      Works well for what I needed it for. Surprisingly good value for the cost. Would recommend for a shadetree mechanic/tinkerer. Not sure it would be good enough for a professional, but you should have better tools anyway. 🙂

      I really liked it. It’s so helpful. I’ve used it three times, and I was able to fix things faster than if I had used a voltmeter. The volt and ground buttons are really useful, and there are many other things that I like about it. I highly recommend it..

      Troubleshooting electrical gremlins has always been frustrating for me. I’ve seen videos of people using power probes to diagnose and test circuits and was impressed, but those things were expensive. Now that the market is saturated with clones and the price has dropped significantly, it’s time to have one of these in your toolbox! The ability to determine power and ground sources is huge in itself-doing this with a typical DMM is cumbersome. The super power of these probes is the ability to apply power or ground to a device to test its functionality. This unit feels well built, the extra extension cord is a nice touch. Every home handyman should have one.

      I was having some issues with the cooling fans turning on in my car. This tool made circuit tracking and component testing a breeze! It actually had enough power to turn both fans on, pretty awesome! It comes with a nice little case and a removable extension cord. Powers on and reads really fast.

      I received this over the weekend, today’s Monday and I’ve been using it today at work. What a deal!! One of the other guys has one of the more expensive brands, and I’ve used it many times. This topdiag does just as much at a 1/3 of the price. Came with Soft case, 20ft extension cord, cigarette lighter plug. I like that this one changes the whole screen color, Green for negative, Red for positive. I do wish it had a steady beep with diff tones, but the slow beep for negative, and fast beep for positive is doable. All in all I’m very happy with my purchase, and it was next day delivery. For the price it’s a no brainer. If anything changes in the future, I’ll update, but so far im impressed!

      full disclosure, i received this a few days ago and i havent used it yet. but i had been looking at the power probe but finding it hard to justify the price. i saw this on sale for less than 1/3 the price of the power probe, but hesitated on it, becuase i didnt know if it had the same features. one in particular, when testing for +12 and gnd, the power probe will only give a “go” signal if the voltage is within 0.8v of supply. this is handy as it wont give a “false positive” on a high resistance connection. i read through all of the comment sand questions and could not find anyone mentioning weather or not this model had that feature, so, before i bought i downloaded the manual, and it stated that is DOES share this feature, so, i bought one. looks to be of sufficient quality to perform the needed tasks, so as it stands im content with saving a substantial chunk of change.

      I have a 4′ x 8′ utility trailer, light duty, max 1200 pounds, and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why the lights did not work. I of course checked the ground coming from the car/tow vehicle and that was good. Then I cleaned and checked the ground wire from the trailer harness to the trailer frame; all was there as well. Then with the Topdiag P100 I was able to check each individual light. I finally found a bad connection on the left rear bulb housing, and for some reason that took down the whole system. Problem solved; they all work now. This isn’t a tool you would normally use on a daily basis, that is unless you are an automotive professional, but when you need it, it’s worth its weight in gold. Highly recommended.

      Got this tool as I was looking for a device to help me when installing lights and switches on my Jeep Wrangler.I loved how long the lead/cable was, made testing the lights and checking for power to my switches a breeze. I was also able to track down a long issue I had with my cigar lighter that wouldn’t work. Excellent, must have tool if you are doing any type of electrical work on your vehicle.
