This is not a foundation so it won’t cover all the blemishes but it does give a nice glow and moisture along with SPF protection. The smell is a little odd for me (too mineral-y?). The cost is also a little higher than what you could find out there but good product to try. The shade I got was darker than I anticipated but didn’t look that dark when applied.

I have had to deal with Melasma for a few years now. It’s so difficult to find the right sunscreen to keep those horrible color pigmentation away from my face. I have tried every single sunscreen out there and spent so much money and nothing has worked as well as this product. This sunscreen has been perfect for me. It’s not oily and the color adjusts to my color skin perfectly. It’s very thin in texture but it definitely has a thin layer of color that blends in with your color skin perfectly and it acts as a primer for my foundation. So I have learned that if you have any type of color pigmentation problems like I do, you have to have a sunscreen that is tinted. That’s the only way to help your skin be more protected. I’m extremely happy with this sunscreen and definitely helps my melasma. I recommend this product 100%!

I was curious how these two products compared with their tint, but didn’t expect to see such a distinct difference! Anthelios has a cooler tint with more of an olive tone, and CeraVe is warmer tint. Personally the olive tint doesn’t suit my skin type. While I have no complaints about the LaRoche-Posay brand, in fact my dermatologist recommends them, I do wish they would offer a wider range of tints for all skin tones. I fall around Fitzpatrick type 1 & 2, actively take care of my skin And avoid the sun when I can, and wear sunscreen when I cannot. I Need a sunscreen that can give me a glow, Does not burn my eyes and looks fairly natural. This does have a little bit of a dark appearance on my skin so if I want to, I’ll mix it with the non-tinted version of this to create a lighter effect. Overall, I feel like this will be in my bag for years to come. I have my car and I go back and they always seem potent. They’re easy to shake and they maintain consistency. I have no complaints.I’ve used sunscreen before, Including supergroup, which I also love, but this stuff gives me the color I like.

have Celiac Disease and am allergic to traditional sunscreen. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a sunscreen that did not make my skin break out in a rash. I went on a two day Kayak trip this weekend and wore the La Roche-Posey Tinted Mineral sunscreen and I did not break out in a rash. I love this product and will purchasing it again.

This is my holy grail sunscreen! Not only does it offer top-notch sun protection, but the added tint blends seamlessly with my skin, giving me a natural, even tone without that dreaded white cast. The texture is smooth and lightweight, making it super easy to apply. It never feels greasy or heavy, which is a big win for me. Plus, it doubles as a perfect base for makeup, so I can skip a few steps in my morning routine. What really sets this sunscreen apart is how it keeps my skin looking fresh and dewy all day long. No breakouts, no clogged pores—just healthy, glowing skin. If you’re looking for a sunscreen that protects, perfects, and pampers your skin, this is the one!

I have been using this for years…decades, really. I try others here and there but always come back to this. For me the spf protection is the primary reason to buy BUT I also use it in place of foundation most days. This works for my light skin tone. It works on a lot of tones to prevent white cast but if you are light this provides a lovely subtle coverage. It also mixes nicely with most of my foundations if I am going for more coverage (events and evil zoom meetings). I hope they never stop making it.

I generally refuse to pay for fancy-schmancy products (hello, fellow drugstore girlies!) and I resisted the hype. Then I saw an independent test in which a line of photosensitive dots was placed on someone’s arm and each dot was covered with a different sunscreen. La Roche-Posay’s protection lasted SO MUCH LONGER than my usual drugstore choice! So when Amazon had it on sale for $29, I jumped. And DARN IT, this is a fabulous product. It applies super-smoothly and is very lightweight but offers great coverage. It blends like a dream; I’m over 40, and it doesn’t settle in or exaggerate my pores. I use it instead of foundation in the summer, when my makeup is minimal, but you could definitely layer products over it without it pilling. I wish they offered a wider color range for people with darker skin; I really hope that’s in the works for the diverse world we live in. But for folks with medium-toned or lighter skin, it’s pretty flexible; I had thought it would be too light and too grayish-toned for my olive skin (fyi, I have near-black hair and browns, dark brown eyes), but it melts into my skin well and quickly. When this runs out, though, I still don’t know if I can justify repurchasing unless I get another amazing deal; I’ll probably just use e.l.f. (which did ok, if not as well, in the testing) and re-apply frequently. Sigh.

I have used this sunscreen for several months. I am outside in hot, very humid weather, in and out of direct sunlight, working with horses and in the yard. I apply first thing in the morning and forget to reapply. I have not burned yet. None. Works great as a very light coverage foundation with basic mascara and cheek color for a weekend no-makeup makeup. Light, non-greasy formula. Not a matte finish either. I really like this product and intend to continue using it regularly.

My husband got this for himself not realizing it was tinted. I gave it a try and I am in LOVE!! I have never had good luck with anything SPF on my face. I break out, it’s thick and greasy.. not this stuff! Blends perfectly and leaves my skin feeling super soft and moisturized. I am ditching my foundation to wear this!

  11. Natasha Gonell

I have super sensitive skin and this is the only tinted sunscreen that does not make me break out. I love that it is tented so that in the summer if I don’t feel like wearing foundation, I put this on with a little loose setting powder and it stays in place all day. It does not feel sticky or oily on my skin at all. I also mix it with my foundation in the summer for more sheer look. If you have sensitive skin or oily skin, this would work really well for you. However, you do need to get used to the texture of it because it is liquidy, but once it dries, it does not feel oily.

  12. Jonathan Goh

My wife is pregnant and she is very sensitive to sunlight, pro to hyperpigmentation and we did extensive research on what dermatologist recommend. This is one of the best mineral tinted sunscreens. Not oily and has some coverage. The only downside is probably just the price. Overall, it’s worth the money if you are planning to use it only during pregnancy.

  13. SuzanneE

I have been using this product for several years on a daily basis and am quite happy with it. I am very fair – I joke that I’m not white, I’m translucent. I squeeze a little dollop on my hand, then add a dollop of the untinted version, mix them around then apply to my face. Yes, it takes a few extra seconds to get this custom tint, but the result looks great. I love the SPF value, good spreadability, non-irritating formula. As the tint provides a bit of foundation-like coverage, I wear this without additional foundation unless I am going to a fancy event. I apply the untinted version on my neck, because my neck is even lighter, and to avoid transferring the tint color to clothes.

  14. Danielle Johnson

I love this sunscreen. I’ve used it every day for 2 years. I love it so much that it replaced foundation when I want to do my make up. I just use this and colorscience’s spf contour sticks and it really looks like I used traditional make up but it’s all spf! The only thing I don’t love is the price but the quality is unmatched. I’ve tried to find cheaper tinted mineral sunscreens but the texture and tint are never as good. It’s not thick at all which makes it very easy to spread and a little goes a long way. A bottle lasts me 2-3 months when I apply it daily with 2-3 reapplications a day. I have melasma (a very annoying type of hyperpigmentation) and the orange-ish tint that it has does a great job of camouflaging those spots. I personally use a cheaper tinted sunscreen on my neck to make it last a bit longer but this will forever be my go to sunscreen for my face.

  15. SuperduperD

I really hoped I would not like this as much as the Cerave tinted SPF because of how much more expensive this product is, but this is just better on my skin and has far superior bottle. I do reapply when I’m in the sun for hours, but my face hasn’t burned at all. It goes on silky smooth, has somewhat of a matte finish, but leaves my face feeling so soft and looking like I have a filter on. The Cerave on the other hand had a greasy looking finish and settled into my fine lines and wrinkles showcasing them rather than hiding them like this does. Foundations always did that too so I’ve never been one to wear make up, but this stuff looks like it evens out my skin so well. Also the Cerave container and dispenser is terrible, it’s like an innie belly button and creates a mess no matter how bad I try to keep it clean whereas this bottle has an outtie belly button like dispenser and there is no mess. I love it for all these reasons. However the smell is pretty awful to me. It’s like motor oil or formaldehyde or something. That smell doesn’t linger beyond application so I just ignore it since I’m pleased with the results.

This seems to do well with protecting your skin from sun damage. I like how it blends in with the color of skin so you don’t look pasty. I would encourage you to be careful when applying it if you’re wearing light colored clothing!! I applied some to my neck while I was wearing a teal colored sun shirt and the collar is now stained with a little of the tint. It’s not a dressy shirt, so it doesn’t matter much to me, but I can see this easily staining other clothing that you wouldn’t want that to happen to.

  17. Len

I have written several reviews about this brand now. I use this tinted sunscreen every other day, rotating with yet another La Roche tinted sunscreen lotion. I have a very oily face, and this is great for me. I use blush and some powder, and I’m ready to go. It will hold all day. There is one important thing—it will transfer to your clothes, and when you get it on your white shirt, you will have to bleach it.

  18. Nata

Super light application. It’s the perfect glow you want for a youthful look throughout the day while protecting your skin. Big fan of how it goes into the skin and evens out my skin tone. It’s the make up on your face when you dont want to wear makeup.

  19. Cameron

I use this after my normal face lotion because I tend to have dry skin. But omg I love the glow and sun protection it provides. I am super low maintenance, have a newborn baby and get up very early for work. I love that I can just slap this on my face and run out the door and look great. I get complimented on my skin and I am only 3 month PP and not really sleeping. Get it, you wont regret it.

  20. Charla

Found this sunscreen when I realized that I needed to use a daily sunscreen due to using Azeliac acid. It’s mineral based and has a light tint to it. I found that a little goes a long way and it does not get too greasy and/or heavy. It sits lightly on my face and doesn’t break me out. Now…the price point is ridiculously high but I think it will last for awhile. Still would be best if they could lower the cost! Impressed with this product thus far!

  21. Sarah Durall

I always burn on my nose and get a little pink on my forehead, I applied this everyday on a cruise and didn’t burn at all! It has a nice coverage that brightened my face versus washing me out with a white coating.

  22. Momof4boys

As I have aged, my skin has changed and the full coverage foundation that I’ve worn for years looks patchy and dry. After some research, I chose to try this one. I absolutely love it! It’s not full coverage but I have discovered that it provides a much fresher, natural look.I don’t need very much to cover my face which makes the bottle last longer. The cost is worth it, in my opinion

  23. Ray

This product does not really clog my pores, leaves a beautiful finish, has good coverage, and looks like skin! I tried this one and the color science tinted spf. I preferes this one as it worked great with my skin. There was a level 3 comedogenic ingredient, but my dry and kind of sensitive skin doesn’t seem to mind it. I’ve been using it for 3-4 months now! Only con is that it’s not super moisturizing.

My dermatologist had me switch to a mineral sunscreen after a bad reaction to Aveeno and recommended La Roche Posay. I was a bit skeptical at first if it would leave a residue like other mineral sunscreens but was pleasantly surprised when it didn’t. This has been the best sunscreen so far – lightweight and feels great on my skin. I would highly recommend this product.

  25. Aly

So I ordered this product and was skeptical bc of the reviews of the orange tint but for me it was a perfect match. Id say i’m slightly tan and it matches. I figured out that rubbing the product in lightly then patting it works the best. I used setting powder and a powder blush so it didn’t pill. It stayed for an entire day and got a little shiny which is completely normal for normal-oily skin types. It’s important to note that a little goes a long way for this product. oh and it goes on a bit oily but it sets after a couple of minutes and you can make it look matte with setting powder.

My dermatologist always has a little bucket of samples that you can pick from at checkout & one day I grabbed this after my skin check. I felt like such a winner at grabbing the right sample the very first time I tried this. I LOVE this product & have turned all my friends onto it too. It’s silky smooth, gives the right amount of moisture & doesn’t affect your makeup application but gives you the spf 50 you need while feeling weightless. I’ve never used another facial sunscreen that looked so good & also made my skin still feel clean & bare. I hate a lot of product, so when I found this, I fell in love. I absolutely will not travel without it. & if I’m not going to wear any makeup at all, this beautiful protection is still on my face. 10 out of 10 will continue to buy for years to come. It’s the best!

  27. Cathlene

It took a few days to get used to the liquid texture of this sun screen but I absolutely love it now! Applies smoothly and stays put all day. Works well under makeup or to use as a light foundation. Coverage is light but is blurs very nicely. After almost a month of use my skin has not shown any irritation, acne, etc. If anything my skin looks better than ever. Would highly recommend- I have tried a lot of sun screens and this is the one I will be sticking with!

  28. golfereen

I like this product very much. It’s very easy to put on and the color seems to match my complexion quite well. It seems very thin and so I’m not sure how good the sun protection is, but it says SPF50. Other products that have this same SPF rating seem to require quite a bit of product. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the small amount does the job.

Goes on thin and shiny, turns matte in a couple of minutes. A bit darker-golden than my winter skin color. Expect it to match summer color. Small bottle, will use over top of Posay 100 block as a ‘blur’ item instead of powder. If applied like regular (thick) sunblock, I’d be out in no time. Unused to trusting thin consistency for high altitude protection although reviews are encouraging. Calming on sensitive skin.UPDATE – I layered this over Toleraine Double Repair Face Cream, then LRP 100 Block (those 2 don’t pill), when I added LRP Tinted Sunscreen 50 over it pilled gummy rolls like wild! It didn’t pill when used it alone (no double repair or 100 block), doesn’t pill if mixed with 100 block over double repair. Something (new products: Toleraine Eye Cream, Tinted Sunscreen, Lipkar Face-Body Wash) is causing raised red patch just below eye area . . . I’d like to love this but there are combinations that don’ work. Now to try it in actual sun.

I’d like to preface this with my skin is just as sensitive as my sense of smell is. I absolutely love this brand for both of those reasons first and foremost. I have used this tinted moisturizer for a little over a year now and have finally committed to adding other products into my regimen. I love how hydrating it its and how it glides on so effortlessly! There are no smears or bubbles/bumps, it’s just sheer coverage that magically blends your skin tone to be even and look like you’re not wearing anything at all. I’m a mom of 4 so sometimes I’m last to get ready. On those days, this gem works by itself and paired with a little blush or bronzer it’s a finished look. Living in Ohio, it was really put to the test on vacation to Florida. There, I was really able to see it do magic. My face some days was the only thing with sunscreen and it showed. ONE application all day long and while I did get sun, I didnt get as much as the rest of me did. Protect your skin and potentially damaging UV rays by using this product, seriously! It’s definitely an investment for the price, however the quality is amazing and you get so much more than UV protection… you get reassurance and confidence and a healthy glow you’re in control of!

Loved the texture and as someone who is super sensitive (so sensitive that I have had courses of prednisone/steriods to survive the rashes and reactions to things labeled ‘sensitive skin’ et al…), this one refreshingly did not cause my skin to react BUT… it unfortunately is too dark and orange-y for very light skin like mine. Also, as one who is by profession very picky about color and accuracy (literally, this is what I teach and do as a professor teaching and in my work as a long time professional in the entertainment and creative industries), they over compensated re color on this one. This one (like some of the other new similar ones by these better manufacturers) is too dark AND incorrectly undertoned. For so long, these manufacturers made these tinted mineral sunscreens way too light making it impossible to use for darker skin. Now more than a few have begun to try and fix that but they now have overcompensated AND ended up as well making the same mistake makeup manufacturers of the past made (incorrect undertone). So, as wonderful as this product’s texture and purity is, the color is just not good enough for me and the undertone is too warm (they failed to consider how the skin would look as the product sat on it for awhile and warmed up).Warm undertoned skins may therefore end up looking orange after some hours wearing this and very light colored skin and those who are prone to redness may especially find themselves looking like they just spent a day in the sun.Very disappointing as the texture is fabulous indeed and it truly is one that at least for me did not cauxe my skin to ‘scream’ and complain! I hope they really humble themselves and take some advice from truly expert colorists and makeup artists such as Ms. Brown, Nars, and we who actually have MFAs and Ph.D’s in such stuff. If the manufacturer is reading this, I hope it truly reaches out and accepts help getting this color issue right. It is possible but you need to take advice from the color experts vs. just whoever thinks they’re the expert du jour.

I bought this tinted sunscreen for May when we head out for vacation. Obviously, I had to test it and make sure there wouldn’t be an issue with the product as a whole. And there were no issues. I shook the product up and per the instructions. Removed the cap and made a thin line on my forehead about 1.5″ long. Then, 1 thin line under each eye and a thin line from my left cheek down to my chin and around to my right cheek. It sounds like a lot but the product is just barely thicker than water. I used my fingers lightly to start smearing the product around quickly, covering my jaw and down my neck, up to my temple area, under my eyes, my nose and everywhere it would be visible to others and also to make sure there were no uneven spots or product that got caught in hairs on the sideburn area. Then, I continued with my forehead and hairline. This product is very similar to another product I used that was made by a company that produces hair products that starts with a G. They stopped producing the tinted sunscreen and went to a cream paste, which is greasy and sucks. This product is very thin, dries like powder but needs a few minutes to settle in before it really matches your skin tone. I’m a mix between porcelain and ivory. A little red at times and sometimes look a little colorless. I’m anemic so my skin tone tends to be a little uneven and often very pale. No powder is required with this. You can use it as regular foundation and continue applying your makeup as usual but I found this product to be light as powder, soft on the skin, and not cakey. Perfect really for light day wear and even ladies that are transitioning from their 30’s into their 40’s and beyond. I found that this product even allowed my natural rosy cheeks to stand out a little and didn’t apply anything except a brown mascara to lightly tint my eyelashes and a lightly tinted chapstick. I was ready in less than 10 minutes. It was nice to have my old routine back. If you have blemishes, this would not cover them. I’m going back to buy more. Not only is it great for protecting our skin from the sun but it looks great as makeup. To note: I have very sensitive skin. I’m even on medication for severe psoriasis and it can tend to make your skin sensitive to water temps. *trust me, it sucks* I did not experience any burning, rashes, or have any issues concerning my skin. This product is very gentle.

t Ever!. I love this tinted sunscreen so much. I’m not sure I have ever loved a skin product more. It offered me great sun protection while on vacation hanging out on the beach, walking around sweating and swimming. It stayed on well, went on smoothly, never ran into my eyes, didn’t make my eyes sting, or anything like that. For reference, I’m about as white as they get and the color looked great and I didn’t get sunburnt at all.

a sample of this and just loved it, so I started doing my research in finding the best price. It’s a little pricey for a small bottle, but you don’t need a lot. It is a thinner liquid, so it goes on easy. It has just the right amount of tint, so I don’t use foundation with it. I love the way it looks and, living in the Florida sunshine, the sunscreen is a must.I found Amazon, with free shipping to have the best price. I’m guessing it will last about 3 months.

ng sensitive skin. This product is my go to for warm weather face sunscreen. I use it as a sun protective and as a lightweight foundation. Many sunscreens break out my face and this one does not! Plus the added tint is just perfect for those the summer days when you only want to put on minimal makeup.

I’ve been wearing this daily for 3+ years. I use it instead of foundation. It matches my skin tone very well (warm toned fair). Need to look in my magnifying mirror to make sure I applied evenly… but other than that it provides a natural glow and very thorough sun protection all day. Keeping my skin protected without grease in a natural way is priceless. One bottle lasts for over 6 months.
