Close to being right on voltage wise, reads a little high without a ground. Reads just a hair low with ground. Wish the labels in the circles would stay lit so you do not have to remember the order of E, N, and L.

The functions work as expected. Detection wise, there’s a sentivity setting for NCV. The issue is the probe sensor/antenna is probably not at the ‘sharp’ pointy end, and behaving more like it is inside the unit. It will work detecting voltage for sure in an electrical socket or wire, and sensitive enough to differentiate between 2 adjascent wires which is the live one.However, the dealbreaker for me is the probe color scheme. The main Amazon photo shows a monotone color scheme for the probe. That is – the red probe is entirely red. But what I received was like the last photo in Amazon which as stupid and dangerously confusing black-red-then-red at probe coloring. What’s worse is the cap follows the long handle. So when you take off the black cap, the end tip is red! It is so easy to confuse black vs red! Did the designers never use the tool?See photo.

Just got it today I am very impressed so far. Very sensitive and picking up the AC voltage via ‘air’. Very rare do I ever doing all five star rating because there’s always room for improvement somewhere but I would definitely buy it again.

I liked the design and the features. For the first test uses, it was exactly what I was looking for.I never liked the designs with the 3 lamps. Always needed to look at the key to determine exactly what was being displayed. The triangle does a good job showing the proper hookup and the voltage values ensure you have no excessive resistance in the line. Like I said, the testing I did around my own home looked fantastic. I quickly tossed the unit into my bag and anticipated my first use.I took it to a place that my group was setting up for an Afghan Refugee family and hit my first GFI test. The device went dead and has not worked since. I switched to an older 3-lamp unit and the GFI worked fine and the wiring was correct. My meter showed voltage as expected. No idea what happened, but the first time I needed to use the device it simply died.Will not buy again or recommend. Would love to see a similar device by a more reputable manufacturer.
