I have oily skin and while the texture is a thick balm like moisturizer, it did feel protective and moisturizing but I only use it at night with only a small amount. It did help my barrier from irritation but at times it felt too heavy that I would skip using it some days to let my skin breathe. This might be different if you’re skin is more dry and might benefit it more, unless you have very very dry skin as you might need to layer other products underneath to hydrate and then this to “seal” it in. I didn’t reach for this often and for the price, I wouldn’t get this again once I finish it.If this is in your budget and you really want to try this, I would get it off their website since they have it on sale for much less.

Obsessed with this product. For a daily moisturizer, it’s a little pricey but it’s well worth the money. I used to struggle with dry flakey skin and breakouts and this product has made all the difference. My skin has never looked so good and this has been the only difference in my routine. Very rich formula that leaves the skin feeling very hydrated and plump but it absorbs fast and wears great under makeup. Will buy it again and again.

This Kiehl’s ultra facial advanced repair barrier cream is really hydrating. It’s creamy, and it feels nice on my skin when I apply it. It really helps with the dry patches that I get on certain areas of my face. Like my chin and forehead. It gets rid of dry flakes, and it makes my skin soft and smooth. It also calms my skin when it’s irritated.

This is an incredibly hydrating cream. It actually repairs dry skin, it doesn’t just hydrate it. I got some dry patches on my face that wouldn’t go away permanently. Using a good moisturizer would seem to take them away, but if I skipped an application or went into a harsh environment (like a windy beach day) they’d come right back. Using this Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Advanced Repair Barrier Cream seems to actually have repaired my skin, not just hydrate it. I happened to have this with me when I had lunch with a friend. She gets hands that crack and peel because of the need for repeated handwashing in her job. She asked if I happened to have lotion and I offered her this Kiehl’s explaining that it’s actually a face cream. She used it nonetheless, commenting about how nice it felt and how it didn’t irritate her chapped hands. She even texted later to find out what it was so she could order some for herself. Yes, this is a bit pricey. But it’s not something you have to use indefinitely.

Amazing barrier cream moisturizer! I accidentally “over-cleansed” and broke my skin barrier so my skin was flaking. I put this on and within 3 days my skin was back to normal. The first day I did have to re-apply this about 3 times because my skin was extremely dry, but it did the job well. I could already see the cream doing it’s magic by day 2. Also when my skin is that dry, it tends to hurt when I put on any cream (even my own sweat was irritating my skin) but I had no issues with that, potentially because of the colloidal oatmeal.The skin experience is like a balm and it soaks very easily into the skin. Thick moisturizers tend to feel like your skin is being weighed down, but I didn’t feel it with this one.The only funny note is that is it made of a thick plastic tube, so when you are squeezing the product out and there is an air pocket, it WILL make some “fart” sounds LOL.Overall would recommend and repurchase again.

I genuinely appreciate this product for its effectiveness. Having sensitive skin that tends to break out easily, I’ve had positive experiences with certain Kiehl’s products. so, I decided to give this cream a try.The texture is balm-like, and it feels like relief upon application. It doesn’t leave behind heavy or greasy sensation, you won’t find it peeling off of your skin later. Helps me keep my skin hydrated without triggering any issues, unlike some other brands I’ve tried. Overall, I’m super pleased.
