Great tool, couldn’t go back to not having one. Helps so much to determine if it’s a trailer or truck problem. Or if you want to test to see if the cable is bad, plug it into the truck and make sure the power is being sent to the socket, plug the cable back in, and then plug the tester into the other end of the cable. Now it’s not good for testing low voltage that can still light up one light on a tester, but for just testing to see if power is making to the trailer it works great. Very convenient. Yes, you could just use a test light, but it’s so much easier to plug it in as well as still being able. Plus it gives you a more layman’s way to show customers that for example the problem is the truck and not the trailer.

Great tool I use it all the time. tool helps you to quickly pin point whether there is a issue from the truck or trailer side of the lighting electrical system. Compared to my co-workers snap on version only obvious difference was a snap on logo and the significantly different pricing. Have had many truck drivers and other mechanics tell me they have never seen such a tool. Most of which say they are going to get one now. Have had it for a few months now and use it almost every day, so far it has held up. still looks brand new with no issues in functionality.
