I have very sensitive eyes so finding a mascara that doesn’t leave my eyes feeling scratchy, tired and dry has been a struggle. I also have a hand tremor which often means I end up with eye makeup strewn across my face. The spoolie brush is so long (neccessary to be able to reach the bottom of the tube) that I had no way to stabilize my hand. It was mess. 2 coats had my eyelids so heavy I couldn’t wait to get it off my eyes.

I absolutly love this mascara!! What a relief to find something so good!! First off…I really love the tube itself…the handle is so easy and comfortable and stays in your hand. The brush is perfect and just what I was hoping for!! Now for the test….It applies beautifully and makes me look like I have tons of big lashes!! It last and no flaking or smearing!!! Yay!! Just a bit of soap to get off…it actually stays on and looks good for hours!!! I am sooooo happy and absolutly recommend trying it for yourself!!! Most of all…I was looking for a cruelty free product!! No animal should suffer in the making of cosmetics!!

I object to buying something based on the amazon description as “brown”, I wanted BROWN. The product itself is called “black brown”, taking a small smudge on my hand and smearing it reveals it is not your typical “black brown” (if there is a typical, because it varies wildly). It does actually appear brown on my hand and is not harsh looking on my eyes.The formula is wet, the brush is really OK, so I will use it, will wait until I know how it wears before I buy again though. IF it doesn’t flake, spread, or do that weird thing some mascaras do I call “shrink” (looks good for a little while then seems to disappear), I will buy again.

I really like this Mascara! I found it extremely easy to apply and it did not clump or flake on my lashes. It has a great ‘false lash’ effect that is really beautiful and still very natural looking. I am so happy with the results. I like that it is a clean product and safe for sensitive eyes. And bonus, the actual mascara tube is very colorful and pretty … easy to find in my bag, and actually makes me happy just looking at it! I’ve worn high end mascaras and I’ve worn drug store mascaras and everything in between, and I must say this is a very GOOD mascara, and now my ‘new favorite’! I’ve always preferred Brown mascara over Black because it is a color which works well with my Hazel eyes. I think it’s a softer look, and I love Essence mascara because you can easily add an extra layer…or two. Essence is a really great mascara that really lengthens your lashes. Now let’s talk about the BRUSH! I detest straight mascara brushes. I have almond shaped eyes & have always preferred a Curled Lash Brush which I find much easier to work with. That’s why I’ve used your Black Mascara with the Curled Brush. Please rethink a Curled Brush for the Brown Mascara. It’s needed, because there are not many great & affordable Brown Mascara’s out there. So Marketing Department, Please, Please change to a Curled Brush & you will have a customer for life! Thank you. I saw this on someone’s page during Prime Days and since it was so inexpensive, I decided to try it. I really like this mascara. I wear contacts and it doesn’t flake off, and it makes me look like I have eyelashes. Not the fake kind, just lush eyelashes. It does tend to clump up, but just another sweep with the brush and it takes care of that. I highly recommend.

I’ve hit the jackpot with a mascara that works magic on my lashes! My blonde lashes were playing hide-and-seek, and no mascara seemed to bring them out to play. Failing at the false lash game, I decided to give this mature women’s mascara a shot. It’s my secret weapon – let’s call it the miracle mascara!

My regular mascara, that makes my lashes look long and stand out, that doesn’t smudge or flake or disappear after two hours, is L’Oreal Telescopic Original ($11 at nearly every drugstore or big box store near me). I’m generally happy with it, although I notice that about two months after I open it, the formula seems to age and it does tend to flake, at which point I just toss the tube and buy another one, and you should probably do that every three months anyway.But I’d read rave reviews for Lash Princess, so I thought I’d give it a shot. I will not be raving about it.If it works for you, it works for you and that’s great, and it’s so cheap that you probably should try it even if it doesn’t work; at least then you’ll know.It does coat and lengthen my lashes, which are of average length, decent thickness, but STRAIGHTTTTT and won’t hold a curl even when I try all the tricks (and trust me, I’ve tried a lotta tricks: heating the lash curler, moving the curler successively up the lashes, starting near the lash line, wiggling the mascara wand, powdering the lashes before curling, applying mascara before curling, using waterproof mascara, lining the upper waterline…). That is, mascara sometimes lengthens my lashes but doesn’t “lift” them so that you can see my lashes when I’m looking straight ahead. Several other generally well-regarded drugstore mascaras have this effect, that you can only see my lashes clearly when I’m looking down. The lashes won’t hold a curl.That’s likely what’s behind the lackluster performance of Lash Princess FOR ME. This product is just meh, barely better than no mascara at all, and I’ll stick with my Telescopic Original, thanks.

Finally mascara that does actually bring out my lashes! My eyelashes have thinned out over the past few years and being blonde, gave the impression I had none. Every mascara I’ve tried went on my lashes but even after several applications just didn’t seem to do much, and I haven’t been able to get the hang of applying false lashes yet. This mascara states it’s fir mature women so I thought I’d give it a try. I call it miracle mascara!

Honestly, I don’t notice a huge difference between this mascara and ones two or three times as expensive. It coats well and lasts decently. It does tend to flake off a little leaving black smudges if you’re a face rubber like me, but thankfully I have good people around me who let me know when I have lines on my face lol. It comes off well with normal cleaning which I like, used to be a real waterproof wearer but now I prefer being able to clean my makeup off without having to try too hard. Is it the most amazing mascara? No. But when I can be happy buying a 3-pack of it for less than a single kind from the store then I’ll keep buying this one.

I like both the brown and black waterproof formulas. My eyes water alot due to allergies from my fur buddies, pollen, mold, or you name it irritants. They have good amount of product on the brush but not so much you get clumps. The brush is a little tapered which helps when applying to shorter lashes. I am used to using 2 different brands to get length and fullness I like, but this brand does it all. My lashes almost look like false lash when I use Essense.

I purchased this mascara based on fabulous reviews. I wanted something less expensive than my go-to brand (which is almost 30 bucks a pop). This seemed like a great option. At first, I really hated it. It clumped my lashes together and looked awful. I had to take a lot of the mascara off of the wand every time I used it. Now that I know to do that, I like it. I think it lengthens and separates my eyelashes, but it doesn’t provide and curve, so you’ll need to use your eyelash curler for sure if you like that rounded look.

I have been searching for years for a mascara that actually works for me. I have short straight lashes and oily skin. No mascara, until I tried this mascara, that enhanced my eyelashes. I was amazed that I could actually see my lashes after using this mascara. I was very excited although I hesitated writing a positive review until I used it a while. It works for me! And I don’t have raccoon eyes! And the price is great!

This is really good mascara, and the best part is the raised silicone design on the wand, because it helps you hold on to the wand while applying it. So if you have dexterity issues, it really helps! I have arthritis really bad in my hands, and it’s hard for me to hold onto to smaller objects. But with the raised silicone on the wand’s handle, holding onto it is a breeze! I will buy again in the future.

With it’s price, you wouldn’t think that this mascara would be nearly as good as it actually is. That being said, the wand could be a little thicker would help with the curl a lot more. The price point is perfect for the quality you receive. The formula is thick, but not heavy. The wand separates my lashes one by one and I haven’t experienced any clumps.

I saw an ad that “suggested” that my lashes would be super long if I used this mascara. So, I wanted to try. OMGOSH! My lashes are like I was a teen again. Even without a lash primer, they look like I have false lashes on. I have this on auto ship so I never run out. HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!OOPS, I forgot to take a pix of the same eye before I put the mascara on, but here is the other eye. SEE THE DIFFERENCE!!!!!!

This mascara is great for a cheap product!! It works as good as the more expensive brands that I have purchased. I do think that each tube doesn’t last quite as long but I don’t mind that when the price is right! There are several varieties of the Essence brand but this False Lash Effect is one of my favorites. Gives great length and volume, and does not flake off like other cheap mascaras. Give it a try!

Love this mascara. It’s so reasonably priced and does a great job. I usually scrape some of the mascara off the wand using the top opening. That way it doesn’t clump when I use it and the extra mascara goes back in the tube when I insert the wand back.

I switched from IT Cosmetics Superhero mascara to the Essence brand mascaras because it was way more affordable! I was amazed at how full and long my lashes were using the Essence brand mascara and it even comes in brown for those like me with blonde hair and very light colored lashes. Highly recommend this product!
