Bought this for my Quest 3 as I was looking mainly to ease the comfort on my head/face while using the quest 3. As you may already know, the quest 3 is not the most comfortable piece of hardware to attach to your face. The generic strap that comes with the unit makes your face HURT bad after 30-45 minutes of use. Plus, it requires you to constantly be readjusting the headsetas it tends to slip off your face. The BOBOVR M3 headstrap alleviates all of these things! It shifts the weight between the front and back of your headset. It’s like wearing a hard-hat except it just feels comfortable and balanced (if that makese sense). It easily removed the tension I felt on my forehad and head when using the default straps from the Quest 3.I would highly recommend this if you’re a Quest 3 owner and love being in VR, but hate the feeling it gives your head/face after 1 hour of use. Oh and the battery pack add-on is great too! it adds 2-3 hours of extra use to your battery life!

I really like this alternate strap. It balances on your head a lot better than the strap that comes with oculus headsets which puts all the weight in front. The battery pack is held on with magnets which is nice so you can snap it on while you’re playing. I do think the two nob like pieces on the top are completely useless though…they don’t even touch your head.Super easy to install. But that being said, the security strap on the front is facing the wrong way so it doesn’t go through the oculus. But I haven’t been worried about it sliding out so I just left it

I am brand new to VR. I went to a VR adventures place with some friends and we were all sweating and huffing by the end of the game and I realized VR is a pretty fun way to be active. So I bought a META3 and I read the reviews of people not really loving the default headstrap. Being the perfectionist that I am, I started researching lots of headstrap upgrades for the META3. I finally decided on this one and I have to say I have zero disappointments. Is it 100% perfect? No. And I’ll tell you what few nitpicky things I wish it did better. But first, the good. The GOOD* MASSIVE improvement over the original headstrap. The top strap combined with more weight on the back does an almost magical job of making the whole headset feel lighter on your face and require less effort to turn your head left or right, up or down.* The rear adjustment wheel. I love that thing!! Makes it SO easy for anyone in my family to easily slide the headset on, lower the back till it sits comfortably near the base of your skull, and then turn the wheel to tighten the whole thing up till it fits snug and comfy.* Installation. I’m a perfectionist and I do read instruction books and watch videos to make sure I am not messing anything up. But installation is mostly a snap. Two minor hiccups I’ll cover later, but overall, I still would say installation is good. Also, a lot of videos show the user taking the faceplate off to install. If you are like me and that makes you nervous, rest assured, you do NOT need to take the faceplate off. This strap installs just fine without having to take anything apart on your META3.* PRICE. I saw headstraps that were MUCH more expensive than this, so I was a little hesitant, because usually the saying is true, you get what you pay for. In this case, you’re just making off like you stole it! Price is very affordable especially compared to other “elite” headstraps that cost much more and have poorer customer reviews. The NEUTRAL* The battery pack. To be honest, I haven’t used it. I like the idea that it comes with an additional battery to let you keep gaming longer, but the reviews talk about a loud buzzing if you are trying to charge it while playing. And the tech specs show that you won’t even get the full advertised 2 hrs out it, probably closer to 1 – 1.5 hrs. Still, that’s better than nothing, and putting the battery on the back is easy and magnetically snaps on, you can literally do it with your eyes covered. If the buzzing bothers you, there are workarounds I saw online. End of the day, if your priority in getting a new headstrap is longer battery life, there are probably better battery solutions out there from different headstraps and neck batteries. But as a free add-on to a more comfortable headstrap and gaming experience, it’s a nice little bonus. The WISH IT WERE BETTER* Installation. I know I know, I said installation was good. But there is ONE step in the process that was a kind of a pain to me. The short velcro strap that attaches to the forehead part of the facemask can be tricky to thread into the new headstrap. If you look online people will share what worked for them. And here some people do say taking the eyeplate off the mask does make it easier. I wouldn’t know since I didn’t want to take that off my mask. Some people recommend using tweezers or other fine instruments. Its tricky, not gonna lie. But just get creative, or even try taking the faceplate off. It’s doable, trust me!* Parts. The box comes with two gel pads that are not mentioned or addressed in any of the instructions and most of the online videos I looked up. I’ll save you the trouble and confusion. The gel pads are alternate pads to the velcro sort of foam-leather pads that come with the headstrap. You can remove the foam-leather pads and put on the gel pads if you like the feel of that better. I personally didn’t like it better so for me, the headstrap was perfect right out of the box. But it would be nice if the instructions mentioned it so you’re not left wondering if you missed a step somewhere. So yeah. The good to me far outweighs any of “the bad” on this headstrap. Can’t speak to whether it’ll hold up well over time or not, but I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now and I’m a very happy camper. It stays on me snugly for everything from passively watching immersive videos sitting down to actively boxing and ducking and weaving in the Supernatural fitness app. Incredibly comfortable to wear, very well priced, and hands down an improvement over the original headstrap. Highly recommended!

The strap itself is fantastic. I’ve never had a more comfortable setup on a VR headset. It feels sturdy, sits well on my face, and works well in all positions. I really prefer this style where the weight is carried by the two pads on top of your head vs your face. Definite 5 starts as far as fit and functionality. The battery is a different story. This battery does not have near enough power or capacity for the quest 3. It’s essentially useless so DO NOT go this route if that’s your main focus. I hear there is an upgraded version in the works that has a cooling fan as well as a more appropriate battery. You may want to go that route.

I recently upgraded my VR setup with this VR Headset Battery Pack. I’m blown away by the difference it has made! If you’re tired of the heaviness of your VR headset, on your face and dealing with short battery life then this is the solution you’ve been looking for.The design of this battery pack is really clever. It has a suspended design with adjustment points that evenly distribute the pressure from the headset on your head. This means no discomfort or strain on your face during VR sessions. Additionally if you prefer you can remove the interface to fully experience the transparency of MR mode giving you flexibility, in how you use your VR headset. The convenience of the power supply is unparalleled. The battery pack features a quick release design making it easy to detach and charge the battery without disrupting your VR experience. With two battery packs included you can enjoy battery life by swapping out batteries when needed (extra battery pack available separately).I also like how the dedicated B2 battery pack is designed to lessen the weight on your head.Weighing in at 140g this battery pack balances the weight distribution of the headset making it much easier, on the head compared to power banks. With a battery pack holding 5200mAh I’ve effectively doubled my VR usage time giving me a 2 hours of gameplay or immersive experiences. On top of that the hassle free warranty offers peace of mind. The 18 month hassle free warranty ensures that I’m covered for any issues before or after purchase, which boosts my confidence, in buying this product. In summary I highly recommend this VR Headset Battery Pack. It has truly enhanced my VR experience by providing comfort, convenience and extended battery life. If you’re looking to elevate your VR gaming or immersive experiences this outstanding battery pack is the way to go.

Likes:1) Easy to assemble2) Far exceeds comfort compared to stock headstrap. Weight is effectively spread over forehead, top of head and back of head3) Included battery snaps in and out so easily you can do it while wearing the headset4) The dial for tightening and loosening the headstrap gives good audible clicking feedback while tightening and is simple to use and adjust5) The battery helps offset the weight from the headset6) Battery does a decent job extending the time you can use the headsetDislikes:1) Heavy – The battery plus the extra plastic from the head strap makes the entire contraption much heavier. It may take some getting used to2) The headset tends to wobble a bit while moving your head. You can tighten the headset to compensate but only so much before it becomes uncomfortable3) In order to provide power you must remember to press the button on the battery to activate itOverall:A well build headset and charging system that provides excellent comfort while extending playtime. Additional weight seems a small price to pay for the benefits provided. Would Recommend!

I bought this for my Quest 3 even though I read some reviews about the battery making noise, battery dying very quickly, and not keeping the headset actually fully charged. I can say I have experienced all of these and there are ways to reducing the negatives and get a better experience with this.I have also bought the M2 Plus combo with charging base and 2 batteries and the same for the Pico 4 just so I can have spare batteries and the ability to charge 4 batteries at once since there are some game sessions I can play for 8-12 hours straight (simulation driving/racing/flying) and don’t want to fiddle around with hooking up a charging cable to my headset while I wait for the batter(y/ies) to charge. Onto how to control the issues.Battery drains really quick:This one and the headset not staying charged while battery is attached fall under almost the same category of causes, but I’ll keep them separate. So the B2 batteries can put out a max of 15w of power, but the Quest 3 when it is at 100% usage could pull a total of 18w of power. So trying to use less power will get you better battery life out of the B2. Turning off 120hz refresh rate, turning the brightness down, and limiting passthrough usage will help get the longest battery life. If you calculate it out, the B2 has 26 Wh of power, and the battery saying the max output it can do it 15w means that you should get roughly 1.75 hours of battery life out of the B2, but I have seen a battery drain in about an hour and my average is about 1.5 hours of battery life out of each one, so I think it is capable of putting out more than the 15w it says it can. When it does drain down faster, it does get warmer.Headset battery doesn’t stay full when using B2:This is to be expected if the headset is working at 100% load. Since the headset can use 18w (have seen people say, and I can verify, it can pull a total of 23w when plugged into a charger/battery pack) and the battery pack only being able to supply 15w of power, the headset will need to use some of its own battery to provide enough power when under a heavy load. With my above suggestions for extending the battery life, I have done all of those except turn down the brightness, and when streaming games from my computer with Virtual Desktop at 90hz to the headset, after using 2 B2 batteries, my headset is at about 80-86% battery when the 2nd B2 beeps when it is drained. I usually don’t see the headset go below 80% battery level when using the 3rd battery or 4th battery, but if you work the headset hard enough and long enough with a bunch of B2 batteries, it could eventually drain the headset all the way down to almost empty.Battery making noise:I notice that my batteries make some what of a noise (like coil whine from a GPU under heavy load) when I am playing games directly from the headset, but if you have the volume up to about 75% or more, the game drowns out the buzzing. When I am using Virtual Desktop to stream games from my computer, every once in awhile I hear the slightest buzz from the battery, but if I’m not paying attention to it, I forget it is even there. Also as soon as you start playing anything from the speakers, it instantly over powers the noise of the buzz. When not in any apps and just using the menu of the Quest 3, I don’t hear any buzzing at all from the B2 since I think the headset isn’t pulling enough juice from it to cause the noise.Overall, I am very happy with my M3 head strap. It is much more comfortable the then original head strap and even the elite head strap since it takes the pressure off the front of your face and moves it to your forehead. Like I said above, I love it so much that I bought the M2 Plus bundle and the Pico 4 bundle just to get the batteries and chargers. I gave the M2 to a buddy who has the Quest 2 and the Pico 4 I just have sitting aside doing nothing, just so I can have 2 charging stands and a total of 5 batteries (1 with M3, 2 with M2 bundle, and 2 with Pico 4 bundle) and everything in the end being cheaper than buying the batteries and charging stand on their own.EDIT: just putting the edit here and not changing anything above. It ended up costing me $10 more total to buy the 2 extra head strap bundles than to buy the chargers and batteries separately, but with how much of a backorder everything is with BOBOVR right now, I was willing to pay the $10 extra to get what I wanted in 2 days instead of 2 to 4+ weeks.
