightly milky. Not this stuff. The car looks showroom new after a 2 coat application about six months ago. And surprisingly, the attached photo was taken without the car even being washed for over a week. Nothing seems to want to stick to this protective coating. The big test will be to see how it takes the spring treatment and how it survives the harsh Arizona summer sun and heat.

I recently tried the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating, and it’s been a game changer for my car care routine. Here’s my take:Shine and Protection: The product lives up to its promise of delivering an incredible shine. My car looks like it just left the showroom, with a glossy finish that really stands out. The ceramic coating also offers a great layer of protection, repelling water and dirt effectively.Ease of Use: One of the best parts about this spray is how easy it is to apply. Just a few sprays, a gentle wipe with a microfiber cloth, and you’re done. It’s a quick way to achieve professional-looking results without much effort.Durability: I’ve noticed that the coating lasts quite long. It’s been a few weeks and the shine is still as intense, and water still beads up and rolls off the surface. This longevity means I don’t have to reapply too often, which is a huge plus.Value for Money: Considering the quality and the amount of product you get, it’s well-priced. You don’t need to use a lot each time, so one bottle goes a long way.Overall Experience: The Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating has exceeded my expectations. It not only makes my car look stunning but also adds a protective layer that lasts. For anyone looking to enhance their vehicle’s appearance with minimal effort, this product is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for its impressive shine, protection, and ease of use!

I’ve used this on my new 2023 Cougar RV and seems to help keep the bugs from sticking, plus it really shines bright. I applied 3 coats to the fiberglass cap.I’ve also used this on my Duramax,Challenger( new paint) and Honda seems to shine and seal the paint well as far as how long the seal and shine will last the verdict is still out. But I do know it’s soooo much easier then waxing any of these.Give it a try!

I have applied two coats of this to my black vehicle now, and it was pretty easy to apply, per the instructions. I had some issues with certain spots streaking and not wanting to buff in, but it is possible I over applied. Time will tell if this product can actually hold up for 12 months, but if not, the cost is practical enough for plenty of re-applications.

I just wanted a product that I could put on my recently purchased 2021 XT4.I didn’t go through all the steps. I’m not looking for the perfect finish so I just did a quick wash and then put on one coat.A couple days later had drove to work in a bad storm, came out at the end of the day. Expecting to see a dirty car but it was still spotless. I couldn’t believe it! Not even water spots, the pictures show the car a few days later. I haven’t done anything since I applied the product. Still looking clean and shiny.Highly recommend.

I’ve been taking care of my own vehicles for 50 years. My first vehicle was a Jeep and I literally waxed the paint right off of it. I’ve spent countless hours polishing or waxing my vehicles. I happened upon a video testing several of the main new ‘space age’ ceramic coatings. Turtle Wax tested best. So I purchased a bottle. I washed my truck and made sure it was dry. Following Turtle Wax directions I sprayed a small amount and spread with a microfiber towel. The ceramic coating goes on clear and spreads like water in an even coat. I really didn’t believe what I was seeing. No waiting for product to dry. No buffing required. It took me no more than 15 minutes to complete a Toyota Tundra, a big truck. Directions say apply two coasts for a 12 month protection so here I go with a second coat. My truck is 15 years old and its paint feels like GLASS! I didn’t expect such an awesome finish. And how could it be so easy?!? It’s only been about 2 months so I can’t say if it will last a year but even if it doesn’t, given how easy it is to apply I will not complain about doing it again. Buy this stuff, it’s worth it.

Product is as described, easy to apply with superb shine. After applying a second coat at the recommended interval, it is amazing shine, slick to the touch. One drawback, though. A commentor reported that it attracts dust. He’s right about that. Instead of repelling dust, it seems to attract it. Even with several clean microfiber cloths, it is difficult to remove. Some thoughts need to be given by the developers to remedy this problem.

I used this product and was so impressed with the shine & protection. I usually like to wash & polish my car pretty regularly but other than a little dust from the tree I have to park under it doesn’t need to be washed & polished again so soon. Really like this stuff! Here are 2 times I used this product, the second one is in the shade under my tree at home. Also it doesn’t take me long with this to get my entire car done.

I first used this on my truck 6 months ago. I was happy with the results but wasn’t sure how it would last. It held up really well, water would bead up and roll off and I didn’t necessarily need to reapply yet, but I did after doing a detailed wash and the results are once again phenomenal. Easy to apply and it didn’t take more than 30 minutes to do the entire truck. I’ve had multiple people ask if my Taco is new. Nope, it’s 8 years old.

I hadn’t used a Turtle Wax product in decades. I watched a video comparing Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating to other products, and the product outperformed competing products, so I decided to give it a try. We applied the product to a white vehicle approximately one week and one wash after applying Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Polish and Wax. The product was easy to apply and remove and resulted in remarkably slick finish that had incredible hydrophobic properties after we encountered rain while driving. The vehicle was still clean after it dried. I would recommend this product to anyone I know.

I’m very pleased with nearly all aspects of this coating. Using it takes way less elbow grease than a conventional paste wax, both in terms of applying it as well as removal. As with any coating it’s highly recommended to use it in the shade (or, if possible, in the garage). The shine is excellent — I’ve used it on both a black SUV and a pearl white car with excellent results on both. The only shortcoming is the durability/longevity. It is not nearly as long-lasting as a paste wax with regard to water beading and deep shine. But, it’s so easy to apply that putting it on a few times each year is not a lot of work.Even with the shorter lifespan it’s still a five star coating for me.

I apply this stuff after I finish polishing my vehicle. It adds a great coat of protection that lasts about a week. You can definitely see the water bead up after it’s applied vs without anything on. Goes on quick, dries, then the haze can be wiped clear. I do notice that the bugs in my area love this stuff though. It’s only when I apply it that I notice these little orange bugs immediately start landing on my car. Like tons of them. It only happens the first day, each time, directly after I apply it. Must be the scent of it that attracts them. It does smell great.

When I first did this it was at the end of the day, sun was down, but it was roughly 90 all day and still at least 85 out. The bottle doesn’t say it needs to be done inside and/or in less heat but I definitely recommend it (and should’ve figured). In the sun/heat it dried so quick that it was insanely streaky and required a lot of elbow grease to get them out. I stopped and did the rest the next morning before the sun was up (74 degrees) and had no problems and just applied exactly as instructions directed. The difference in shine and reflection vs non treated was huge, even having well cared for paint/no swirling. Completely hydrophobic, can’t speak for longevity yet as I only did 1 coat but plan to just reapply every few months anyways. One coat on my Macan only used about a quarter of the bottle. Much better investment than a $1000+ ceramic coating, so long as you’re good with consistent diy.

I’ve been deluxing cars since 1952 at age 11. Many waxes, cleaners and ceramics have come and gone during that time. My choice of car dressing back in the 1950’s was a product by the name of Vista. It was a paste wax and cleaner that did the cars proud back in the day. Along with the change in automobiles and its technology has come changes in the products we use to protect our car finishes. It’s known as clear coat. Let me take the mystery out of your choice of cleaners, waxes, polishes and now ceramics off the table. Buy a liquid product that contains both caranuba wax and silicone di-oxides in its formula. Don’t pay more than $15 for at least 16 ozs of this product. Lightly spray it on your car. Dry it off with a soft towel and be done with all this “gobbilie gook” about which product is the best. Apply the wax for shine and the ceramic for top coat protection. Both will pprotect your car’s top coat as prescribed in the owner’s manual. That’s all. Mystery solved! You can get 16 ozs of this ceramic spray product for $13.49 or you can by Simonize Wax and Dry which is 26 ozs for $6.49. Appears to me this ceramic laced product gives you 40% less product for 2 times the costs, and best I can tell, the results are about the same. Both are easy on and off. Finding a combination of the two that can be easily applied at one time is the logical answer. In reading the ingredients on the Ceramic product which appears to be a bunch of witchcraft, I came upon a warning that read; “Harmful- Reproductive.” That’s printed right on the product. The Devil is always found in the small print. SO WEAR GLOVES WHEN YOU APPLY!!For my money, since the shine, gloss and water-repellent properties appear to be identical, side by side test on my hood, why spend 2X as much and get 40% less product and end up with much the same results and the chance of harmful effects to your reproductive system?AT AGE 82, MY CAR SHINES BRIGHTER THAN MY REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM. So wax on, wax off. I recommend that you wear gloves when using both products and save money by using the less expensive Wax and Dry product. You don’t want to mess up your reproductives. Now that the medical disclaimer is handled, let’s talk about the product. It goes on like warm, melted butter. Comes off in the blink of an eye and leaves your car beautifully smooth and brilliant. If you wax as often as you wash, then the less expensive Wax and Dry would be my choice. If you apply once or twice a year, go with the ceramic sealant. Either way your car will look great and you won’t be charged an outlandish price for the product. In Simonize I trust. And in Amazon I am confident that if the product doesn’t perform as promised, Amazon will make it right. That’s a fact.

t!. It’s so easy and makes the paint pop (antimatter blue metallic). It aids in keeping the truck easier to clean the next time. You really don’t need to spend $400-$1000 to get it professionally done on an everyday driver or work truck. It took less than 15 minutes to apply. I love it, thanks for the great product!

s been more than 10 years since I’ve owned a car where I was concerned enough about the appearance to bother waxing it, but I decided to buy myself a new convertible. Needless to say, there are all kinds of car finish (wax like) products that didn’t even exist the last time I wanted to wash and wax a car. I decided to try one of the spray-on products, and I selected the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating based on availability and price. I have to say that I love this stuff. It gives a great shine! It’s way easier to apply than the wax products I’ve used in the past that required rubbing and buffing. But perhaps the best feature is that it really seems to help keep the car clean. We’ve taken two road trips that resulted in lots of bug splatter on the bumper and hood, and tar collected on the lower fenders. I was shocked at how easily the bugs and tar came off when I got the chance to wash the car. I definitely don’t enjoy washing and waxing cars, and this stuff is a great labor saver!

I bought this for my model Y long range since I have a 150 mile commute to work and back 3-4x a week and there’s always bugs on the freeway (ca). After applying the vehicle panels feel very slick, but I found that the bugs are only slightly easier to remove when washing. I’m sure multiple coats will improve the performance but this stuff really makes your car shine! I found it didn’t do even half as well as rainx on glass though.

coat. Did a single coat and the buff-after-5-minutes was all it took. Due to tree pollen I rinsed the RV (two days after application) and it was incredible how easy it was to spray water and it was back to glory. So I applied a second coat and it did not go well. The second coat has tough time sticking to the first coat, nothing to bite to I guess. And it got harder to buff-after-5-minutes. I changed to new microfiber and still felt like the same. So I think a single coat is all it takes and if it wears off simply apply again after it wears off. One bottle worked well for the whole 30 foot RV with still 25% left to use.

going to get my 2023 Lexus professionally ceramic coated but after getting various prices from 700 to 1500 i decided to try a ceramic detailer first. I read the reviews and watch some videos on the product. Purchased here on amazon. Product goes on smoothly and wipes off but it did get a little streaky at times. I used during an overcast day around 50 degrees. Some reviews really complained about streaking. I believe that those reviewers applied in sunlight. If you dont have a car port go find a nice big tree to park under. Product gave a shine that was better than prior to applying. Remember, this is a 2023 Lexus. It was in my possession for 4 days prior to application. Cant attest to longevity yet and havent given it a second coat. However, on the windshield the properties results in not even needing wipers during highway driving. the rain just slides straight up the windshield towards the roof.

I’ve been using this spray ceramic wax for years now and have compared it to many other waxes. It’s one of the best for the money. In terms of ease of use, gloss factor, and slickness, this is my top choice. Now,that being said,I do detail my cars quite often. And I’ve used this ceramic spray as a second coat to the polish ceramic wax. It works great as it was designed to. But in terms of longevity, the Griot’s 3 in 1 ceramic spray wins this category. The youtube channel ScottHd has done a extremely thorough testing of over 60 car wax products, lasting over a year. The Griot’s 3 in 1 held up to others costing many times more. The Griot’s 3 in 1 is $20 dollars for 22 oz. The Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic spray failed quickly! So why do I use the Turtle wax Hybrid ceramic spray? When I lived in San Jose Ca,it didn’t rain much. I moved to Florida 6 months ago and it rains all the time here. And the humidity is incredible, you have to visit here to understand. In San Jose, even in the winter when it was much cooler, the Griot’s went on as easy as the Turtle wax ceramic spray, and wiped off as easily. But the Griot’s will last much longer. Up to 4 times longer. The Turtle wax polish wax and spray combo won’t begin to compete in longevity against the Griot’s 3 in 1 alone. Which makes the griot’s much cheaper. But I don’t let months go by in between waxing! And now.I’m having to deal with waterspots! And this is what I’ve experienced here in Florida. Because of the humidity, the Griot’s get’s streaky on all three of my cars. The Turtle wax hybrid spray also does, but not as bad. I can buff it out with a microfiber pad attached to my da polisher. The Griot’s 3 in 1 is much harder to get out. And it gets “gummy” easily. And this next thing is where the turtle wax beats all the others,Mequiars gold class, ultimate,hi tec yellow, mother’s…etc. It’s much slicker and the gloss factor takes the winner spot! So it doesn’t last nearly as long, but if you wash and polish your car often,at least once a month, this combo wins. The gloss and pop and the dust repelling, can’t be beat. I wipe my cars down with an absorber all the time.Which means I don’t actually wash my cars that often. I use the TW hybrid ceramic spray as a topper, which works great. The only thing slicker is Xtreme solutions Topper. It’s not cheap,it doesn’t last longer. It’s not a wax. But the gloss is about the same. Nothing beats Topper in terms of slickness. And i’ve tested many different waxes and detailer sprays. So,the Turtle Wax Hybrid Polish wax and Ceramic Spray combo is one I can recommend. Especially if you live in a humid area and lot’s of rain. I’ve done testing on the water beading patterns of different waxes. This combo produces small, tight, beads, which is less prone to leave deep etching waterspots. It beats the Meguiars and Griot’s various waxes they produce. They may last longer, but they produce bigger beads on the hood, top, and trunk lid. And if you don’t blow them off before the sun get’s to them, you get bad waterspots. Which I then have to buff out with Meguiars Ultimate compound (best and cheapest for waterspots and medium scratches). The little bit of waterspots I do get come out much easier. Sometimes I just have to rub them with a little pressure using just the spray. If not,I use the Tw hybrid polish wax on my da orbital polisher and they’ll come out.

I found out about Ceramic sprays almost by accident the other night. Looking into it more I found a review on YouTube of eight different Ceramic spray finishes. This Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray came out on top by far and was one of the least expensive sprays in the review. I ordered a bottle that same night. I washed my Traverse with a wash and stripper. I then used a clay bar all over to get more dirt off. Then last I used an iron remover solution to get off all the dirt and powder off my car that I could. I washed my windows till I could not see a streak on them. You just need to lightly spray this on. I used about 2-3 full sprays on a panel or door. Rubbed it in very well with a microfiber cloth in circular motions. Waited about a minute then with another clean microfiber cloth I wiped off any residue spray. It was very easy to do. It said on the bottle and in the online review that this can be used on glass and plastic panels. I tried the ceramic spray first on my rear left window. When I had rubbed off any residue there was not a streak at all left on that window. It looked fantastic. I went on to apply the spray on all painted panels and doors. On all the windows, chrome, wheels and plastic panels. My Traverse looked fantastic. The next day I applied a second coat as is recommended. I did all this on days where it was about 80-85 degrees and the sun came and went when I was applying this. they say you can applying it in the sun on a hot day and I believe. I had no problems those times I had full sun on the car.The finish with this is fantastic, just amazing! it is a better finish than I ever got with a wax. It is very shiny and slippery (a dry slippery). My windows are the cleanest I seen them since I bought the car. I very very much recommend this spray. This should mark the end of the old waxes for cars. You can very easily apply this ceramic spray. There is no buffing and you can even apply it in full sun. Plus you get a better finish than a wax would ever give you.As for longevity. I will have to see. It says on the bottle the finish should hold up for a year after two coats. The online review I saw showed this does not wash off easily. even with a stripper. But I want that.. I do not want this to be easy for a car wash to remove the finish.

Caveat: I am not and do not have airs to ever be a pro detailer to maintain my car, nor spend what it takes to get a concours-level finish. I needed something with quick-and-dirty bang for buck in this covid wasteland of fiscal uncertainty…Goal with purchasing this product was 1) best performance per dollar, and 2) a great finish achieved without a detailing shop filled with detailing tools, just layman’s care and frequency (a la the endless ceramic torture tests on YT with minimal to no maintenance for months/year). While I’m not *that* neglectful, this product seemed to offer just that.So applied on a 2-yo car freshly washed with Meguiar’s Gold Class wash, which has worked beautifully for years, pre-wax. Rinsed and dried panels but no compressed air due to no garage of my own…Comparisons will concentrate on the product I used most before finding HS: Meguiar’s Ultimate Quik Wax, which goes on easily but has lost many, many direct comparisons for durability to HS’…Cost: the 16oz HS is $13.99, the 24oz UQW is 11.97… so for cost per ounce the HS loses by $0.38/oz. However… if applied properly you’ll need far less product to complete an application than the UQW, for even comparable results (more on that later)…With the UQW I needed two coats to give me just about one month of peak performance before it went away. But when done it shines like a crystal clear mirror, just doesn’t last very long, esp if it rains every morning for a month (as this February did)…Applying this product… found right off the bat it’s a *lot* tackier than the UQW, and much harder to buff (sticks to microfibre). Followed instructions to apply two sprays per panel max, still did it. Also results in an inferior luster to the UQW, none of the mirror-like finish (though from five steps pretty close). But what surprised me (as a SiO2 newbie) was what happened after a day on the car…It’s hella dusty in my town, built downwind from miles of abandoned dirt ag fields between two mountain ranges, so every morning I wake up to the car covered in a fine layer of claggy dust. Same following the HS wax… but weirdly instead of sticking to panels (and glass, as apparently it’s fine on wheels and glass), the dust literally wipes clean, far easier than the UQW (found two coats UQW repelled dust better than one for some reason… but not 3?). And instead of degrading in the sun, the HS seemed to get even better (‘harder’?) the more it was exposed — and lack of luster? Sun made it noticeably slicker. Doesn’t say anything about that on the bottle, but I welcomed it as I could probably rinse/wipe the car down with a 1-gal garden sprayer with water for maintenance now, instead of $4 at the pressure-wand car wash in town.On wheels, same. The UQW would hold road and brake dust onto it, requiring a re-coat to get back finish after washing. I can wipe the dust off the HS coat with a microfiber cloth, and it’s gone, back to finish I put there days ago. Aside from brake dust (which is a bit acidic)… road grime sticks less to this finish than the UQW…So far, impressed. Apart from the weird tackiness on application, seems to give back a lot for one coat. It’s about time for rain the afternoons again (hello May) so will update on its performance when wet. I really want this product to work — most YT comparisons list it at or near the top for affordable SiO2 coatings. Let’s hope it’s less marketing and more truth…–EDIT 06 JUN 21:So that one coat… I am genuinely impressed. So it’d been about 2 months since applying, just went to wash it this morning. Gentle hi-pressure rinse washed off 90% of the dirt and bugs — the UQW can’t touch even ¼ of that durability. And all the glass and plastic that coat sat on, weathered even better (windshield and hatch window began miraculously shedding drops like I’d just Rain-X’d it… except it lasts not two days, but 2 months). Wiping down the car became an exercise in rushing — so little water on the car, the danger was actually water spotting! Mind you this was not applied atop a claybar’d, pro-detailer-prepped surface — all I did was apply the HS over the existing but washed UQW. Amazing…Speaking of being applied over UQW… I’m thinking that may’ve been the cause of the tackiness issue, as this time I applied coat 2 and 3 and very little of the tackiness was present (using the recommended two sprays per panel method). So for prepped surfaces that tackiness shouldn’t be a problem, nor will it if you’re applying over an existing SiO₂ coat.I’m sure Turtle Wax didn’t intend this product to be the lazyasses’ wax — but I no longer have to wax every two weeks like clockwork, or fear my finish won’t bead. Just a spray rinse every two weeks, then a reapply every two months, is very reasonable, esp for the price.Your move, Meguiar’s. I tried your SiO₂ spray and was not impressed; time to catch up ;)–EDIT 11 JUL 21:Alright so have had the chance now to put a few coats on; all exactly the same (no detailing technique whatsoever besides what it says on the label). Have some qualifiers for my rating above now ;)So, the durability of this finish, save from a pro detailer’s shop — nothing can touch it, so that much stays the same in this episode. However I am seeing some effects not particularly impressive as I wash and wax with this product more. The number one thing, is the quality of the shine. With the first layers over the UQW… I suppose I didn’t pay too much attention to the shine as the tackiness was the distraction… but even so, wasn’t terribly impressed by its clarity, consistency (esp when the 2 sprays / panel was obeyed), or depth of shine. Now the tackiness is completely gone (perhaps due to being applied over more SiO₂ layers) but even that initial middling shine is being replicated. Today was an overcast day so no chance to see if the sun would change that, but in the two prior wash/waxes it was definitely better.Another thing not mentioned anywhere on the label… is the need to shake the bottle *every time you use it*. Discovered this by accident last wax, when I topped off a new bottle with the dregs of an old one. The liquid pouring out of the old one, and the liquid in the new bottle, completely different: the new (both shaken, mind you) was milky; the old was nearly clear. This may have caused the discrepancy with the first coat’s tackiness. So before every spray, shake — the results over the whole car will be more consistent (as confirmed today with this latest wax).Lastly, I’ve found the best results for shine, depth of coat (I use the old carnauba fingernail test, run gently over the surface to gauge if the coat is adequate — slides easily , it’s good; doesn’t, needs another coat) do not *strictly* agree with the label — I’ve used this proc to best effect:– 3 – 4 short sprays per panel– clean microfiber to spread, let dry– 2 short sprays per panel– using same microfiber for first coat, spread new coat, let dry– new dry microfiber to buffBest for paint ime but esp for wheels and glass… this works a charm, and on glass doesn’t leave a haze as it does with one coat. Multiple coats on wheels is all over anything the UQW could do — that product on wheels seems to *attract* dust and grit; the HS seems to shed it (at least when it’s not raining). So if you’re looking for a maximum-impact wax for your cherry Chevelle SS, I’d go to a pro detailer for a ceramic treatment and not put those elevated expectations on this stuff. But for someone who wants a super-durable, lo-maint product to seal and protect and bead and not pay a ton, this is for those who don’t need concours finish and have only two hours on Sunday :DEDIT 18 OCT 23:So… just as the ultimate acid test (well, one that could fit into my schedule :D)… I left my car unwashed from March ’23, to Oct — seven months without touching the exterior, save quickly cleaning off bird mess, as their acidic little presents can’t be handled by this spray ceramic, and isn’t expected to. But full dust / road grime / salt air caked on for more than half a year, would it show on the clearcoat?Holy sh** — no, it didn’t. Even took it through an automated carwash, didn’t baby taking the dirt off at all. And under that layer, was pristine clearcoat. Not exactly like after an application of this spray… but way, waaaay less damage than I’d expected. This is on silver paint too, which you have to take care of in the sun, otherwise the UV degrades the paint layer from the inside. Leaving it dirty, may’ve saved it in a place like AZ or HI, both which I’d lived and lost paint on cars in. But that has nothing to do with the clearcoat — running a finger over it, wasn’t full of pits or grit or anything like that — smooth, beading water fine. I was *shocked*…Quickly put on another coat. This stuff’s amazing, at least where I live (no winter salt, no sand on the roads, no acid rain, no starlings sh***ing sheets of filth on your paint in the city). Cannot believe it, five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 😀

10 week update: Silver car photo above shows water beading after 10 weeks of application (2 coats) of Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray on a different car. I applied it again today. Very easy to apply. Can apply to black trim.Nice smell. Nice gloss after application. Will probably stick with this product for paint protection.4 week update: Second photo is 4 week update after wash and spraying with water. Car has been outside in the rain most of the past 4 weeks. It has rained approximately half of the days. Nu Finish is completely gone. Ice Seal N Shine and Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic are mostly gone. There are a few small areas of water beading for each of these. I would state that all 3 products have failed. Overall very disappointing for all 3 products and not the results that are claimed by the “professional” reviewers of these products. Not sure why the durability was so poor. Perhaps it is because I did not do any prep to the paint other than washing it (no decontamination, no clay bar, etc). But the reality is that most people are not going to professionally prep the paint prior to application. In this situation, perhaps the cheapest and easiest to apply product would win – of these, that is Ice Seal N Shine.Conclusions:1) All 3 products did not last more that 4 weeks, this is very disappointing – I may look into other products once I use up my supply of these2) Nu Finish: Clearly the worst of the 3 products. I think I am done with Nu Finish and won’t purchase it again. It is not durable (at least this bottle of it) and it has the major disadvantage of leaving white marks on black trim and rubber – many cars have lots of black trim these days.3) Seal N Shine: I think this might be the winner. Of the 3 products, it is the easiest to apply, it can be applied to black trim, and is much less expensive compared to Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic.2) Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic: Has slightly more gloss and slickness compared to Seal N Shine (both are much better than Nu Finish). If this is the most important feature for you, than it could be the best. However for me, it is more expensive and it was slightly harder to apply. I would accept these disadvantages, if it lasted longer, but it did not. Therefore, it loses out to Seal N Shine.Original Review:Decided to compare Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating to Nu Finish and Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine. Washed my over 10 year old minivan with Meguiars Gold class car wash shampoo and dried it with a microfiber towel. Did not do any other prep to paint. Applied Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine to the left side of the hood, Nu Finish in the center and Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating on the right side. Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine is easiest to apply. Just spray then rub on with clean microfiber towel and buff with other microfiber towel. Does not streak. Looks and feels glossy. Nu Finish is rubbed on with slightly moist towel, allowed to dry, then buffed off with a clean microfiber towel. This is more time consuming and labor intensive compared to the Seal N Shine – especially for a whole car. Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating is a little more difficult than the Seal N Shine unless you follow the directions closely. The first time I tried it (on a different car), I used too much and towards the end of the application towel because saturated with it. It made some streaks on the paint and trim that I had to buff out with a moist microfiber towel. This issue never happened to me with the Seal N Shine. In terms of the end result, the Seal N Shine and the Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating look the same. They are both glossy and slick. The Nu Finish is slightly less slick and less glossy. I will try to remember to update this based upon durability. In Summary:- Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine: very easy to apply, smells OK, can be applied to trim and paint, glossy finish- Nu Finish: more time consuming to apply (apply, let dry, then buff off), shiny finish (but not as glossy as Seal N Shine and Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating) has major disadvantage of making white spots on black trim, rubber and plastic.- Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating: easy to apply (but a little more difficult than Seal N Shine because if you get too much during the application, it will streak), smells nice, can be applied to trim and paint, glossy finish.
