I just purchased a set of Apple Airpods Pro 2. I wanted a case to protect them from day to day drops, scratches, and being tossed around. I use these every day at work. I looked at many cases and read reviews. The design of this case appeared to be what I was looking for. After installing and using the case, here are my observations.1. The case is a perfect fit for the Airpod charging case. It is very snug and all ports, buttons, and speaker holes align.2. The material is heavy-duty silicone rubber, with reinforced corners, that should withstand drops and bumps. The case material is textured, allowing a secure grip. The case has a slot with a carabiner, so the case can be clipped to a backpack or a belt.3. The case is two-piece. The bottom piece slides over the charging case, held on by friction and the tight fit of the material. The top part has an adhesive strip, securing it to the top of the charging case. There is a cutout section, allowing the case hinge to operate without hindrance. The case is very secure.4. There are strong magnets at the corners of the lid, keeping the case securely closed. It takes some pressure to open the case. This is a great design feature and will keep the case lid closed.5. Wireless charging works without problems.6. The case comes with a cleaning brush for the Airpod charging caseMost importantly, the customer service service from the company is outstanding. I had a couple of questions. They were answered within 12 hours. The answers were comprehensive.This case should protect your Airpods without any issues and is a worthwhile investment.

I bought this almost exactly 1 year ago to protect my AirPods from metal chips and scratches it was collecting from working in a machine shop. I am still using the same case, and have had no issues at all.Things I like:• very thick, softish plastic that feels sturdy enough to protect the AirPods.• lid has extra magnets which keep AirPods from opening accidentally. Works perfectly.• Despite having an open slot in the back, no dust or debris get into the case.• Soft plastic material hasn’t gotten any visual imperfections from metal child or solvent. Color hasn’t faded either.• The clip is easy to use, and very sturdy.Things I don’t like:• the magnet on the back is sized a bit awkwardly for MagSafe charging, AirPods get a bit hot but still charges fine.• the magnets do occasionally catch metal chips, but they are easy to wipe off.• a bit thick to just throw into my pocked when I am driving, I usually have to put in in a backpack if I drive anywhere unless I use the clip and wear it on my waist.• rear button is hard to hold down. Even when pushing very hard, it takes a few tries to put the AirPods into pairing mode or reset them.Overall:For this price, get it!!! You can trust your AirPods won’t open up and get lost, won’t get damaged in a fall, and the case won’t come off or get visually damaged when used regularly in more taxing conditions!

As a fair warning, I have only owned this case for a few days now. Also, before I talk about the pros and cons of this ESR Airpods Pro/Pro 2 case, let me introduce the flaws of my old case and why I switched.About my old case: So, the case that I used to use for my Airpods Pro 2 were a faux carbon fiber-design, two tone case with a safety latch design, with opposing magnets that pop open when you release the latch. It was a brilliant and convenient design that was also great for fidgeting with. I feel that I should also mention that this case, though nice, was not compatible with either the Apple Watch or iPhone MagSafe chargers. Anyways, this latch mechanism worked great for a period of about 8 to 10 months. However, after a while of owning the case, I think one of two (or both) things started to happen: the plastic on the latch piece began to wear down slightly, and/or the tensioning mechanism for the latch started to give a little bit. Either way, after a certain duration of ownership, the case began to be a lot more keen on popping open, even when brushing lightly against another object or at times where I didn’t intend to open the case (for reference, I would clip this old case onto the outside of a handbag). It got to a point where it swung open inadvertently and unnoticed while loading a car to go to the airport, and I almost lost my left AirPod had I not had an amazing and available neighbor to scrounge my yard and driveway until it was found. As if that wasn’t bad enough, not long afterwards, I was riding my electric scooter on paved sidewalk when I hit a stiff bump in the road. I continued onwards to my destination to discover that the top part of the case had flown off entirely. That was when I decided to look for a new case.Which brings me to the ESR AirPods Pro/Pro 2 Case. This case is brilliant for a few reasons.*Pros:* Firstly, the top part of the case comes with a small, light adhesive underneath a little plastic flap which you can remove to adhere the top case to the top part of the original Airpods Pro case. This is a brilliant addition and I anticipate that it will help avoid an incident like my electric scooter debacle. The case comes with four magnets on the back which will help it attach perfectly over an iPhone (NOT an Apple Watch) MagSafe charger. And I verified that it does charge the case. This is definitely a nifty feature to have. Instead of a latch with opposing magnets on the top and bottom case, the left and right lips of both the top and bottom cases have attracted magnets which help keep the case tightly closed. This is quite nice and gives me a good amount of confidence that the case will not open during drops.*Cons:* The first and largest gripe that I have with this case is that the product image is not true to the product color. This product is not so much a cooler cypress green as it is a dark army green color. This was the largest disappointment for me. A small nitpick that I have as well is that it takes more force to open the case now, which while good for security, can cause (I anticipate) issues such as knocking the AirPods out of the case with a thumb knuckle when you open it with your thumb in a prying motion.–To conclude, if you have experienced some of the same problems with previous case designs as I detailed, I think you will be very happy with this case. The form factor and MagSafe charging feature are very nice, and I trust that this case will be durable enough to last you a long time. On the flip side, if you have a keen eye for aesthetics and were captivated by the colors on the product page, at least for the green version of this case, you may be pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised depending on whether you prefer cypress greens or more of an army/warm shade of forest green. e is lighter in weight than I expected, but that is good. It seems durable, but I won’t really know that except through use over time. The big plus is that the magnet closure seals as advertised. It does not take any more effort to open it than it does a cap off of a bottle (once it has been opened). I dropped the case once and the air pods remained securely inside the charger. Good buy.

the carabiner. By far the weakest component in this product is the carabiner. It is made out of plastic and I am not a fan of the latching mechanism. I wear my cases attached my hip and neither the carabiner’s material not the latching mechanism give me much confidence.I’d hate loosing my AirPods because of a flimsy carabiner.On the other hand, the strongest point in this case is the lid closing using magnets. Those magnets are the reason why I didn’t go for the Spiegen case which I have for my third generation pods however the lid has opened at least four times while hiking, which is not good.Anyway, I am torn between three and four stars just because of the carabiner.If the carabiner were as good as the rest of the case this product would be a five-star product without question.Regards.

sion of ESR Halolock. I have the AirPods Pro first generation with MagSafe case. I previously used the soft TPU-style ESR Magnetic Case with HaloLock, but decided to upgrade to something more rugged. Saw this new case from ESR and decided to check it out.It’s designed for the new AirPods Pro 2nd Gen and has appropriate cutouts for the microphone/speaker. Obviously, those holes aren’t needed for my 1st Gen Air Pods Pro, but everything still fits perfectly. The lightning connector is centered, charging LED is visible, and the pairing button works great. I especially like the strong magnets on the lid to keep it closed. Yes, it does require a bit of force to open but that is preferable to accidentally bumping the lid open, which happened once or twice on my old soft TPU case.I don’t have a MagSafe charger, but this case has the positioning magnets and it charged perfectly on a quick-charge disc.The only negative – which is likely personal preference – is the type of carabiner supplied with this case. It’s a paperclip-style. I’m not a mountain climber so I don’t know if that is supposed to be more rugged, but I’ve had issues with that type in the past. I prefer the standard style of carabiner that came with my old case (if you really want something rugged, then I would get one of those screw-lock carabiners).Overall I like the rugged design and the fact that I’ll be able to use the case with the 2nd Gen Air Pods Pro when the time comes.

a snug fit and feels secure. I love this case. The material it is made of doesn’t feel rubbery and collect lint like my last AirPod case. It is very sturdy and feels durable. The cover of the case is holding well with the adhesion and the magnets for the cover help keep the cover for the AirPods close. There are also magnets on the back of it to put on anything metal if you need to. It is a perfect fit for my new 2nd gen AirPod Pros.

his as their go-to case!. I don’t drop my AirPods much. But we all know how terrifying it is when you do and those little things fly out across the room.This case has STRONG magnetic force holding that cap on. Like, I almost worry if it’ll put excess stress on the hinge long-term (but it shouldn’t, it’s just that strong when you first start opening it).Installation was a breeze, just slide the bottom portion on, peel the sticker in the lid portion, and slide it down firmly. It doesn’t wobble or flex at all.Perfect cutouts for the speaker in the bottom, LED is clearly visible, and while it’s a little bulkier than the tiny case itself, it doesn’t really add any noticeable bulk to my pocket (I’m not interested in having it bounce around on the included carabiner clipped to my belt).I had the Dbrand Grip case for my Gen 1s and loved it, but this is definitely less bulky and the MagSafe in the case still gets a nice strong pull, something the Dbrand did not do well.100% recommended case. Very cost-effective and I LOVE the assisted magnets giving me more piece of mind.

expensive airpods…. First off my AirPod pro’s or with me every hour of everyday and making sure that they protected against falls and scratches is super important to me. Here comes the ESR case to help me with that. I’ve been using the case for only a few days but I can already tell that this is the case I’ve been missing. It’s durable and sleek and it doesn’t slide off like others cases when you pull it in and out of your pocket. I’ve been using their screen protectors for my iPhones for a few years and they have always made a great product. This is the case you need to buy if your in the market to buy protection for your AirPods.
