We bought an 85″ Roku TV. I’m not bragging, but it is really nice!! However, the Roku remote that came with the really nice 85″ TV is surprisingly cheap feeling, and it doesn’t have voice search. This Roku remote is quality. It feels good in the hand. It has motion-activated backlighting, and it not only has voice search but also voice command. Without even holding the remote, I can say, “Hey, Roku. Turn up the volume to 50%,” and it does it. I don’t think that it’s necessary, and I’ll probably just continue to use the volume rocker on the side of the remote, but it is pretty cool. The battery is rechargeable via USB-C cable. The one that is supplied is a decent length, but some may wish it was a bit longer. I think it is 18 inches. The new remote setup was quick and easy. Just go to settings to add a remote, and for me, it was immediate. Also, the old remote is still operational and can be used concurrently with the new one. I put it away to use temporarily if the new one is lost, broken, or most likely stolen. Yes, it is that nice!Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

I like the new remote. Definitely worth the money. Backlighting on the buttons is helpful. Line being able to find the remote. I like the button with rocket ship on it that allows you to assign any 2 stations you want and also I frequently use the mute button. Good device. Charging it is no problem.

I absolutely love this Roku Voice Remote! I’m using it with my older TCL TV, and it’s been fantastic. Pairing was incredibly easy (just pressing the home and back buttons for a few seconds), and it auto-paired without needing any extra setup. Even the volume and power buttons worked immediately. The quick access button is customizable, making it super convenient to get to my favorite apps with just one push. The backlit buttons and rechargeable battery are huge pluses, eliminating the need to fumble with batteries over and over. The remote’s sensitivity and range are noticeably better than my older Roku remotes as well, which is awesome. The voice feature is really where it’s at though, you can navigate apps, adjust the volume, or even turn the TV on and off (at least on my TCL), which is a big time-saver, especially on YouTube TV where manual input used to take forever. The hands-free voice activation is a cool feature that you can toggle on or off as needed as well. All in all, I can’t believe I waited this long to get one, it’s been a game changer! Definitely recommended!

I’m a person who loves tech. We just cut the cord and in bed we need 2 remotes bc we’re either losing it in the blankets or one falls asleep before the other. Lol. This has all the buttons backlit, rechargeable batteries, voice activated, it’s pairs in 5 seconds. It’s just a great remote. Definitely needs a cover bc it is very slippery.

Actually, didn’t really need a remote but love that this one is rechargeable and is backlit for at night. So far has worked great. I’ve tested the voice commands but don’t really use it very much.

This remote is a great replacement! My old battery operated voice remote fell a few times too many and started failing. Volume buttons did not work well and it would disconnect and reconnect randomly but consistently, way too many times. I tried deleting it, and repairing it to the Roku without any luck. The new remote works as expected. I love the backlit buttons and they come on as soon as you grab the remote. You don’t even have to touch a button. The “find my remote” feature is also excellent when your couch eats remotes even before breakfast. The only thing I don’t like about these remotes is that they come with those 4 preset buttons at the bottom. It would be ideal to be able to program those buttons with whichever apps I wanted, rather than the preprogrammed ones. I only use the Netflix button. The rest are untouched. But it would be nice I could reassign one to YouTube, for example.

20240815: I like this remote. Lights up when you pick up and makes using easier. All buttons have reasonable feedback and are located well for use… except the “Mute” button, which seems to get toggled too easily… Would prefer if had been located topside instead of on side next to volume buttons. Another plus is no batteries… Charges with any standard cell type charger and internal battery lasts days on end. When time comes, I will buy another… Recommended!

This was soo easy to pair with my roku and TV. Seriously, it was and it works so well. I love the backlight on this and the voice command. Great remote.

Bought this JUST because of the backlit buttons. It has lots of voice features I’ll likely never use, but they may be handy for others.Only had one problem so far. The buttons originally lit up when the remote was physically moved, but after less than a week this feature stopped working for me – the buttons would only light up when a button was pressed.Found out if you press the Back and Home buttons simultaneously, and hold them for 20 seconds to reset the remote, the motion activated backlit buttons started working again.Hope this review helps someone, because I was about to be sad if that feature broke after less than a week!It is a great remote control upgrade, and I highly recommend it. I hope it lasts longer than the original remote that came with my Roku Ultra – that remote’s buttons stopped working as well as they used to after about 4 years, which prompted me to hunt for a backlit replacement. If you are in doubt of whether you should buy one of these new remotes, here is the only downside I have found for this remote – it does not have an audio jack on the remote. If you use wired ear buds or wired headphones to watch your Roku, this remote isn’t for you. But, that is the only downside I have found to owning this remote.Of course, it doesn’t work with all available Roku devices, but if you bothered to read the product description, you already knew that.Wishing Roku included these remotes with their Ultra devices years ago!11/10, would recommend…

I had another Roku remote that required batteries and did not have voice search. I noticed this model was rechargeable, was remote finder capable and the keys light up. This remote is also voice activated. This is great except on rare occasion my remote will over hear a show I’m watching and initiate a search for something it over heard Lol. It’s actually kind of funny the things it will search for, some make sense and others leave me scratching my head trying to figure out how it heard what it puts up on the TV that it is actually searching for?? I love the backlight keys especially at night. It’s a really nice feature as well as the fact that its rechargeable. I really like this remote.

I really didn’t need a new remote, but I was tempted by the voice activation and the backlit buttons. The rechargeable battery was a bonus. Totally worth it! Since I have a working remote, the setup was easy peasy through the settings menu on the TV, and within a few minutes, I was ready to go. This is well worth the price!

Remote works great. Love you can charge instead of batteries. Back lit is a plus. I ordered for 3 of my televisions.

Up volume on my old remote was failing and I finally got fed up and got this unit. It’s lightweight and usb c chargeable. Comes with the cable. Easy set up to. Pairs with you device immediately and I guess it also pulls the tv volume info too because it was all instant at the press of a button. The backlight is cool too. Stays off until you touch it. Really futuristic. Lol.

Love the perfectly working voice control. The backlit keys, remote find feature and the very simple one push pairing with my TLC TV . TLC customer support told me over the phone that no voice control remote would work with my particular model. I took a chance and it paired up in five seconds and works flawlessly.

It works great. I love that I do not have to worry about buying batteries for it. It has a very good battery life. The feature that I really like, that the others did not have, is that the buttons light up. It is as like it has sensors when you pick it up that lights up the buttons.

Easy to use, easy to understand instructions. Remote control lights up when you touch it. Voice control is great. Volume buttons on the top right side of the remote as well as the silent button. The remote performance is really good.

I saw a review on this remote, and it looked like something I could use, so I ordered it. The first thing I noticed was that I didn’t have to change batteries anymore, as it has a USB 3.0 recharge port. The second thing that is nice is that it has a lighted keypad. The third thing was that it had voice recognition, which is handy to use instead of doing all that typing. It’s easy to connect to your current Roku and it also connected quickly to my Samsung TV, so I can control volume and turn the TV off and on. I can also override the TV remote if the TV is on a network program, as all I have to do is push the up arrow on the Samsung remote and I am at the Roku home screen. That’s pretty nice.Overall, this little remote is easily worth five stars. It’s well worth the money, especially if you can find it on sale. I highly recommend it!

This is such a good product! It is so cool to have the find my remote feature and can do simple commands audibly to make things even easier. Setup couldn’t have been easier. As soon as we removed the battery blocker, it synced the remote automatically. The backlit feature makes it easy to see the remote in the dark as well! I would recommend this to others!

So much to like about this upgrade to the first rechargeable remote. It now has backlit buttons for the dark, remote finder and a longer lasting battery. With all the extra features like volume control, and the backlit buttons, the batteries may not last as long or come as the same as the old. Either way, nice upgrade to the first one. Happy with my purchase 👍

I purchased this as an “additional” remote because of the features it offers. The most liked feature is the lighted selection buttons. Secondly, the lost remote finder. Third, the voice command. It is well worth the asking price.

This remote replaced our broken Roku Ultra remote. It’s essentially an exact match, however we love that it’s rechargeable and has illuminated keys. Setup was a breeze.

Works great and no more battery changing. Backlit buttons are good also. Was very easy to pair with the Sound bar.

Easy to pair with your Roku device, convenient LED backlight for easy use in the dark. LED light activates by voice, and recharges, eliminating the need to purchase batteries. Doesn’t always chime in find remote mode. Bit I may needed to set it up properly

I’ve got the 1st edition Pro remote and have really enjoyed it, so I decided since the 2nd Pro edition is backlit that I’d try it out. I’ve liked it, but I do have a few complaints about it: 1) It doesn’t have the jack for headphones/earbuds like the 1st edition does, 2) it just a tiny tiny smidge shorter and thinner than the 1st edition, so none of my cases that I already have will fit it correctly {yet the button design and layout is identical, thus leading me to believe they made it just a smidge smaller so one would have to buy new cases too}, 3) the backlight sometimes does activate easily if you move it as soon as it goes off {like if more time is needed to see the remote in the dark}, 4) instead of having 2 programmable shortcut like the 1st edition Pro, now you have to press a button to get to the 2 programmable buttons, 5) as with the 1st edition Pro, I don’t like the 4 preprogrammed buttons not being programmable. I usually only use 2 of the 4, so 2 go completely to waste. I wish it had 6 programmable buttons instead of only 2 with 4 preprogrammed ones. The changes from the 1st edition Pro that I do like are: 1) the backlighting {except as earlier mentioned}, 2) the shortcut button to get to the Roku channel guide, 3) the usb-C plug-in for charging it.In all honesty, even though I rated it at 4 stars, I very very rarely use the new 2nd edition Pro, I continue to prefer and use the 1st edition Pro. BUT, if my 1st edition cases had of fit, I’d most likely only use the new 2nd edition Pro. I just feel duped about it being the exact design, but just enough smaller that the 1st edition cases won’t snuggly fit the 2nd edition Pro. Once I breakdown and eventually get a case or two for the 2nd edition Pro, I’m sure I’ll switch to it and give up the 1st edition Pro.

My sister asked me to purchase this for her as her old roku remote finally stopped working after many years of use. She said that it was easily pairable to her roku stick and tv, she loves the backlight and the fact that it’s rechargeable instead of having to replace the batteries. This remote has the volume controls that you can pair with your TV to have the whole remote all in one. The quality is fantastic and signal strength works with ease. Highly recommend this remote control for any roku lovers out there.

I wanted a Roku remote with lights. This does the trick. Roku is a great device. This remote is ok. Light work most of the time. Not sure why not all of the time. The battery with just 45 minutes of use almost daily needs to be recharged every few weeks. Not sure why so often since disposable batteries lasted very long. Our old Comcast remote was backlit and it turned on all the time. And batteries lasted over a year. So this Roku remote is not perfect but it’s working for me. Easy enough to plug in to recharge.

It’s a very good remote. Love that it is backlit. That feature is the only reason I bought it. Love it. Just wish you could pick the companies that are preselected at the bottom of the remote.

The voice recognition for searching is really a game changer. The voice feature can also open applications. Setup is very easy. The backlit buttons look really nice and the remote itself has a nice matte finishThe remote itself is also much more responsive and has a much stronger transmitter than the stock remote that came with my TV. And because it’s rechargeable you never have to worry about batteriesLove it overall

This remote is rechargeable and the buttons are backlighted for evening navigation ease.It is worth the price and a good upgrade to an existing Roku remote—much heavier duty than the included remotes.

I’ve been using this remote daily for about a month now and it is by far the best remote Roku has ever made.I didn’t realize how nice a rechargeable remote would be until I bought this. Not having to stock/monitor batteries for my remote is really freeing. This has a simple USB-c port on the bottom for charging and your Roku will tell you when it needs to be recharged. Battery life is way better than all of the AA & AAA battery versions of the roku remotes. This also has light-up buttons which is great when watching movies in dark rooms. Connecting it to my existing Roku was simple using the included instructions.Have been super happy with this and I am going to buy one of these for each of my Rokus. Would highly recommend.

This is the best TV remote ever, indeed. It has all the options that the previous models had, but this one in addition has a microphone, remote finder, all buttons lights up after just slide touch, no need to press anything, its rechargeable, eliminating need to always have AAA batteries on stand by, and finally the installation is super easy.I’m very happy I found and chose this one.

I’ve been a Roku TV user since 2020. I very much love how Roku’s operating system is easy to use. I recently heard about the Roku voice remote pro second edition and wanted to give it a try. Up to the point of purchasing it from Amazon, I was using the Roku voice remote non-pro version. I upgraded to that one from the roku remote simple as my original remote Stopped working. I am a huge fan of saving the environment, so the less reusable batteries I have to use, the better. I’ve only been using this remote for a few hours and it’s already enhancing my experience. For starters, the hey Roku feature is very useful, as I don’t have to pick the remote up to change the channel. if I lose the remote, I’m now able to use the Find My remote feature. It uses USB-C, so I can plug into any USB-C cord and it charges right up for me. And if that wasn’t already great, One charge last you three months. I am also astounded by the light up buttons. It has sensors built-in, so when I pick it up, I am able to see the buttons that I’m pushing at night. The buttons are also bigger on the sides, so clicking the volume buttons is a lot more easier. I’m not sure if it’s just me but compared to the simple remote, voice remote, and voice remote Pro, the voice remote Pro has a lot more grip to it. It’s definitely way more easier to hold in your hand. The only thing I’m not a fan of is that ugly flap at the end of the remote just above the charging port. It was there on the voice remote and it is here on this model as well. I’ve been using the Roku voice remote for a while, so I’ve learned to ignore it. Overall, the roku voice remote pro is a noteworthy upgrade. 100% would recommend.

After buying some cheaper knock off remotes and being disappointed with the results I decided to just spend the little extra to get the actual Roku brand and then decided to get the latest since it’s rechargeable and we love our other rechargeable remote. I am SO glad I did! It was super easy to set up and worked immediately. My husband is the main user of the Roku TV we needed this for and he loves the backlit buttons at night. Just save yourself the headaches we had and buy this one, you won’t regret it.

Although not my favorite streaming platform, Rokus have been my prefered streaming devices for traveling and vacation. I like to have two remote controls for each streaming device. I liked the Pro 1s so I thought I should like the Pro 2s. I was disappointed with the Pro 2 however. While the Pro 2s have USB-C input and a Lighted Keyboard, they do not have an earphone jack. The newer Ultras (e. g. the 4802x) can connect to Bluetooth earphones and earbuds but not speakers. If you are considering upgrading your Roku Remote just keep that in mind.

I haven’t had any issues with the remote. It works great and was easy to connect to my roku & tv. I love the backlit at night. There’s no eye straining to see the buttons in the dark. It’s smaller, thinner, and lighter than the previous gen. The texture feels different, but that doesn’t bother me. And of course, no batteries are needed.

The Roku Pro remote was already one of the best, most user friendly remotes on the market. The layout and tactile, soft touch buttons are just about perfect. I love the volume rocker and mute button on the side of the remote. The hands-free voice search is top-notch and responsive as soon as you say “Hey Roku”.Now with the second edition, they added motion sensing backlit buttons which are very well executed. It’s almost mesmerizing seeing the colorful buttons light up as soon as you grab the remote, including the purple D-pad. Also the addition of USB-C for charging and a bigger battery for much better battery life are huge improvements. The only trade-offs that I noticed was the omission of the private listening headphone jack (which I hardly ever used) in order to make the remote a bit slimmer, and one less customizable button than the first edition. They replaced the other customizable button with a guide button, which is useful for me because I use The Roku Channel Guide all the time. The sole customizable button is now marked as a rocket ship on the remote.Overall, very satisfied with this upgrade.

I’ve owned several different Roku remote controls and this one is by far the best one yet.Pros: USB-C charging 50% Larger Internal Battery Capacity. Backlight on buttons for easy night viewing. Voice detection without having to press an action button. Easily programmable shortcut button. Live TV Guide button. Remote Control Firmware Upgrades.Cons: No Headphone port like the previous model. No power brick included to charge remote. The remote control is easily setup via the Roku menu settings. It pairs up in seconds with very little effort. It is lightweight and the buttons are responsive and have a nice soft feel to them. No headphone jack is included for private listening, but you can use the Roku mobile app for that.It includes four streaming presets and a programmable preset button. There is a button on the side that keeps the microphone on in case you want a more handsfree experience. I’m sure keeping that on will use more battery. Charging for the remote is not especially quick, but after a week of use I am still at over a 90% charge.I would recommend this remote if you are a heavy Roku user. This remote is an improvement over the previous version and I love the USB-C charging capabilities because I always have an extra USB-C cable available.
