I was afraid that some of my Outlets were not working well in my new apartment, and this showed me which ones were not grounded well. Well worth the money only a few dollars to be secure that your Outlets are not going to fry anything or God forbid catch fire.

Worked as promised. Handy for quick checks on new installs and existing receptacles.

These outlet receptacle testers should be available at home and at work. They are perfect for determining whether a tool or appliance is failing due to a lack of power at the outlet. They will also let you know if the outlet is wired wrong or has had a shorting failure. I have one in my basement, home, workshop, and garage. I use them multiple times a year. Five Stars.

im an electrician and i do most of my work in non-residential settings. most receptacles are installed ground-up (upside down) for safety so being able to read the instructions from the underside of the tester is a big bonus. its durable and comfortable to grip too.

Not a review per se, but a shout out for an inexpensive tool that does what you need it to. I needed a tool to determine if my circuits were all grounded properly. I just plug it in and immediately know the results. Can’t see why you’d want to pay more if that’s all you need.

very handy in an rv when you are unsure of your plugs in.

Outlet/GFCI tester is easy to use & read. Use it everyday as an RV Tech to test customers units.

This is such a great product! Inexpensive way to save sanity when your circuit breaker isn’t accurate or clear with the labels. Simply plug in the unit into an outlet (not GFI), and if the two lights to the right are amber… the outlet is functioning correctly. Press the black button to trip the circuit. Then you can verify on the breaker… as the toggle will be in the tripped position.Definitely recommend this!!!!!!

What’s there to say other than this is a great little device to test out your GFI outlet. Its super easy to use and it analyzes your circuit accurately.

You can read this whether your outlets are pointed “up” (ground on top), or “down” (bottom ground). And his has a printed legend on top (where the GFI check button is) and on the bottom. It’s well made, and easy to grip. I wish the color were a bit brighter, it’s a dark shade of red. But that’s nitpicking.

Excellent

Only downside are the color codes… they should just have coded it as on-off light instead of colors that are difficult to read

The guy who did my home inspection told me to buy one of these, had a few outlets the had reverse polarity in them, black wire was where the white should have been.

Got to test outlets after changing them out from outdated ones and make sure everything was working as intended. No issues and works well.

Inexpensive, functions correctly. Text with descriptions of the light combinations is poorly done and very difficult to decipher.

This tester does exactly what is needed and something that I wish I had purchased early as it takes the guesswork out of troubleshooting GFI outlets. Very easy to use and read.
