My camper came with all the coax unhooked. There were like 7 unlabeled connections behind the radio and DVD player. With this, I was able to put the tone generator on each wire and walk around testing different outlets with the other part until I had identified and labeled each wire. Now all my TV’s work. This job has been impossible in the past. I didn’t know this existed and wish I had found it years ago. Now it’s in the toolbox for future repairs.

It works very well but with no instructions included I had to figure out how it works. It took a while to do this with another piece of coax. Simple instructions would make it much easier.

This is a great tool to quickly find a cable end when you have multiple connections outside

Works exactly like stated. Found my cable line needed in less than 10 seconds and that was trying to figure out 10 different lines!

This is all I need for in a toner as a field technician. It just needs one AA battery! Other toners require odd size batteries that are more expensive. Unless you prefer it to be a half an inch shorter in length. This is a decent price for a replacement. Haven’t had an issue with it toning so far, unless there is a splitter in the way.

I figured out how to use it by trial and error, but the packaging contains no instructions on use. It does what it is supposed to, but they really should include some very basic instructions.

Good tester for coax cable. Used it to rearrange the various coax runs in my house. Easy to use & read.

I almost invented this since I needed to trace a bunch of coax cables. On a whim I checked Amazon and sure enough someone had already filled the need, saving me from having to cobble something together.Works perfectly and a nice convenient form factor for the pocket.

Works as it should. As a cable tech I go through one of these every year due to loss or damage. I like the jonard brand better than some of the other cheaper ones, it seems sturdier and well made for the price. I don’t buy the expensive ones so I don’t feel bad if I lose it or break it.

while not particularly sophisticated, this tool helped me identify several connections to hook up my attic antenna. There must be 12 coax lines in the attic, and this tool made it very easy to identify each line. Not very complicated, easy to use, and better than any other alternative that I looked at.

quickly located the problem. (A bad splitter) saved me a ton of time attempting to locate the problem with my multimeter. This one is a really good tool.

I’ve always had one of these since I’m all around Tech and when toning or troubleshooting a single line this makes your life a lot easier. But I just got one on August 20th and it’s already broken. I’m guessing most likely the speaker but it didn’t even make it to three months. He’ll it didn’t even give me a chance to loose it, which is what happened to my previous ones. Just sucks that it didn’t even lasted at all. But good tool to have.

eeded to find the main incoming coax for new cable Internet hookup. I had separated other coax cables for over the air antenna. This small tool was able to tone the cables for me. Mine came in the blister package with female adapter and battery. You do need the female adapter since all my connections were male.Great little tool without spending a fortune. At work we use Fluke meters, this is great for home.
