Literally took me minutes to figure out which cable was which throughout my house.

Everything work as design, just unable to read the color because the light were way too bright and washout the color code but if you remember it then should not be a problem.

Works well at first, does it’s job. But the main connector isn’t stable so when I tried to disconnect the coax cable from it the connector twisted instead and broke from the inner wiring.

Faced with identifying the correct cable in a rat’s nest at the home utility closet, I got this. Of course, the correct cable was the 9th I tested. Note that a battery and a coax ‘gender adapter’ are inside the cloth case, the 4 colored identifiers are in the storage unit at the bottom of the tester itself. You’ll need a small Philips screwdriver to open the battery compartment (that’s the only bad part of the whole design.)

Easy to use, 9 volt battery is easy to replace and the resistors store in the tester making it hard to lose them

The wiring in my house was an absolute mess. Using this device I was able to remove several lengths of cable that went nowhere as well as identify all but one cable. It’s a simple easy to use device.

identifying unmarked cables. Loved the time saving in identifying unmarked coax cables in our new 5th wheel trailer. Very easy and straightforward to use.

Works great, wish I would’ve had it years ago

It was a piece of equipment that my husband needed for work. He said that it works well.

So my apartment was wired all crazy. This tool helped me identify and label my coaxial cables, which allowed me to DIY some cable internet wiring without needing to bring in an engineer/technician from my Internet Service Provider. I’ll be keeping the tool set for any future needs.

I moved into a new house and none of the cabling was labeled. I needed an easy way to trace all the coax cables in the house and this made it easy. Just plug in the colored connecter caps in each room and then connect the tester at the junction to all the cables one at a time until you get through all of them. Took me 5 minutes with this.

Purchased to check cable runs to distribution panel. Everything works well. Only item needed to complete checking cables was a small connector (see photo 2) not included in kit. You can not connect cable to unit without this piece. Package arrived on time and in good condition.
