Good size, easy to use, multiple settings for different materials,

I live in Florida, and it’s perfect for sliding across the wall, checking for minor roof leaks during storms.

Going around outside and testing various pieces of wood on structures, fences reveals the importance of protecting wood with paint or stain to keep it from drawing moisture. This tool is so useful, I have used it at least a dozen times since I purchased it a few months ago.

Super easy to use. Convenient and accurate

This works great! Bought it because I smelled mold in the house and within minutes I discovered that we had a leak in the shower and it detected it through the tile floor. It also reads through hardwood floor and walls.

Seems to work fine (have to assume it is correct so checked 3 stars for accuracy) however, the battery included did not work. When installed there was a clicking noise when I pressed start. I put in a different battery and it turned on immediately. Easy to operate and to read.

use was soaked – INSIDE!. I bought this because of a disaster. I had actually two contractors, because the first got fired half way through, who didn’t cover my roof for almost a whole month during down pours and snow. My house was literally raining inside! I showed the “project manager” whom I thought was the contractor how much water was running down my walls. This is the space in my living room between two windows. He said, “what does OL mean?” Really? “OVERLOAD”. It is overloaded with water! I just laid my hand on the wall and showed him all the water on my hand. Do you know what his response was? “It’s our of my scope of work”. This happened January/February of 2021. I am actually sitting here in paperwork up to the ceiling ready to go fight this head on to the lead people in charge of this program in Washington DC.. No lawyer or contractor will help. Long story and I can’t say much. But it is showing proof that my house is ruined. It is a very expensive home renovation loan.

5 stars because the price was great especially considering It’s made by Klein tools. I loveee my Klein tools, and I own a lot of them. Functionality & features are so easy and nothing confusing or unnecessary about it. Looks great. Seems consistent with the readings it gives ( testing the same area multiple times for instance, you’ll get the same reading, and some might say well duh..but sh!tty tools give likewise Consistency. I can’t tell you how accurate it is, because I only know What’s the tools reads to me, but this style of meter is supposed pretty darn accurate, and I have no reason to believe it’s not. I love the scale it shows, from green to yellow, orange and then red Which All have corresponding percentage values, when it hits red, it gives an audible beep alert. You can pause the reading I believe. I was surprised at how light it was, I usually like all my tools to feel solid and durable but it didn’t bother me. It’s made of strong plastic or nylon, and I’m sure it could handle being dropped and tossed around. Unfortunately I lost this tool over a year ago Probably in a crawlspace ( I’m an HVAC contractor and do lots of residential crawlspace work also). A friend gave me his Ryobi moisture meter, same non-probe style as the Klein. I loved the Klein much more, although They operate similarly. I am going to order another Klein right now, and that’s why im leaving a review right now, a year later. And if I lose this second one, I’ll be buying a third one. Good tool great price. 5 stars
