My heart feels so full right now…This was a story I was so looking forward to. It was everything I hoped it to be and so so much more. From the first time Nesta and Cassian met you knew they were going to just as spectacular as Rhys and Freya.I loved Nedra’s journey in this book, not just for herself or Cassian but her friendship with Gwen and Emerie. It was beautifully written right up until the end.I loved how the book ended with the 3 sisters together. Simply beautiful.

I never leave reviews. But for this book I HAD TO.I was not a Nesta fan. At all. But this booked changed it for me. The character development is so good. You start off annoyed but throughout you come to see why Nesta is the way she is, and fall in love with her fight to overcome her trauma. Anyone who has faced abuse, as myself has, will relate to her in a way some may not. The growth Nesta encounters not just physically, but mentally and emotionally is encouraging to anyone who reads. This book also targets the power of friendship. Which will leave you just as emotional as the rest of the impactful moments. Nesta doesn’t just learn to love herself throughout the book, but she learns to love others, and embrace the love that captured even her human heart when she met cassian. This book definitely has more spice than the others in my opinion. Nesta also learns to forgive herself as well as owning up and overcoming her mistakes. Overall, the storyline, character development; and the powerful impactful moments will leave you crying, laughing and falling in love with not just Nesta but the entire night court all over again. ACOSF has become my favorite of the series. ❤️

This novel was so much more than just a romance book to me. This instalment was by far my favorite of the ACOTAR series books. This book took me on a journey of self-discovery and healing, while also having elements of romance that were both deep and sexy. What I found so appealing about this book was how realistically and beautifully Maas explores the themes of growth and redemption through the lens of what is, to most, a thoroughly unlikable and complex character. Nesta’s journey deeply resonated with e on a personal level. I related to her struggles with internal anger and difficulties with being venerable with those that she loves. her struggles, resilience, and path to finding inner strength and peace were portrayed with such raw honesty that I found it impossible not to be moved by her story.I also found the elements of romance in this book to be crafted incredibly well, with a balance between passion and love. I felt that it enhanced the character’s stories, as opposed to overshadowing them. Maas handles her relationships with such care, making the connection between Cassian and Nesta feel genuine. Mass also does an incredible job of portraying healing journeys, reminding us of the power of self-love when facing our inner demons. All of these elements make A Court of Silver Flames a standout in the genre of romance/ fantasy. This book is so beautifully written and captures the nature of resilience and transformative power of self-acceptance and self-discovery. This book has stayed with me long after I finished reading it, and I find myself often returning to read it again.

Oh, Sarah J. Maas, you’ve done it again with “A Court of Silver Flames”! I loved it so many great moments and the ending had my eyes watering. Did someone cut an onion up in here? 😜 I have so many spiraling theories of what is to come especially if you have read any other books by her 👀 Who else is spiraling here? This book is a mesmerizing dance between characters, emotions, and the haunting echoes of a war-torn world. Nesta Archeron, the fiery and complex heroine, takes center stage, and it’s a performance that leaves you wanting more. I will admit her character development has finally grown on me. Hoping that we see another side to her and Cassian as the series continues. Cannot wait for Elain’s book!Nesta’s journey from a prickly High Fae struggling to find her place to a character wrestling with her demons is a rollercoaster of emotions. And the chemistry between Nesta and Cassian? The sparks, the tension, it’s like a burning flame you can’t look away from. Here for it!Maas continues to weave a world where darkness and desire collide, and “A Court of Silver Flames” is no exception. The treacherous alliances, and the fragile peace hanging by a thread, are a testament to Maas’s skill in crafting not just characters, but entire realms that feel alive with tension and intrigue. Seriously, how does she do it?!There are so many crumbs in this book so if you are thinking of annotating parts – do it!For fans of the A Court of Roses and Thorns series, this installment is a feast of emotions and revelations. It’s not just a book; it’s a journey into the depths of healing, acceptance, and the enduring power of love. A must-read for anyone enchanted by the magical realms Maas so brilliantly creates.✨📖🌌Cannot wait for what is next! C’mon Jan 30th HOFAS!!!!

This book has SO much good, and at least one serious issue.I loved Nesta’s character development. In a lot of ways I cannot relate to her as a character and didn’t like her in the previous books. But in ACOSF that changed. After getting more insight into Nesta’s internal world, and watching her development, I actually love her character. This story runs as a similar narrative to Fayre’s, but as a counterpoint. This is a character who deeply STRUGGLES through her trauma, struggles with her internal fire, and as a result, struggles in building connections to those closest to her.I think this is an important point about trauma recovery (speaking as someone recovering from major trauma) – we all process things differently. At different speeds. And different people react to healing differently. I honestly think this arc is a very very helpful and well thought out counterpoint to Feyre’s arc – almost like a harmonizing melody. Some people will deeply see themselves and feel validated in Nesta’s process of healing, and that alone makes this plot worthwhile.About the sex: it’s spicy. Extremely spicy. If you have gotten this far in the series, I don’t know how you’d expect anything else. I’m noticing the majority of negative reviews are about too much sex. If you think this book is going to get less sexy than the rest, you are mistaken. The sex scenes are well written, and for a period of time, the only major “romantic” points in the book (this is also a symptom of some forms of trauma and common for people who struggle with connection). If sex bothers you, and you cant imagine it as a plot device or a viable way to respond to connection issues, you probably aren’t going to resonate with this book. But if you enjoy a sexy, compelling story, you’ll likely enjoy. Now for the major problems I had with this book (BIG SPOILERS AHEAD):Fayre and Rhysand…oh god. While they were interesting, multidimensional, sexy, just honestly fantastic characters in the previous books (I will re-read ACOMAF many, many times) they were honestly SO hard to read in this book. I understand that this book was written from the perspective of someone who doesn’t particularly like them, but even their objective actions (and when the book was from Cassian’s perspective) painted them as dull, frustrating, often domineering to the point of being disrespectful, cardboard characters. And Rhysand was the absolute worst. Coming from someone who loves these characters, loves their arc, relates deeply to Fayre, this arc was deeply disappointing. Honestly I’d rather just forget it happened and go back to ACOMAF.BIG BIG BIG SPOILER (please stop reading if you haven’t read this book, or if you plan to):As someone who has had a non-viable pregnancy that could have posed serious risk to me if I didn’t find out in time…I would never, ever forgive anyone who kept me in the dark about it. Ever. And i know many women who feel the same. As an empowering book for young women, it disturbed me the entire time how the characters addressed this situation with Fayre. Especially Rhysand and Madja. I know the ida of Nesta telling Fayre about it was supposed to make the point that women should know the truth, but the way the entire thing went down just felt…so entirely wrong. It gave me a very Twilight, Breaking Dawn vibe, except worse because at least Edward was honest with Bella from the beginning (and even worse because Fayre and Rhysand are actually well developed characters who I enjoy reading).I was happy that it all worked out in the end, but the entire time leading up to the resolution just felt so wrong. And Fayre’s reaction to it all just felt…stiff, cardboard, idyllic wife and mother, rather than a truly wholistic person with their own feelings. All in all, I loved Nesta’s story, loved her arc, loved the Valkyries…and WISH the Rhysand/Fayre situation had been handled in any possible way differently.I cannot say this enough. This book is solid, I enjoyed it, but I SO wish Fayre and Rhysand had been written differently.

I enjoyed this one way more than I thought I would. A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J Maas is the newest installment of A Court of Thorns and Roses, following Nesta as she navigates her new life as a Fae with a little help from Cassian. This book picks up a year after A Court of Frost and Starlight. During that year, Feyre and Elain have given Nesta her space, hoping that in doing so Nesta would come to terms with everything that has happened to her. Instead, Nesta has only gotten worse. Now she is offered a last chance to set things right, and the person she is ordered to work with is the one person she can’t stand the sight of. Both heartbreaking and uplifting A Court of Silver Flames delves deep into how trauma can affect our everyday lives and the steps to overcome it.Nesta was never my favorite character…that is until I read this book. I thought her unnecessarily cruel and brash, caring only for herself and how the situation of others reflected upon her. Oh how I was wrong! Nesta is more like Feyre. In fact, I’d go as far to say they are identical which is probably why they don’t get along so well. While Nesta puts up a fierce face, her insides are cracked, broken, and festering. Watching helpless as the king of Hybern turned Elain into a Fae then facing the same fate was just the tip of the iceberg Nesta has to overcome. Unable to stop her father’s death and witnessing it haunts her every waking moment. All of this combined with the fact that those who she should be able to rely on do not trust her and fear the power that resides in her.All of this culminates into the person we see at the beginning of the book: a callous drunk who sleeps with random strangers to keep the nightmares at bay. After one particular night where she spent an ungodly amount of the Night Lord’s money, Cassian arrives and forces her to go to Feyre. It is this scene that is a pivot point for her. Feyre offers Nesta some tough love: go live at the House of Wind, work in the library below, no drinking and train with Cassian or go back to the mortal world to live alone as she has shut everyone out. Resentful and just a bit bitter, Nesta begrudgingly accepts and thus the story begins.Cassian is one of my favorites of the series. I could read stories about Azriel and him all day. As the commander of Rhys’s armies, Cassian has big shoes to fill. He’s always been a jokester, downplaying his responsibilities because he doesn’t believe in himself. He believes he is nothing more than an Illyrian bastard despite the power running through his veins. After losing a large force during the war, Cassian must regain the trust of his troops and also find peace for himself. Yet another battle looms, and he isn’t sure how to face it. Add to that he now has to train Nesta, and he feels like he is barely treading water. Despite all of this, Cassian sees to the heart of Nesta and realizes they aren’t that different. So much happens in this story! Nesta dealing with her severe PTSD, Cassian taking on more responsibility, and the hunt for three mythical artifacts that may turn the tide and settle the unrest in Prythian. I personally enjoyed every word, even the hard stuff. I laughed a lot, I cried a little, and I swooned majorly. I also love two characters that are brought in later who become friends and confidantes of Nesta. They are wonderful, and I hope to see more of them.Overall, I loved A Court of Silver Flames. I couldn’t read it fast enough. I’ll be honest, I was hesitant to continue reading the series because I thought it had a good ending, but I’m SO glad I continued because Nesta and Cassian are perfect! The story is one that needed to be told. I loved how Maas handled Nesta’s depression and self-loathing. It brought her to life off the pages and resonated so deeply with me. If you are a fan of the series, I highly recommend it.
