This Family Calendar has completely transformed the way my family stays organized. With a busy household, keeping track of everyone’s schedule and tasks used to be a challenge, but this WiFi-connected calendar has been a game-changer.Setup was a breeze—I just plugged it in, connected to Wi-Fi, and synced our Google and iCloud calendars. Everything automatically populated, and now, it’s so easy to add new events and chores directly from the calendar or the app.The 15″ HD touchscreen is vibrant and easy to use, and we love that we can either mount it on the wall or use it on the stand. I also appreciate the color-coded feature that assigns a different color to each family member. It makes it super easy to see at a glance who’s doing what and when. One of my favorite parts is the Chore Chart—it’s interactive and makes checking off tasks feel rewarding for the kids. Plus, the meal planning feature has saved us so much time. No more endless questions about “what’s for dinner!”The accompanying mobile app is fantastic, allowing us to update tasks and schedules even when we’re away from home.If you’re looking for a way to streamline your family’s busy life, I can’t recommend this product enough!

Great functionality and looks. Super easy to set up and get going. My only complaint is paywalling the photo screensaver behind the premium subscription at $40 a year. This is an android tablet with a touchscreen in a frame. For $300, it should have enough on board storage to not make a photo slideshow “cloud functionality” that merits recouping storage costs. The other functionality in the premium subscription doesn’t feel like it helps justify the cost (for our use case). The device itself is solid, the UI/UX is good, and it was extremely quick and easy to set up. I docked a star because the premium subscription gating of the screensaver feels bad.

Do you have screen fatigue? Me too. Does the idea of using a device to keep your family’s schedule streamlined and centralize make you long for simpler times? I get it. But modern life is really a lot easier when you’re organized and this Skylight calendar is the easiest, user-friendly, intuitive, sync-able to any other digital calendar you could ask for. It’s very simple layout is actually kind of soothing. There is no way I would have remembered our kid’s school orientation, my mother in-law’s vet appointment, and the dude coming to service our air conditioning all within 24 hours. Since you can color code for every different member of your family, it’s easy to see who is where and when. You can mount it, or it comes with a very heavy-duty counter-top stand, your choice.

Our family relies heavily on a calendar to keep track of various activities, from school events to appointments and everything in between. Initially, we used a whiteboard calendar in the kitchen, which required manual updates each month. Seeking a more efficient alternative, we discovered this digital calendar through social media and decided to investigate further. Here’s our comprehensive review:Installation and Setup:- Initial Setup: The initial setup requires creating a Sky email account to send photos to the device. When setting up the calendar, it’s essential to make the calendars on your phone public and use the Sky email for syncing. Although it takes a moment to populate, once you grasp the process, it becomes quick and easy.- Mounting Options: The device can be wall-mounted or placed on a counter with the provided stand. We opted for the wall mount, which was straightforward and easy to install. However, a built-in leveler would have been helpful to ensure the device is perfectly straight.Features and Performance:- Dual Functionality: This digital calendar not only replaces our whiteboard calendar but also doubles as a digital picture frame, allowing us to display numerous photos. This dual functionality is a delightful bonus.- Ease of Use: Managing the calendar is convenient once you familiarize yourself with the setup process. It’s excellent for organizing chores for both kids and parents, ensuring everyone stays on track.- Cable Management: One drawback is the power cable that exits from the bottom. It would be beneficial if the device included a cable cover to hide the power cord from kids and pets, enhancing safety and aesthetics.Overall Satisfaction:Overall, this digital calendar and picture frame is a fantastic product, offering great value for its price. It’s highly functional for families with busy schedules, making it easier to remember and manage multiple activities. The added feature of displaying photos is a lovely touch. Despite minor issues with the initial setup and cable management, we are very satisfied and have recommended it to our friends. This is definitely a great addition to any household, particularly for those with many events to keep track of.

Really great product, it helps keep my wife and I on track with what we need to get done. I love the photos catalogue you’re able to add because when we have guests over we can set that up. Overall it is a really great product. has a couple different mountain options and of course it can sit on a desk/ counter. The product is very sturdy and his super useful!

Best purchase by far. Love the frame look and the ease of the app. Helps to keep the hectic chaos of scheduling in one place for people to contribute to. Love the photo option as well. Helps our toddler to see photos of her friends, family, and herself when younger. Great family gift!

I found this item after doing some research on what’s available in the market. It’s at a reasonable price point. It comes with two ways to display it to suit your needs. The touch screen is pretty responsive, I’ve had no issues with it. The size is perfect for our needs. It comes with the optional subscription for extra features. I decided to go for it for a year and see if it is worth it. I would say that I wish it provided more for the price point of a subscription. Subscription is by no means necessary as it will do the basic functions without it. Syncing up my calendar is easy and fast. I notice it update within minutes of adding an event on my phone. Very user friendly. If you choose to add photos to it, my suggestion is to add small chunks at a time. I’ve noticed if I’ve selected more than 50 pictures, that the app freezes up and the upload fails. The photo screensaver (not sure if that comes standard or if it’s a paid feature…) is neat and the kids enjoy seeing their pictures cycle through. You can also set times for the screen to shut off and turn back on. I’m hoping that this increases my productivity with the chore/task feature.

I got it because my children are very schedule oriented and I’m tired of wasting paper. It has a calendar feature, which I linked to my Google Calendar. Super convenient! It has a chore list, a to-do list, and a grocery list. It even has a digital photo display option. I have not opted into the pay-for-it version of things. I am not utilizing all the features but definitely explored them. Had my daughter’s birthday party at home and this just seemed to draw everyone in. I had it on the calendar which for me is my default because it’s meant for my teen kids. But everyone was asking about it because it’s digital and on display with little to no effort.

I debated buying this for months. It is pricey but worth it. This has drastically helped with keeping the kids on task with chores and daily tasks. It’s very easy to use. Love the app because I can add chores as I think of them and the kids can get started when they get home. I also add chores for myself and my husband for the weekend as I think of them. We often discuss what needs to be done but forget by the weekend. My only negative would be that I didn’t realize there was a monthly charge on top of the cost of the calendar itself. Just be aware before buying

This calendar has been so helpful to me and my family. I can see everyone’s schedules and it is constantly updating when I add new items to the calendar on my phone. I also love the chore section. I have added chores for my kiddos and they enjoy going in and checking them off as they do them. This is a great tool to help with families!!

I bought this for my son who is on the spectrum. Having a visual guide helps him stay organized and provides consistency to his day. He also knows what to expect from others in our family which helps him understand his role in our family unit. By having his expected tasks listed he is not surprised and has helped lessen tantrums. Being able to add items on the calendar directly or through the app is very convenient, especially shopping lists. This calendar has definitely helped streamline household operations. The screen is nice and bright and has the option to put it to sleep on a schedule or at will. I gave 4 stars because I think it’s silly to have to pay monthly to use it as a digital frame especially at the price point it’s at.

At first my husband and I saw the price and wasn’t so sure , but reading so many great reviews we decided to buy this amazing product. Finally a way my husband and I can be organized together despite having android and iPhone. It has a monthly view daily , weekly .You can even add chores and lists . This is fully customizable by color coding you can create categories and name them we can finally keep track of our bills and activities . But the absolute best part is the app we don’t even need the tablet we have everything on the go he can see my doctor appointments work schedules and I can him . The tablet is fully functional to you can edit and delete anything from the tablet just like the app . I love old style calendars but this is a nice medium for the new digital age it feels like a classic old calendar but all the perks with digital. I never have to worry about remembering to write down anything if I have the app now . I hate the normal phone built in calendars never could figure those out but this is so simple and again gives that old school calendar feel but modern.Worth every penny !!! You do not need to pay for the extra subscription to use this either so don’t let that discourage you it’s not mandatory!!! But my hubby and I are thinking about upgrading to the additional features but for now this exceeds our expectations ! Buy it you won’t be disappointed!!!!

This is great for keeping track of obligations across your entire family both outside the home, and in with the chores feature. It integrates with existing calendars, giving you an interface to see everything in one place. The option to display a week at a time is my go-to, but the effortless toggle to different views showcases flexibility. When you want to decompress and take your mind off of your family’s busy schedule, you can utilize the calendar as a digital frame, cycling through family/ personal photos. The Skylight Calendar is a valuable addition, seamlessly blending functionality with elegance. Whether for personal use or as a thoughtful gift, its ease of use, aesthetic appeal, and organizational benefits make it a worthwhile investment in enhancing daily life. Highly recommended!

This has been a lifesaver for our busy family. We are able to keep everyone’s schedules updated easily and color coded which helps knowing who is where and when just at a quick glance. It looks great hanging on the wall. We’ve had several visitors comment on the calendar and ask about it. Bright enough to catch your attention and help remind you to review your day with what is scheduled. You can easily put it in sleep mode if you need the room dark. Our favorite feature is the fact you can add, edit, or delete events from either the calendar itself or an app on your phone. This has saved us so many time from forgetting to add it to the calendar at home, or on my phone. The feature to toggle back and forth between calendar, chores, and lists is also very helpful.

My husband and I both work from home and have constantly overlapping meetings, work travel, and ever since the pandemic it has been a living nightmare to manage who is doing what when. I can’t tell you how many times we scheduled over each other only to find out when it was too late…we tried a shared google calendar, but without something physical we never ended up looking at it.When we got the skylight calendar we weren’t sure at first if it would solve the problem we’d been having (and honestly initially when we saw the pricing we hesitated briefly) but we could not be more happy with the results! The product feels almost like it came from Apple – the opening experience is delightful, the finish is really premium (which makes it more fun to use), and setup is a breeze. Once it’s set up, all you have to do is add your calendars and almost automatically it all shows up and auto-updates (if you, like us, were a little confused about how to set up the stand instead of mounting it – there’s a really easy video on youtube that walks you through how to do it).I cannot tell you how life changing this has been! My husband is constantly on work travel and it has been so helpful to see when he is traveling, have all of the details I need at my fingertips, and to be able to quickly add and remove joint events or tasks whenever we need it. Even after a couple of weeks it has made a big difference. One tip if anyone in your family is using a work calendar – one problem we initially ran into because my husband’s calendar lives on his work email and his IT admin wasn’t approving it (heads up it shows up at Glimpse LLC), we weren’t able to see anything on that calendar. The good news is there is a really easy fix: all you have to do is add the email (yourusername@ourskylight.com – obviously put your actual username and not ‘yourusername’) to all the events you want shared and it easily pops up in the calendar. We were worried it wasn’t going to work but it’s been smooth sailing since we figured that out.If you’re struggling to manage your or your family’s busy schedules and tasks and want a beautiful solution that is a real joy to use – your search is over. Oh and by the way, we found out you can also use it as a picture frame! We haven’t done that yet but given my husband loves photography I’m sure we’ll be using that soon. Could not recommend this product more!!

The synced calendars provide a detailed overview of all activities, easily differentiated by color coding. The ability to modify changes in events or items on your grocery/to-do list in real time across all devices is very convenient. The device is sleek and a nice size. What I found a bit challenging is that there is no battery in the device so it has to be constantly plugged in and there isn’t an ability to screen share. Other than that, it truly is a wonderful digital organizer which is easy to use and cohesively streamlines your life’s activities!

The Skylight Calendar has changed the game for my family. Juggling work, family, and personal commitments is always a challenge, even with having a digital calendar in your pocket. My wife and I have had various shared calendars for awhile, but it’s always been difficult to find the balance of what personal stuff needs to appear on what calendars and to avoid duplication of things. The Skylight Calendar has allowed us to finally stay organized and in sync with the various schedules that our family keeps, and displays it all in a visually and aesthetically pleasing way.Setup is a breeze, and the Skylight syncs effortlessly and in real time with our digital calendars (it supports most major email platforms). The calendar is intuitive and easy to navigate, and can display all or specific calendars synced to it and has multiple customizable views. We have it set up in our kitchen, which all but ensures that everyone in my family, including those who care for our children during the week, are able to see what is on the agenda for the day, week, or month as well as any changes made to schedules in real time. It’s also nice to be able to set an example for our children of being organized and having a schedule. We’ve also taken to using a meal calendar that appears on our Skylight. The integrated lists feature is helpful when referencing what to make during a given week and what needs to be added to a grocery list. It’s nice to have that all together, accessible by anyone in my family.Overall, the Skylight Calendar is a great product for anyone – and especially families, in my case – who is looking for a way to stay organized and on track. It is easy to use, visually appealing, and packed with features. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I have a simple parenting philosophy – we are raising adults, and our job as parents is to help our kids be independent in age-appropriate ways. This is especially important now that our oldest is attending a local college while living at home and our son is a junior in high school with an active club and athletics schedule. We have been looking for a way to stay organized and keep everyone informed of school holidays, evening events, doctors appointments and chore responsibilities. We had a shared family calendar online, which addressed some of our needs, but did not allow us to include selected items from my husband’s calendar and mine. We also struggled to track our kid’s chores and have them feel responsible for completing without reminders or nagging from us.The Skylight calendar has solved those challenges beautifully. The calendar was very easy to set up and looks good in our kitchen and is intuitive to use. It was simple to set up and sync to our existing calendars, everything auto-populates seamlessly. We now review the calendar together after dinner to get organized for the next day and make sure there are no panicked calls for rides to or from school events that had not made it to the family calendar online. We are just getting started with the chore tracker, the calendar makes it easy to assign chores and track their completion. So far it’s been invaluable for organization and has reduced nagging.I wish we had this calendar a few years ago! It’s brought simplicity and clarity to coordinating our family’s hectic schedule. I highly recommend it to other busy families who want to stay organized in an easy and elegant way. This would also make a great holiday gift.

I got a Skylight calendar to display my personal and business schedule in my living room. Syncing my Skylight with my Google calendar went smoothly once I figured out how much pressure it takes to use the touchscreen (ie a little more than on my phone.) I use the option to display a week at a time most often, but I noticed while I was on the phone with a client discussing an appointment that it’s very easy to toggle to the month view, and it was helpful to do so without having to interrupt my call to look at the calendar on my phone. So the calendar function is great, but I’ve also been enjoying the other features. I wasn’t actually sure I would use the photo screensaver, wondering if it would be too busy for my space. Once I adjusted the settings to make the display look good, I had fun choosing which pictures to upload. I used the chore chart feature to up a watering/feeding schedule for my plants without having to add reminders to my Google calendar that would clutter it. Again, I wasn’t sure I would even use the chore chart feature, but once I got into setting it up, I realized how nice it is. My basil will be trimmed and fed on a schedule going forward! And that is the unlooked-for benefit of the Skylight Calendar, in my opinion: it looks wonderful, it has just enough features to be useful but not overwhelming, and it feels like I treated myself to something nice! At this point in my life, I am cautious about adding new devices or gadgets, especially screens, but this one is worth it. The Skylight Calendar doesn’t solve a problem as such, but it makes things I do anyway easier and more graceful. It’s one of those things that you buy and immediately wonder how you did things before. I put the calendar up on a wall with lots of prints and paintings, and despite being digital it looks like it belongs there. The photo screensaver is lovely to look at, and the calendar display is understated and easy to use. I would recommend this as a nice addition to your organizing tools or as a wonderful gift.

I’ve always been a paper planner kind of person but trying to keep track of my schedule, my husbands schedule, to-do’s, the kids school schedule/events, dr appointments, lunch menus, social events, etc was a lot and none of it was in a central location. With Skylight – all of that is literally in one place. We have it in our kitchen (below the snack cabinet so that the kids have no excuse to not see it). Everything is color-coded which makes it easy to read/find things. The kiddos have been loving the chore chart. They check it daily and I love that I don’t have to remind them to do their chores now. They see what needs done, do the things and then check them off the chores list. As a mama, it’s one less thing I have to think about that and transfers that responsibility to them.Using it is really easy too! I have my iCalendar on my phone synced to it so I can even use my Apple Watch to have Siri create an event and it will populate on my Skylight within a few minutes. We also upgraded to the Plus Plan so that our Skylight is a screensaver of photos when not in use and we are loving the Magic Import feature. Today, I snapped a pic of the kids school lunch menu for the month, I emailed it to our Skylight and it populated the months lunch menu within seconds. It literally could not be easier and more efficient. This feature is a total time-saver and game-changer (think multiple kids with multiple sports/extra-curricular activities).Overall, you can not beat the quality of this device. It has taken our organization to a whole new level while making it easier. I can not recommend it enough!!!
