The Vivoactive 5 is a nice upgrade from the 4S battery which life was not very good after 3 years of daily wear.Positives: Bigger screen, faster response to inputs, Nice bright colors. Nice wrist band, light weight and comfortable. Plenty of watch faces and useful apps. Easy to customize the screens and each screen is very readable. So far battery life impressive. Negatives. The 2 buttons could be a little more responsive. Original letters on opening screen were comic book in style. Some third party watch faces have limited options. The manual is not the best but I am still learning the functionality of watch.Over all I am pleased with the 5 and glad I purchased it.

Love it. I use to have an apple watch and didn’t like it had problems with the battery but this Garmin is amazing. Battery last several days, tracks my activity, night sleep and water intake. Nice for my swimming routine and cycling. App with spotify takes a little to download music but works fineIs not heavy at all, I use to hate watches but this one is very light and even looks nice.

My son introduced the Garmin Vivoactive 5 fitness smartwatch with gps to me over dinner. I was amazed because it sounded like an Apple Watch but with more health tracking features and no current subscription needed. So I gave it a shot and got one.During my first week with it, I am astounded and excited about the features.Pairing it with my iPhone automatically relieved me of caring the iPhone everywhere I go. Unlike the iPhone it tracks every step without having the iPhone on me. Along with my heart rate, stress levels, sleep patterns, naps, etc. The battery life is much longer than average. With no current subscription required it was a one time payment sweet deal!Overall I like the accuracy, functionality, and display quality.

It is a comfortable watch to wear, it is easy to read, and there are many choices for watch faces and other ways customize it. It is a great motivator for becoming more active and getting better sleep. It helps prioritize overall self-care. The watch arrived quickly and it perfect shape. Be sure to measure your wrist size before ordering a new fitness watch. This one fits me perfectly. Great purchase! By the way, I wear it for water aerobics classes, and it holds up great (waterproof). Long battery life too. Easy to connect to phone and a user-friendly app. It seems to be tracking everything accurately. I thought the price was right, too. I have not yet tried syncing music to it, so no report yet on music sound quality. I got the Vivoactive 5 with a white band with gold trim…very pretty and goes with everything!

Fit: I have very small wrists – about 6.25” circumference – especially for a guy. I was initially concerned that the larger face versus the Vivoactive 4S might look clunky. But it is thinner and sits closer on the wrist, so it’s actually better. Sleeves don’t catch as easily and it’s very comfortable.Display: The AMOLED display is sharp and vibrant – very easy to read. I like that I can set it to stay on all the time so that I can glance at the time like a regular watch. In low power mode the watch face is still very clear.Features: Sleep tracking is as good as the Fitbit I used to have, maybe better. Fitness tracking and activities are easy to use and seem quite accurate. Heart rate monitoring accuracy is reasonably close to the Polar chest strap.Battery life: I charge it every few days, and I don’t think it has ever gone below 45%. Usually on the second or third day, it’s around 60% or 70%. With the display always on and other features active, I don’t think I’d get 11 days between charges, but that rating assumes you’re just in smart watch mode all the time. Battery life is more than adequate.Overall, a very good smart watch/fitness monitor. I like simple, straightforward design and features, and this one is great!

Well it is finally charging day so a great time to leave my review for my Vivoactive 😁I’ve been using the Garmin Vivoactive 5 for a while now, and it has truly exceeded my expectations in several key areas. One of the standout features for me is the impressive battery life. It’s amazing not having to worry about constant charging, especially during long workouts or busy days. The comfort and lightness of the watch make it a joy to wear all day. It’s so lightweight that I often forget I have it on. The design is sleek and minimal, adding to the overall comfort and making it suitable for any occasion.Ease of use is another big win for the Vivoactive 5. Navigating through the menus and accessing different features is incredibly intuitive. Even the built-in coach feature, although I haven’t explored it fully yet, adds another layer of functionality that I’m excited to try in the future. The activity and sleep tracking capabilities have been a game-changer for me. It’s like having a personal assistant dedicated to my health and fitness goals. I particularly appreciate the accurate rep count during workouts – it’s a small detail that makes a big difference in my training routine. One aspect that sets this model apart for me is the absence of calls and texts. It helps me stay focused on my activities without unnecessary distractions. It’s a thoughtful inclusion that aligns perfectly with my fitness mindset. However, if I were to nitpick, the only area I find lacking is the variety of watch bands. I hope Garmin considers introducing more fun and interchangeable bands in the future. It would be a fantastic way to customize the look and feel of the watch.Overall, the Garmin Vivoactive 5 is a fantastic product that has seamlessly integrated into my daily life. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and packed with features that enhance my fitness journey. I’m excited to see what future updates and band options Garmin has in store. Highly recommended!
