The one thing about this calculator is it doesn’t come with a charger but the quality and value makes up for that! It looks sleek and is thin in size. The case is pretty protective too!

This calculator is great to have if you’re in college. I purchased it for a financial course I’m taking right now and I have to say it was worth buying it.

I’m currently in college and needed a financial calculator for homework and other class work. The Texas Instruments BA II Plus Financial Calculator is exactly what I needed. Its extensive range of functions, user-friendly design, and robust construction make it a must-have for anyone in need of a reliable calculator for their financial needs. My class textbook had the basic instructions for how to work this calculator, so it was easy for me to figure out how to work it and use it’s different functions.

I am a college student majoring in finance, and for the course requirements, we aren’t allowed to have calculators with an LED screen like a TI-inspire. So I bought this one for my coursework, and it is amazing! We work with lots of time value of money calculations and this calculator makes it so easy to work a problem. There was a learning curve, but the calculator comes with a really handy “how to” booklet, and the back cover shows you a lot of shortcuts. It is also super durable, this thing has been thrown around in my backpack with all my books for a while now and still looks brand new. If you’re looking for a reliable calculator that you don’t need to charge, this is the one!

  7. I have received the Calculator in condition, it’s functioning quite well ready for the exam. Looking forward to work with you on other orders.

The calculator is good condition and it arrived on reasonable time. Point of improvement is that the clearance process took a bit of time.

This is a great calculator. I used it for my Finance class and it was helpful. It is also the one most professors recommend you purchase.

Small keys and small overall. Sketchy instructions. For the average person who wants to know the “Truth” about How Banks “Fleece” people out of their money all you need to remember is when ever you take out ANY loan and I mean any, always ask for an Amortization Schedule. Amortization requires a definition. So look it up. It shows how a debt is paid off, Month by month, year by year, decade by decade. The house you buy for $150,000 will end up costing you about $450,000 by the time you have paid for it. A car loan and a personal loan are all structured the same way. All one-sided. (The Lender). The very last thing a bank, credit union, savings and loan want to hear is you asking for an amortization schedule. If you think or are under the assumption that the seller is being benevolent to you by not having you make the first payment beyond 30 days as in your first payment will be in 60 days, Think Again. Your loan is building up interest from the day you sign the papers. You should always make the first payment early so a lot of wasted interest is not being spent. Then keep adding extra cash from the next 6 to 10 principal amounts which on a $450 monthly payment is liable to have $448 in Interest while only $2 goes to the principal. By the time you are nearing the end of your payments your principal might be $445 while the interest is only $5.

I started my MBA and the Accounting class, and Financial Management class both required it. It is extremely helpful. It’s also fairly easy to understand after. A bit of practice. Makes life so much easier.

I needed this calculator for school but it was still one of the best calculators I have ever had. Not to mention how easy it is to use. The best part was the games that came with it. Worth the money.

I owned the previous version, which was far easier to learn how to use and came with both a paper manual and a small shortcut pamphlet. This one’s has a confusing online manual. Having someone teach you how to use this product would help a lot. Fortunately, the company rep was nice and surprisingly helpful over the phone. He explained exactly how to use the functions I needed it for.

I used this calculator for my CFP exam in November of 2023 (you can’t use TI-84 because of the graphing). This calculator does present/future value calculations, can calculate payment/interest/periods, and can do loan amortization. It is definitely not intuitive. However, there are tons of youtube videos specific to this calculator that are very helpful, making it easy to use. My biggest complaint is that the numbers do not always pick up so I worked every calculation twice (or visually checked that the number was entered). You just have to hit the keys hard and I guess I am used to touchscreens where you don’t actually have to push. Other than that, a great calculator and a good price!

Growing up I used the most basic math calculator. Moving to the US I began my journey as a junior majoring in business at ASU, I wasted my time and energy when I calculated the financial problems by using the normal calculator. Besides that, I have always depended on using Excel’s calculation functions, which has been highly inconvenient since I must constantly bring my laptop with me wherever I go. At that time, I realized that having a good financial calculator is essential for my studies. That is why I chose to purchase the Texas Instruments BA II Plus Financial Calculator back in October after considering carefully. After ordering the BA II Plus, it took around two weeks to arrive in the mail. When it came, it was packaged neatly in a small, rectangular box. Inside the box, the calculator itself was wrapped in protective plastic. Underneath the wrapped calculator was the user manual for the device. The packaging was simple but effective, allowing me to easily unwrap the calculator and manual and start using it right away without any problems.Using the calculator is straightforward. The provided manual offers clear instructions, making setting up a quick and hassle-free process. The buttons are responsive, and the adjustable contrast on the display ensures readability in different lighting conditions. No assembly was required; it was ready for use right outside of the box.The BA II Plus financial calculator has proven to be an indispensable and extremely helpful tool for completing financial calculations. Its performance is exceptional, handling time-value-of-money calculations and various financial functions with ease. The keyboard layout is intuitive, and the buttons provide a satisfying tactile response. The medium-sized, black design exudes a professional aesthetic, fitting seamlessly into both academic and professional settings. The PROS:- Designed specifically for business or finance majors, specialized finance functions like NPV, IRR, interest conversions, amortization, etc.- Trusted Texas Instruments brand – they are known for high quality and dependable calculators.- Nice LCD with sharp contrast, easy to see the numbers and results.- Tactile keyboard buttons, pressing the keys feels responsive and satisfying.- Reliable performance over months of use, calculations always accurate and battery life exceptionally long.- Affordable price, under $40 makes it accessible for college students on a budget.- Portability: compact design makes it easy to carry.- Easy to use, well-labeled buttons and a clear manual. The CONS:- Limited graphing capabilities: The BA II Plus is primarily a financial calculator and does not have advanced graphing capabilities.- Screen contrast adjustments: While the display has adjustable contrast, I might prefer a more advanced display customization option, such as backlighting, to enhance visibility in various lighting conditions.- Fewer math functions than scientific calculators such as no trigonometry, logarithms, etc.- The manual could explain advanced functions more, I had to look up YouTube tutorials on new concepts.Overall, considering my usage context in the business field, these drawbacks do not pose a significant hindrance to my needs and productivity, and the BA II Plus calculator remains a suitable choice. I would highly recommend it to any college students taking finance, accounting, or business courses.

I bought this calculator for a financial class. This calculator is easy to use and the instructions are helpful. Although you should definitely read it a bit since I was first confused when punching in some information. Usually you need to put in the number before you hit the interest button for example. Other than that great to use and very handy.

The financial calculator has proven to be a useful companion for my class, especially when diving into calculations that excel and other programs might handle differently. It serves as an essential tool for learning the intricacies of financial computations, providing a hands-on experience that complements theoretical knowledge. While I primarily use it for class, I’ve found several YouTube videos that offer step-by-step tutorials, making it easier to grasp the functionalities and maximize its potential. Whether you’re a student or a finance enthusiast, incorporating a financial calculator into your learning journey can enhance your understanding of financial concepts.

This is a great financial calculator. Very complicated so not easy to learn. I still don’t know what every button does, but that’s ok. TVM probs and uneven-cashflows are easy to do with this calculator. Again, not intuitive but once you figure it out it works great. My only issue: the thousands-separator and the decimal point (comma vs period) look very similar and are very small. I set my calculator to default to display four decimal points and the commas and periods are very small. I low light it is almost impossible to see where the little itty bitty period / decimal point is. A a class or test-taking setting, with bright industrial lighting, this is not a problem. I love this calculator.

The calculator is recognized for its clear display and relatively user-friendly interface, considering the complexity of the calculations it can perform. It’s a durable tool, often praised for its build quality and the tactile feedback of its buttons.

I bought the calculator for a college finance class. The calculator itself has many functions but it takes time to learn the many steps since there are many equations and variables to input. Quality wise its perfect. Received it quickly and use it constantly.

This was the recommended financial calculator for a graduate level finance course I am taking for my MBA. It makes my life easier and I credit it for helping me get As on my tests. It matches the textbook’s examples of how to solve problems on a calculator. Before you start a new problem, clear your work. Clear your time value of money. Clear your cash flows. Clear them again to be sure. It stores a lot of stuff in memory. The one thing I haven’t figured out how to get it to clear is C/Y in the ICONV function, but maybe the manual explains that. I haven’t actually read it (shh!). Be sure to put your outflow values into the calculator as a negative number, or some computations will give you an error. It won’t help you keep the terms straight or untangle the tricky questions, but it will help you do the math in a fraction of the time it would take to do them on a standard calculator. The price is reasonable, too, which I appreciate. The one downside is that sometimes it doesn’t register when I press a button. That’s user error, and it’s probably good that it isn’t super sensitive. It just means I have to start over more than I would prefer. But even that is okay, because putting the cash flow in twice is still a lot faster than compounding or discounting everything manually.

It works like a calculator, fast response time, easy to charge. Very easy to use, and it comes with instructions on different functions and features. Nice quality and cheaper than buying in store.

Great price for a calculator that got me through some tough financial courses! I never had any problems with it and found it easy to use. It’s lightweight, the buttons are easy to press, and the screen is easy to see. Others have mentioned that it doesn’t fully clear problems but I never had that issue just using clear but for complicated problems I used the 2nd, reset, enter, 2nd, format, 4, enter, off, on that my instructor suggested for completely cleaning problems then setting it back to 4 decimal points for the format. I have never used a calculator like this before and I found it to work great! The lost of calculations on the cover is a nice touch too to get used to the functions.

I have used TI BAII calculator for years. When I thought the old one had died, I ordered this new one. Easy to calculate payments for loans such as mortgages, cars, etc. You can also compute growth for investments. Sidenote – my old calculator works fine, but I decided to keep this one anyway because I do not want to be caught without it.

Overall this calculator does everything you’ll need it to do. I just wish it was slightly bigger and sturdier/heavier. It doesn’t sit very well for single-hand use. If it were a little bigger and the keys were a little bigger, it could be used more efficiently.
