This phone case securely fits and protects my cell phone. It has a rubbery outside and cushioned inside to absorb impact from every angle. It is easy to hold. And, it fits very securely.

This has two pieces – a rubber cushion inner portion and a hard plastic outer shell. I received the package undamaged but the outer shell was defective. There is a small bridge above the charging port entrance that is very thin and bent down, making it diffcult to insert the charging cable and impossible to connect a data cable, which has a thicker plastic shell around the USB-C connector. Also, IMHO, there rubber shell has a tiny rubber flap to ‘protect’ the portal. It is tedious to try to hold down the flap and insert any cable. I was in the process of returning the item to get a replacement, but Amazon has ‘supply’ issues. Now I just want to return it for a refund. I found another Otterbox protector that does not have a portal flap and have ordered it.

OtterBox Samsung Galaxy S24 Commuter Series Case – New phone, new case. Without a case, the damn phone is like trying to hold melting ice. Otterbox are decent so, Otterbox it was. The buttons work well and the fit is excellent. On the top half of the sides there’s a nice, grippy, rubber area. But on the bottom half…NOTHING! No longer like melting ice but more like hot banana. It’s still slippery! Why? Nobody will ever know. Also, there’s a flap over the charging port that must be pulled out of the way each time. It seems a bit unnecessary but I supposed it adds water resistance. Overall, it seems overpriced for what it is, but I found a return that saved enough.

Edit to my original review below:I have since reached out to otterbox, and they have since sent a replacement that fits perfectly. Oddly enough, the one sent from otterbox was in different packaging from Amazon. Perhaps Amazon got a bad batch. Regardless, it’s a great case. I’m updating my review from 1 to 5 stars, but maybe consider ordering direct from otterbox.~~~~~~~~~~~I have have been a loyal otterbox customer for years, and they normally provide a solid product. However, when I purchased this case for the first time, I noticed the inner lining is saggy to the point where it doesn’t wrap around the phone in a snug way. You can see the power/volume buttons sticking out. The gap between the side of the phone and case is large enough for dust and debris to get in.I thought I had received a defective model, so I got an exchange through Amazon. However, the second case had the same problem. (see photo) There must be a tolerance issue with the cases for the S24 base. I will be returning for a refund.
