It held my dads shoe to the floor as he slept very well. I Do NOT recommend ever doing that . he was not a happy man when he fell.

Got this to glue a patch of latex canvas onto a sleepnumber bed to cover a pinhole leak. Ended up applying it a bit incorrectly and it bubbled a bit, but with some fine tuning it worked out perfectly. Where I messed up, was that I had to hold the patch in place for a few minutes to get it to set before I could leave it and the glue got all over my hands. I then touched door knobs, soap dispensers, cabinet pulls and more in my attempt to clean it off and even used hand sanitizer thinking that would work but it did the opposite. Ended up having to use a very very fine sandpaper to sand off the tacky feel that was left on my hands so that I could type on my laptop. So my tip is to wear gloves any and all times you use this glue, you will save yourself time and headache trying to remove any residue left on your hands.

Likes: Love the adhesion once it’s dry- dries like a rock and can hold light weights wellDislikes: Glue bubbles up, isn’t clear (it’s a tan/light brown color and bubbled in appearance) and you have to hold the surfaces together for 2 hours to form the bond/adhesionUse: I used this to glue a shelf in a DIY greenhouse in my apartment. Once the glue dried, it works great and stays in place BUT I had to find some way to hold up the shelf on the glue for two hours without completely deconstructing the greenhouse so that wasn’t expected. Now holds up plants great though

I had initially bought this glue to secure some of the toppers on my white fence in preparation for Hurricane Ian. Having used gorilla glue in the past, I expected the glue to do a good job securing them and trusted they would be safe during the storm. What I did not expect was to realize that the people who did work on my house failed to seal the baseboards on one side of the house, causing us to have water seeping in from the outside during the storm. With the massive amount of rain, flooding was very possible and after using every single towel, dish rag, and bath mat in my house. It hit me: the gorilla glue. Now, I know nothing about how to handle concrete, seals, or any real type of around the house work. I was not built for that BUT I thought “my house is taking on water, my power is off and I’m hot, and the storm is annoyingly slow, so truly… what do I really have to lose?” I got what was left of the bottle and placed the glue along the baseboards where I could and waited for it to set. While it did not completely stop the water, it significantly slowed it down and prevented a lot of it from coming into the house. The glue held up throughout the night and we were able to significantly prevent our house from potentially flooding and taking on an incredibly damaging amount of water. When I had initially gotten the gorilla glue and told people about it in terms of hurricane prep, they laughed and said I put too much faith in gorilla glue and doubted what it could actually do. Well… here we are. My house remained mostly dry AND all of the fence toppers I glued down withstood 80 mph winds so how’s that for faith? I never write reviews but figured this experience warranted one. Hopefully you don’t have the use it in the same situations that I did but just know it’s resilient and worth the small amount of money it costs. I’ll be a gorilla glue stan for life now. And in addition to telling them a NUMBER of other things, if I ever come across the people who worked on my house, I’ll make sure to suggest to THEIR use of gorilla glue moving forward.
