My pencil sharpeners have needed replacing for years and this Bostitch model has all the features I need at a reasonable price. I tried sharpening several of my dull or broken points and some new #2 pencils and it performed well. Then I tried sharpening a watercolor pencil and the point broke off and is stuck inside. After that it did not make as good a point.

When I opened the box and saw this adorable, blue, light weight sharpener I thought it was going to move all over the table while using. It doesn’t. “Blue” holds its ground, stays perfectly cool and sharpened all these colored pencils in one sitting. The shavings drawer is mess free and it’s easy to remove plug from sharpener and return all to the box when finished.It was fun to use – my 3 year old grandson agrees!

Prior to purchasing this pencil sharpener we spent too much time sharpening pencils. My kids enjoy drawing and this is a must have! We use it all the time and it’s easy and fun for the kids. It does not take up a lot of room so it fits nicely on a shelf. It comes with a cord that is of decent size so we net struggle to plug in when we have to switch to a different part of the house.To dispose of the debris you simply slide off the bottom, dump it out, and slide it back in.

I gave this to my 8 year old son for his colored pencils. It had worked exceptionally well. Has not broken or gotten clogged from the pencils yet. The only problem I can think of is the pencil collection of the shavings is somewhat on the small side. Bitching with as well as this sharpener works I can deal with that.

I have used it over and over. It takes dull points, and makes them sharp again. The motor is a little weak, and it sounds like it is having a tough time. I hope it lasts forever, but you know…with anything plastic and cheap…it probably won’t. Time will tell. Well done…so far.
