I ordered this because I have some grounding sheets I have had for a while. I stopped using them because I did not think they were really doing anything, especially after having washed them.I recently started using them again and started wondering, again, if they really worked. When I came across this grounding tester I quickly ordered because I wanted to settle this doubt I had.The instructions for use were simple enough but because I didn’t read them I couldn’t get it to work. So, for those of you who are thinking about buying this, just know that you don’t hook it up to the grounding mat, sheet or whatever the grounding equipment you are using. You attach it to the tester unit and then the other end you touch your body with.Now here is the thing, if you only have your hand on the grounding mat the light will still light up (with one hand on the mat or sheet, I hold the tester in my other hand with my finger over the metal testing pad). Or if you have your feet on it, the light will light up quickly. In other words, for the sheets (if you have grounding sheets), your entire body doesn’t have to be on it.Another thing. At first I was a little dismayed as when I would touch my leg or arm it wouldn’t light up even if I had my hand or feet on the mat/sheet, but if I touched the metal pad with my finger it would light up. I couldn’t understand why the rest of my body wasn’t grounded. But what I found is that while the tester will instantly light up when you touch the metal part with your finger, it takes a little more time for the grounding to reach the rest of your body I guess. So if you wait awhile and then touch any other part of your body with the tester, it will light up. I hope this isn’t sounding confusing. The most important thing is that the tester works.With all that being said, now that I KNOW the sheets and the mats are grounding me, I’m starting to question the effectiveness and benefits of grounding.Anyway, while this tester looks a bit on the cheap side, it works. It is lightweight and is easy to hold. The cord is long so you shouldn’t have an issue plugging it in anywhere. I’m really happy I ordered this.

Where is the Safe-T-Plug(splitter)?????… missing part… this product needs a video supplied by manufacturer..
