I bought 2 different to test. On the right is what I am reviewing here. It look and feel good in size. Look well made. Quality is ok. The Brightness on the Leds and display is good. It perform better than others. Is versatile to use. I use to build the display my self but I prefer to try this one. It is good value for the money.

I am old, my 1975 Snap On test light has been a workhorse since I bought it new. There comes a time to update and I needed a device that could read polarity and voltage for many small DC projects and this one has met the bill. I hope it will last half as many years as my 1975 Snap On that still works.

I haven’t used a test light in about 20 years but needed one for a motorcycle restoration and I didn’t know a test light could get better than a bulb and pointy bit! This one has a very clear LED plus the circuit board in the handle displayed an approximate volt readout. I also don’t have a voltmeter to test the accuracy, but 13.4v from my little motorcycle battery seems about right. Besides, even if it isn’t super accurate, this isn’t the tool to measure specific voltages. However if you’re hunting for a 12v, 6v, or other voltage quickly between a nest of wires, this does it so well.The pointy end came fairly sharp from the factory so I didn’t need to put a point on it. Its lightweight, and has a strong alligator clip that is reasonably shielded too. The connecting cable is lightly sprung and coiled, its got good length for most things around a bike, under a dashboard, or under a hood. However it wouldn’t reach from the battery to the rear of a pickup truck. Its only got about 4-5 feet of stretch.The only demerit I can give this so far is the LED is fairly focused and may be hard to see in dark or very bright areas. Not enough of a demerit to knock any stars off.

I like this tester. I use it for quick and dirty tests to get an idea of what’s going on voltage-wise. Easier than pulling out the meter and connecting leads. Around 3v minimum but expected with the display. Clamp is decent as well.

I’ve reviewed this tool already, but I’m asked to review every time I purchase more to give away as gifts, or add to another vehicle. I “love” this test lamp (as much as anyone can love an inanimate object) I’m a professional mechanic (over 30yrs for a living) & it’s so handy at times to know what voltage is quickly when not prudent to use a cumbersome meter in a tight place, or even in general. I’m still using the 1st lamp I bought from this company regularly at work, no issues to report!

I’ve been a diesel mechanic for 22 years and a shop owner for 8 of them. I own tools from all of the big name companies (Snap-on, Matco, Mac, Cornwell etc..)This test light is comparable in quality to a $200 test light from Snap-on.The handle is comfortable. The cord is very nice. The alligator clamp is strong. The wire piercing point is extremely sharp and durable.The manufacturer of this test light takes pride in their work and they have equipped me with a tool that I’m proud to have in my arsenal. This is a nice tool to have to diagnose engine shorts and power & spark issues. I hooked it up to the battery ground and went to work looking for shorts in the wiring & power issues. I found I wasn’t getting any spark from the engine coils and realized I had a short in the Ground somewhere. After climbing through the engine I found the shorted wire that blew the 15amp PCM 1 fuse. I wrapped the short with “Liquid Electrical Tape” & also “Automotive Wiring Harness Cloth Tape, Heat Resistant/Insulation Cable Wire Harness Wrapping Adhesive Fabric Tape”. Over kill probably but hey! Problem solved. This tool put me on the path to find the issue. It works great.
