I got this book for my 4 year old who will be starting VPK(voluntary pre-kindergarten). She loves it. It is well put together. She is currently working on the letters, but they only do 4 at a time and do several activities for each letter. It works on colors, upper and lowercase letters, patterns l, how to follow directions, how to start to write by tracing the letters and so so so much more. She actually looks forward to the time we spend working in the book. This is a great book.

I’m not very pleased about being sent a supposedly “new” book with a cover that looks like it was run over by a car or something! The pages within are fine, but I wouldn’t give this as a gift to anyone with the cover in this condition (not that I was going to anyway). Aside from that, the book covers basic preschool concepts such as pencil control, numbers, and alphabet. Pencil control, to me, is one of the most important concepts a preschooler needs to learn. It will help them greatly when they begin to write letters and numbers later on in this book and in the kindergarten through 3rd grade books as well. Following directions is another important concept your child will learn when using this book. The colorful pages will keep your child’s attention and encourage them to use the book. You can also use reward stickers (not included) with this book when your child has completed a page to give them a sense of accomplishment.
