Top flight controller here. As the owner of a Day 1 series X, I think I may have a bit of a faulty console as literally ANY wireless controller besides this 1 would have random disconnects. Sometimes, it would last for mere seconds and reconnect to the console. Other times it would turn the controller completely off and I’d have to turn it back on to reconnect! Needless to say, if you’re playing any game in real time, this is pretty disastrous. In comes Razer with the controller to solve it all. It’s the 1st wireless controller that has all that I needed to enjoy gaming with a wireless controller again. Not only is my MAJOR issue solved with disconnects thanks to the included dongle with peerless connectivity, but it also has hall effect thumbsticks to boot! Goodbye stick drift!!! Buttons are click-y like a normal computer mouse and can be a turn off to some but I actually enjoy it now and don’t feel its obnoxiously loud. Will take some getting used to holding in the hands as well as it ergonomically feels different from any other controller I’ve used and the two huge surfaces for holding on the left and right sides feel shorter but not a real detriment. 4 Buttons on the back and 2 additional on top near the bumper buttons for button remapping if you’re into that. Only missed opportunity with this controller is I strongly feel it should’ve had a slot in the case so you could charge the controller in the case. That would’ve made this a 10/10 controller for me but this is as close as it gets! Highly recommend, especially if you’re having connectivity issues with other wireless controllers!

I’ve had the Wolverine V2 Chroma for years and loved it but the controller is a bit worn down and I did feel like it could be better. I saw this come out of nowhere and had to get it. I can definitely say it is an improvement for sure. The feel of the controller feels as sturdy and heavy as an Elite 2 which I like. It just feels like better quality over the V2. The back buttons are also like Elite controller which I know a lot of people prefer. I have big hands to the back buttons of the V2 didn’t bother me as much but this was an improvement most people wanted. I will say the D-pad is a bit smaller. As someone who plays fighting games, this may be an issue but so far not that much of an issue. These d-pads still are not the most accurate as I would like and find myself making mistakes when I play Tekken 8 online. If there was a feature I would want to see in these “pro” controllers, it is that they have changeable d-pads that come with one that are more fighting game friendly. I find that the the Xbox Series controllers still have the best d-pad for fighting games.Overall, even though this is mainly for shooters and action/adventure games, it does work well for fighting games. Especially if you use it wired with PC tournament mode on. I did notice the response time was a little bit better when I had it set to the PC 1000 mhz mode. Keep in mind, I am just a dude and not Digital Foundry so it may actually just be marketing bs with a placebo affect but it did seem to make a little bit of a difference on online Tekken matches. This has more features than the V2 like the option for wireless and two different wired modes. Better positioned back buttons. RGB lights on front of the controller with the logo instead of on the handles. With just an overall better feel. If there are a couple bad things or things that needs improvement it is that when I turn off my PC, it does not automatically turn off the controller like the V2 did. The controller turns off when it’s battery saving time is up. And that the vibration/haptic feedback is not strong enough. I have the strength set to the highest strength and it is just not strong at all. It may be due to being on the PC mode but I am not sure. After playing with the Hyperkin Dutchess controller, that controller has some real kick to the vibration and I preferred that.Best pro controller you can get for PC/Xbox right now. However, it is expensive. Thank god for monthly plans.

Razer made the the right corrections based on our feedback for the V2 chroma. Much appreciated! BUT hall effects thumbsticks shouldn’t have this bad stick drift when deadzone is set to zero. I already tried out 2 V3 Pros and both had the same stick drift pattern that pulls down-right. Almost a perfect controller.

I love this controller. I have had different controllers with paddles and this one beats them all. this controller has great paddle placements and the hall stick pads feel really good. the clicky sound on each button also sounds very good. Controller has hair lock triggers incase you like them.. if not you can turn them off easily on the controller. Well done razer.

I own most of the Razer controllers that they’ve released (pictured are just some that aren’t in storage) so I’m what you may call an expert and also bad with money.Razer controllers prior have all had some issues to put it lightly, or in the case of the Raiju’s so much so that the lineup is now effectively dead in favor of the Wolverine. The Wolverine v3 Pro feels like a true culmination of all the past controller issues and questionable design decisions being ironed out.I will list my own personal highlights compared to previous offerings as I do not see any of the “tech reviewers” mentioning them.+ Tension on thumb sticks and full pull on triggers nearly identical to stock Xbox, stick tension slightly tighter from what I can tell and it feels amazing compared to how loose the tension on every Razer controllers has been prior+ Thumbstick material and texture provides actual grip, previous controllers were slip city+ ACTUALLY GOOD AND ERGONOMIC BACK BUTTONS OH MY GOD HOW I’VE LONGED FOR THIS+ Face buttons have been changed for the better, sound and feel is still clicky like Razer is known for but much more muted, and in general they’ve felt less fatiguing to use+ M1 and M2 switches changed to be same as bumper, previously they were not and had slightly different feeling actuation force needed so if you tested your fingers on the extra buttons you may have accidentally triggered them due to the lesser force needed+ Actually good trigger stops bravo 👏+ Wireless that works without issue!!! On a Razer controller no less wow!+ Good polling rates??? 250hz 2.4 wireless polling rate on Xbox is double than the standard and elite controller offerings from Xbox, finally a pro controller from Razer that actually lives up to the pro name. With up to 1000hz wired on PC Razer has finally caught up to current year and as a result this is their most responsive feeling controller ever.+ Razer actually priced it fairly for a wireless pro controller, remembered to include a carrying case this time, and included a 10ft cable for wired. Immaculate W+ Hall effect sticks in a big name pro controller, to see Razer adopt this before Microsoft and Sony absolutely blows my mind, they actually did it. Bravo. If you play on Xbox and PC it’s a no brainer. While they could certainly do more in offering a wider variety of stick options, let alone the means of easily obtaining more which historically they’ve never done outside of ordering a “replacement set” at absurd prices from their parts store, I’m just in awe that Razer actually knocked it out of the park for once.Honestly I’m just in shock they actually priced it at $200, I feel like I actually got what I paid for so the finance team must be on vacation or something.

This is a useless product until third-party software like REWASD supports button re-mapping, because this controller (like Microsoft’s Elite Series 2) does not provide any software out-of-the-box that allows re-mapping buttons to new unique inputs. There is no point for software re-mapping to provide mapping configurations to other buttons on the controller… obviously to utilize this controller for competitive gaming, the controller should be exposing additional unique inputs for the extra buttons.Do not buy this until software is updated to support the primary feature that this product is marketing itself as having (button re-map capability).

Thumb sticks are miles better than previous generation. Mouseclick triggers also a nice upgrade, feels better in the hands by providing better feedback. Placement change of the back buttons is my only gripe as it makes the controller difficult to hold, I’m sure I’ll get used to it but it does make the controller feel very cramped imo. Overall happy with the controller, option of wireless is also a nice addition for couch play and such

Been rolling with the Elite V2 for a while then went to the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra. Been using this one for the last couple days and it just narrowly beats out the stealth. The build quality is solid, feels sturdy but light weight. The buttons an paddles are very responsive and have a nice click to them. The extra bumper buttons on top and the trigger stops are a nice touch too.If youre in the market for a high end controller go for this one.
