They are very sturdy and perfect for testing for a short circuit in ac systems one 3amp and one 5amp to keep you from going through a whole box of fuses till you find the short

Tried to use both the 3 and 5 amp units while tracking down a low-voltage short. Smoked 2 transformers. They never tripped. Tried using a regular fuse after, and it burned out like it was supposed to. These are junk. Haven’t had a cause to use them until now, unfortunately passed the return date. Chinese crap.

Helps you save fuse if you are trying to find a fault. I use them for HVAC.

These testers save you from buying fuses if you have a short or overload on an HVAC system. Plug one of these in where fuse goes (24 volts) it can pop and be reset if there is a problem. Most of the time you would use the 5 amp but there is also a 3 amp if needed. Without this you would have to replace a fuse everytime one blows until problem is found.

I usually carry one of the smaller circuit breaker Transformers but it overheats quickly and has to cool down for quite some time between trips. These do not seem to have as much of a problem with that and you have the three and five amp version. Huge Time Saver for low voltage diagnostics.

Works great in helping me troubleshoot. Good to keep on the truck. Got both the 5 and 3 amp in the kit for the same price as one. Really good value

Mmm Hmmm –
I saw another review asking about the UL rating, but it’s right there in the product details and they came with the UL sticker on them, so I’m happy. I’ve bought tools from this brand before and they’re always a really good value. These are sturdier than ones I’ve used in the past and they come with the leads already made up so you can just plug it right into the board. Cost was about what I would have paid for just the 3A tester, so I basically got the 5A one for free, it’s a great deal. I definitely like buying HVAC Guys stuff.

I read the other review that says it is not UL rated. I was concerned about that, but after research I’m not sure what they are talking about??? UL info is provided in the listing. I confirmed on UL’s website as well. Great value! Best I have seen. This combo has you fully covered as you get both the 3A and 5A tester for the same price of others only offering 1.

NOT UL LABELED & LISTED as falsely advertisedThese reset-able push button type circuit breakers are great troubleshooting time and money savers. HOWEVER, THEY ARE NOT UL LABELED & LISTED as falsely advertised. A true UL Labeled & Listed product always has the UL Certificate number whereas these have no such number. Of course, you are only going to use them during troubleshooting keeping them in “line of sight”. If you left these in a circuit and the AHJ spotted them, your jobsite would be shut down and you would be in serious trouble of loosing your license.
