While the lock looks nice, I am unsure how secure it’s going to be. It feels like a lightweight plastic. We have it on our outdoor shed so I’m hoping that it’s not a piece of cake should anyone decide to break in.

I actually returned this.Setting the code was a breeze and it worked the first two times. So thankful I didn’t go ahead and use this for my work locker because after trying to use it three times my code that I set I don’t know if it was just unrecognizable or what but I couldn’t get it open. They say you get what you pay for so I’ve often into having one with a key just so I know I can get into it.

The lock is preset to code 0000 and i tried changing it to the one i wanted with the instructions on the package. Guess what?! It didnt work at all. The only way to open it and close it is to have 0000 in.

Cheap price does its job cannot ask for anything more Easy to change combinations I don’t know if I’d necessarily use this lock out the words especially if you’ve lived in harsh climates but it’s great for a gym lock or a school locker

I don’t know if its waterproof (questions asked when I started the review). I don’t know if it resists tampering. the only criticism is that numbers are chrome on chrome background. in my gym locker room the light is dim, so it is hard to make out the numbers. Black numbers on a chrome medium would have been better.

Let’s face it – in today’s world of affordable, effective battery powered angle grinders a padlock isn’t keeping anyone that wants in out. As a deterrent from somebody just walking up and poking around in shed this is just what is needed. Been outside in winter 4 months now and hasn’t frozen. Combination wheels turn smoothly and are easy to read. Wanted one that had 4 numbers that you can choose so older parents could set to same code as garage (since they can remember THAT one). One thing to know (if it matters to you) is when you re-lock you have can’t spin numbers first… close and then spin. Wouldn’t keep me from buying another…
