I cut the clamps off and replaced them with a cigarette lighter plug like my old Snap On. This one works quickly, has visual LED lights and auditory beep for voltage and ground. The tip is super fine and easily gets the recessed top pins on mini automotive fuses. Great tool!

I am no mechanic by any means but having this tool, I can at least confirm some basic troubleshooting tasks before moving on. No more guesswork. Simple to use this and I should have added one to the toolbox a long, long time ago. Not too expensive either and seems to be good quality. Light is bright enough and gives an instant response to whether you have voltage or not. I can see myself taking on more projects by having this so hopefully it will save me some money too.

onfusing?!?. For an item that is supposed to simplify work on your car, they have managed to over complicate a simple device. In addition to that, it says that you can do a Continuity check, but it doesn’t! I would steer clear of this unit.! Also; noting the directions are completely unusable!

nd is coiled. Deal killer. I would not buy this probe because coiled cables are a pain in the xxx and the cable is less than 12′. Change the cable to straight wire, double the length and I would buy one.

I do a lot of work on cars and motorcycles so I have a pretty good collection of tool including tools used for testing a variety of issues. This does the job of several and is designed in a way where even a novice diy user can quickly master it. Over a multimeter which is what i had been using this does not require two hands to test the circuit. The positive and negative grounds are clamped in place and with the 6 foot flexible test cord the clamps dont need to be constantly moved in order to reach. It makes troubleshooting a breeze for my 12 volt car and bike and even 24, 48 and up to 60 volt cordless tools and multi battery golf carts and higher voltage electric vehicles. The idiot lights are great for accidently reversing the polarity or higher voltages over 60v. Easily test for broken/disconnected wires, bad batteries, blown fuses or open circuits within the parts themselves no matter the direction of the flow. Easily cuts my troubleshooting time in half.
