I have a very weak lower back and need lumbar support wherever I’m sitting or my lower back starts to ache awfully. I bought this iece to replace a wornout lumbar support pillow for my desk chair. I’ve had it for over a month now and it has helped a lot. I can sit in my desk chair for longer than it’s healthy to do without feeling any pain at all.While this unit is a bit smaller than it appears to be in the ads for it, it’s the perfect size for me. I’m 5’2″. Not sure how well it work for someone who’s 6′ tall.It DID take about a week to get used to the memory foam. At first it felt too stiff. But now it’s perfect. If you’re going to try this unit out, give it at least a week to conform to your back before you decide it’s for you or not.

I use this back support when driving my motorhome. It works great to support my lower back and since I am a short lady, it helps to get me closer to the steering wheel. So it serves as two functions for me. You will love the support and it’s made very nice for a reasonable price. I am a Happy Camper with this one.

This lumbar pillow is ok, but it didn’t work that well for me. When I used it on a sofa, it felt like it was pushing my upper back out, rather than just pushing and supporting my lower back. In my vehicle it felt better, but I wasn’t able to move the seat back quite far enough to adjust it to my normal distance from the steering wheel. I used it that way for several weeks but didn’t seem to really do anything for me, so I removed it. I may try a roll type lumbar pillow the next time. I’m looking more for something that supports my lower back and helps maintain better sitting posture, and this didn’t quite do it.

Update: after leaving this review, the seller kindly offered a refund on the product, so I am adding a 4th star for customer service. I decided to keep trying with it, as it might settle in over time and I haven’t found anything better yet. If I position it a bit higher on the back of the chair it helps a little.This seems nicely made, but it does not quite support the back where I need it to, no matter which direction I flip it, and it’s very bulky. I’m having trouble sitting chair properly because the cushion takes up so much space that it pushes me too far off the front of the chair. I can see how it would be good for a number of people, but I can’t get comfortable no matter what I do.

When this first arrived I was put off by the way it was packaged. I mistakenly believed it to have a semi-rigid frame, and it arrived rolled up like a tube. I was afraid it would get squished down and caught under like the pillow I’d been using. However, once in my recliner this back support stayed in place and performed well. The only failing is the straps are not long enough to go around my recliner, even at their full extension. But since it hasn’t moved around that hasn’t been an issue. I’m glad I ordered this support and would recommend it for use in recliners.

I don’t often write good reviews before using a product for at least a few months, but in this case, this is one product that deserves good a good review right now. I think should be included with office chairs especially high end ones like TP8/9Ks. My TP8k backrest gave out after about 10 years of use and I was considering getting another chair when I came upon this. It not only solved the backrest problem but I am left feeling I should have had this from day 1. Complements the memory foam seat of the chair like its part of it. I used to lean forward towards my monitor. I no longer do that and just by using this on my chair, I have corrected my posture putting my back against this especially the small of the back where usually back pains start. It is comfortable and height adjustable for tall or short people. So one of the best products at a reasonable price. Hoping it lasts a few years, but even if not, the concept is one that needs to be appreciated.

I have a desk job, and this cushion has turned my health around! I injured my back earlier this year and have been going to physical therapy for my pulled lumbar muscle, which has been very slow to heal. This cushion has saved my back extra strain on so many occasions. For a long time, just the gentle bumps in the road while riding in a car were very painful, and this cushion helped soften the blow of all of it. I still have a ways to go in physical therapy, but this chair cushion has helped my healing tremendously, I even got 2 so I could keep one in the car, and one for at home/on the job.

I have had seven spinal fusions and I have severe back pain when I sit in any other chair other than my recliner. My husband plays guitar while I sing, and since I can’t stand for long periods of time I use a elevated chair. All other cushions/pillows I tried wouldn’t stay in place. This works better, but even with 2 straps it still moves until I’m finally sitting in place. Has good upper & lower lumbar support.

I bought this lumbar support for my husband. He needed some strong lumbar support and this is definitely helping his back feel supported and better. He likes that it aids him in keeping his spine aligned. It doesn’t look like much or that big, but it fits great against his back and he is 6 ft 1 in. It helps my back as well to prevent curving my back in our recliner. I plan on getting one for the car as well.

typical chinese or whatever amazon product, its about half as big as you are imagining it when you order it… it does seem to do something to my back, i think it just makes me injure it in a slightly different way while sitting for a long time. I ended up just throwing it in the corner of my bed and now i just lie in bed on a pile of pillows while using the computer due to lower back compression issues.

Update Oct 21 2024: Even better in the car!I had my first opportunity to check out the Lumbar Support Pillow in my 2004 Subaru Forester on a long trip to Vermont.The last time I took a long trip (without the pillow) I had severe lower back pain during and after the trip. My old Subaru seats don’t have much in the way of lumbar support.This pillow or cushion (your choice) made my long trip so much more comfortable. It helped prevent fatigue, which kept me more alert during the long trip.I am going to purchase a second of the same pillow so I can have one in the car and one on my computer chair at home.I would give this product 10 stars if that were possible!— Original Review —I have been sitting in a Staples Kroy office chair for years. I never had the lumbar support I needed, even though the chair was an improvement over my previous Staples chair.The reason I purchased the Lumbar Support Pillow was my five hour car trip to and from Vermont last week.I became so uncomfortable I had to stop at every rest area on I-87 to get out and walk around.My 2004 Subaru Forester XT has limited seat adjustment.When I got home, I checked Amazon, and found this support pillow. I figured I could use it for both my computer (office) chair and in my car (2004 Subaru Forester XT).I received the cushion a few minutes ago. I immediately unwrapped it and let it expand. I didn’t air it out as instructed because I have no issues with the smell. I don’t smell anything objectionable from this pillow.I extended the straps, and strapped it to my Kroy office chair with the cushion positioned for lumbar support.When I sat down, it was like I was in heaven! The cushion supports my lower back – just as I had hoped it would – and is very comfortable. I can only hope that it doesn’t lose its form or become squished after a week or so. I will update my 5-star review if necessary, but for now, I am a happy camper!
