These are made of a plastic material. I can see these breaking down over time/use.I picked these over other models for price point and giving me a handle without adding too much to the length of the hoses/handles. My pulled equipment changes constantly and I am always moving my 5th wheel back. With the other style where the handle installs with fittings on both ends it can put the hoses too close to the deck. This feels like a good compromise. For the price I can replace them and not feel bad about it.Our shop ended up putting them on my truck while it was in for service so I cannot say how they are to install but they stripped out the screw holes slightly doing it so they felt a little loose. I wrapped the top and bottom with zip ties for stability.Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

These make constant glad-hand connection and disconnection easier but they are a bit brittle. I’ve cracked a few as the lines cross over in cold weather. Also, had to modify the center screw boss with a rotary tool to provide clearance for the existing hose ferrel. They do work and price point is not too bad.

Add the metal fitting to the male NPT end of your 1/2-inch hose. Assemble the handle halves with 6 screws and you’ll have secure leverage on the gladhand without damaging the hose. Works great. See my separate reviews of gladhands and hose.
