I was a little skeptical of this soundbar being sub 100.00 US. But once I installed it to my TV it really made me a believer. I really like the sound quality. We use this in the Kitchen and the sound is great no matter where we are in the room. Additionally, I did learn one thing. To allow my TV to control the volume or auto turn the speaker on and off I had to remove the optical cable that comes with the speaker and instead use HDMI Arc Audio. This allows the speaker to work in full conjunction with the TV. Overall a great purchase.

This soundbar is a great quality soundbar for the price.If your like me, and have kids, animals, and other environmental noises, your TV’s audio is lacking (like my TCL TV), or your simply hard of hearing (i have all 3 issues!).. this soundbar is perfect!It has several different sound modes, so you can switch between various modes depending upon if you want a “home cinema” feel for loud action movies, want the sound of the voices to stand out during long dialogs that would usually be hard to hear due to background sounds/music in the show/movie, or want to have a better gaming/music experience.. this soundbar has a mode for your needs.It’s simple to set up (plug and play), simple to pair to for Bluetooth, and has a clean/sleek design for mounting and/or placing in your entertainment center.Overall, it’s a solid 5 star for me based on price vs quality

Sony sound systems are typically durable and high quality but I was skeptical given the price of this one.I was surprised how good the sound quality is. I have the sound bar connected via Bluetooth and it works great!It looks great, is durable and light weight. I guess the only negative (if I had to pick one) is that the top volume is not too loud so if you have a big loud room, it might not be loud enough.

So, we put our house on the market which meant the home theater speakers and stereo became victims of the declutterring process. We left the tv mounted to the wall with an Amazon Fire Stick on the wall but our tv doesn’t have speakers. We settled on this as our temporary solution figuring we can use it with our bedroom tv once we move. Well, like most things, you get what you pay for. It’s not horrible by any means, and if you use it for watching tv, it’s adequate for most tastes. Bass is weak overall (understandably) and it gets pretty loud but it’s not quality sound. Our tv is older so connecting it to the speaker was a little trial and error. We had to use the optical cable (which I have to disconnect during showings so I don’t have wires hanging down (the optical cable is really short so I can’t run it behind the wall like my other cables)). It was easy to link my iPhone (Bluetooth) for music but again, the sound quality is just barely passable. I wouldn’t recommend this for music lovers as it will likely disappoint.It’s a cheap band aid for us till we sell our home and I can get my system set up at our new place. I’m really missing my powered subwoofer but I’ll make it for a couple months. Not even sure we’ll keep this soundbar for the bedroom at this point.

I purchased this soundbar to elevate my living room TV experience and to listen to music. The soundbar connects to my TV via HDMI cable and automatically connects to my TV’s sound when the TV is turned on. The soundbar’s bluetooth allows me to play from my phone and record player. You can also input directly to the soundbar from various wired devices. The soundbar itself is sleek as the top has leather-like material, with buttons (these are flat into the top, really just a touch pad) to turn on and off or change inputs, and is easy to clean. This also comes with a remote to turn on and off or change inputs if you don’t want to use the buttons on the top. The sound is incredible and makes you feel like you are in a theater with the surround sound. This was well worth the price.

The sound bar works like a dream, excellent sound quality (once I got it to work). The only problem I had was in hooking it up to my Sony Smart TV. My TV had a HDMI ARC port that was touted as the easiest way to complete the installation. Simply connect the sound bar to the TV via this ARC port. Well I did that and once I turned it on I got no sound. I followed the recommendations to turn the TV on first as the sound bar may be in the mute mode. Long story short, after reading suggested trouble shooting ideas and swapping out HDMI cables with no luck I decided to try another HDMI port and the optical cable that was provided. I finally had sound the moment I turned everything back on! I’m very pleased with the product.

I was worried that this would be hard to set up and that it wouldn’t work with my TV. I was wrong! It literally took 2 minutes and it works with my TV remote with no extra programming. It even turns on and off with the TV remote.The sound is wonderful! We no longer have to have the TV on maximum sound level as my hard of hearing husband can understand the conversations on shows again.And the price was right!

Just received and paired the Sony Soundbar with a new LG 43″ Smart TV. The system is in our den, 8 feet from where we sit when watching and listening. In the dynamics of this setting the sound is a significant upgrade from the TV’s built in speakers. The soundbar’s set up took 15 minutes, including unpacking. Everything worked near perfectly first push of the on button. This is a great product for a very reasonable price.

So , I have had Sony Bravia televisions for 20 years my last sound bar was a no name brand great gift. This one Sony is the same wattage as my last one. The setup was pretty simple and had a quick call to set the inputs correctly 5 maybe 10 minutes well worth quick setup no frustration. The sound is amazing for a small room about 10’x20′ . I have always appreciated Sony and this is great price super sound. No bass boost but that is an amazingly minor flaw. If I was asked I would say buy it again I would absolutely.

Sometimes the TV and the soundbar audio are on at the same time and create an echo. Probably the TV and not the soundbar but I don’t know for sure. Easy enough to fix but the remote requires me to get up off the couch to get the line-of-sight to the sound bar to turn it off.

I am biased in favor of Sony products and have been since my introduction to their TV’s the 1980’s. This sound bar is sturdy, has some weight and produces good sound overall. It is not for the audiophile but for average folks like me, it works just fine. Two comments: First, the controls that are on top of the device and their designation lights are a bit confusing and hard to read. Second, I do not like that it can be paired with my remote for my Firestick’s remote. I want to un-pair it but haven’t figured out how to do that yet and my instructions don’t cover that information. However, I still like this sound bar really well. This leads me to a general comment about technology. It is frustrating to have to google every instruction for all these electronic devices. It is a tremendous waste of time when I could be doing other things – like write reviews.

It’s a good value with solid performance. Just set the proper expectations. As soundbar for your second living room or bedroom it’s great. Clarity is good and good punch. No distortion at high volume. It won’t work as a primary soundbar in a big main living room because no separate subwoofer. Sony makes quality products and this is one of them at a very good value.

I picked up this sound bar for $99 during the Christmas holiday sale to compliment my new 75” Samsung TV that I bought on Black Friday. The TV speakers were horrible so I had to get a sound bar that improved quality and overall performance. I decided on a 2.0 setup because I didn’t want or need a subwoofer in my living room. I just wanted natural high quality sound. This Sony unit really delivers in a modest way. The cost is relatively cheap and the unit is very high quality/solid feeling and it sounds very good for its size even with a lack of a subwoofer. You really need to have a short viewing distance from your TV to get the full Sony sound quality in action. If not, it still gets very loud for larger rooms and still has a nice clean and defined sound coming right at you. Play around with the different sound settings to get to learn how good the sound quality is. You don’t have much bass but you do have a very neutral and balanced sound profile. It’s very easy to listen to for long periods of time without sounding like overkill when you compare it to other sound bars with subwoofers, more speakers, and more channels. I recommend you grab it while you can and enjoy a neat little sound bar that provides a modest sound experience at a bargain price.

You know you are getting old when the volume level that is comfortable is blaring to everyone else! Not so with this soundbar. It gives a “clarity and crispness” to dialogue that volume alone cannot deliver. It was easy to install. It took just a few minutes to get it in place, and we are not a bit technoligically gifted. It was/is a great blessing to our television viewing.

Great sound bar for the price it’s truly amazing. Wall mountable, crisp clear sound, no crackling audio, easy to install, and it’s made by Sony, so you know it’s good quality. Plus Remote control and batteries are included.Side note: You have the option to either use HDMI(ARC) ((Audio Return Channel)) using an hdmi cable, which is not included. Or using an optical cable, which is included. If your TV does not have hdmi(ARC) use optical cable and use a non hdmi(ARC) port. If you do have hdmi(ARC) you do not need the optic cable provided.

This item is really great and sounds really great. I bought a couple of them only problem is when I use just the Bluetooth function. The Bluetooth disengage is in falls off a little bit more often than I’d like and I have to turn it off and on for it to re-register With my phone but when it’s hooked to a TV it sounds really good if you have a small space like a TV in your bedroom. I do recommend it because it sounds great and the dialogue is very clear.
